One of my favourite places to visit!
One of my favourite places to visit! I live in the city (Perth) and not nearly enough people are as friendly and conversational as they are in Margaret River. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and you’re surrounded by nature.
You must visit the Margaret River Chocolate Company, Wow Illusions, and the Margaret River Sweet Shop. And make sure to stop in at Cowaramup on the way through!
Some of the roads are a little iffy, but majority have either been updated or are getting updated as we speak.

Beautiful scenery and wilderness to explore.
Beautiful scenery and wilderness to explore. Incredible wineries, breweries and a great distillery to check out. Excellent food options, and unbelievable coastal vistas. Go bush walking, enjoy the beach!
Only downside is things can be a bit pricier than in a big city - ie: groceries, meals out etc. But that's a fairly minor complaint, and something to be expected.

This is a lovely town, but be aware it really exists just because of tourism. The vast majority of shops are there to support that, so gift shops aplenty! It’s worth a visit for an afternoon, or stay there, or locally, as a base, but in itself is rather limited.

Great little town, easily walkable, with many good places to eat and drink. Lots of good shops too. Close to lovely beaches, forest walks and many wineries. A very good location for those that enjoy the outdoor life and good food.
Everything from the facilities, to the staff, to the location was perfect. The staff were so friendly upon arrival, the gentleman showed us the tourist brochures and engaged in conversation, offering recommendations.
When we entered the room, we were blown away by how clean and fresh the room was. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was lovely to sit out on the verandah and watch the parrots while we had a coffee. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone wanting to stay in Margaret River.
A beautiful estate in Margaret river perfect for family adventures. The self sufficient estate is 2km off the highway in the middle of lush forest. Your chalet by the lake is perfect for a family of 5 or two couples out on a holiday. The chalets are luxurious with a TV connection and a collection of dvds to borrow from. The family run estate will have Linda or Lucy always at hand to help. You can take little trails within the estate or Lucy will be happy to take you for a tour on the electric buggy
Great location just out of Margaret River Town centre. Lovely self contained cabin with outdoor bath and a communal kitchen guests can use to cook meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with a big gas stove top, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. There is a communal fire pit in the centre of the property which is lit at 7pm each night (pending weather) and encourages guests to come together. Check in was easy and staff were available to answer questions we had along the way.
Rosewood Guesthouse is a lovely place to stay. The gardens are just gorgeous, and that whole place has character. We really enjoyed our weekend away. Jane and Keith are both just lovely hosts, that both looked after us. The breakfasts were delicious. It's a short walk to "The River" which has great food and atmosphere, plus live music. Walk another 10 mins or so and you're at the main street of Margaret River. When you return you can enjoy a little nightcap.
Location is perfect, we walked everywhere from the house to margaret river town, walked to dinner, shopping, pub all of it... Secured back yard for dogs and close to walk trails, everything you could have needed inside the house and quite secluded being the rear unit. Bedrooms are neat with ceilaing fans and there is an aircon in the main living area. Its is definately a fair price for good accomodation.
Excellent location close to the centre of Margaret River. The nearest restaurant is about 100 metres away! Plenty of space, clean and well equiped. Comfortable bed and good showers. Communication with owner was great. This house was perfect for us - we wished we could have stayed longer!
The location was perfect, close to all activities in Margaret river. The lounge with fire was a great place to have a glass of wine and some cheese. The onsite restaurants were both excellent, bookings would be recommended especially over the weekends.
Pam and Dirk are such a nice host. They made us feel like home. Dirk provided us resourceful information about Margaret River areas, which were very useful for us to arrange day trips to those suggested places. I also liked homemade bread Pam made ☺️
We really enjoyed the old school decor and our room layout. It was functional and cosy. The hotel was in a good location, at the start of the Margaret River main street and very close access to nice restaurants.
The property was surrounded by tall timbers and it was whisper quiet. The property was within easy reach of the centre of Margaret River and the beach. To get away from it all, don't go past this place.
the fire pits were a great addition for something to do at night time! the house was clean and tidy, the location was so close to Margaret river centre. fantastic value for money
great location in Margaret river town, close to shops and restaurants. Terry and Michele were so welcoming and we would highly recommend this hotel, great value for money.
We loved the self contained cottage, with 2 bedrooms, comfortable beds and nice living room with space. We were provided with a porta cot and high chair for our baby
