Great town with all the facilities you would expect in a larger regional town. Right on the river there are some great little spots to fish, sit and look at the river and its occupants go by or have a picnic with a significant other lots to do and see around Grafton.

It was close (within walking distance to the big shopping centre) and it was simple to find.
The staff were lenient and patient and when I asked for a ground floor room she gave it to me. The shower looked nice also.

Ann and David were perfect hosts.
Ann and David were perfect hosts. I wish we had stayed here on our way to Queensland before. Would definitely recommend this B&B to my friends. The cooked breakfast was really good.
The cuppa and home made cake David made was an extra treat on our arrival.
Will stay again for sure. Ros & Keith xx

We were there for a race meeting, very lovely race course and enjoyed the day greatly. Great pubs and restaurants close to the Civic and race course. Easy to get into the main area via the new bridge.

Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained.
Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained. Kitchenette was from the 60's. Water in bathroom basin only had hot, shower needed a good scrub, mould on shower ceiling. No air con in main living area. Window that looked onto motel walkway curtains did not cover properly so people could see in when they walked past.
Very over priced & over rated by others, are you sure they actually stayed there. Bates hotel would have been better.
Town was on valium. Where has the old charm of Grafton gone?
I would give Grafton a big miss.

Sadly it was raining the time we were there which limited what we were able to do. But we walked the main street and had brunch with friends who live there, who we had gone to see on our way home from our big trip South. It looks like a lovely town.
Abbey Inn was a beautiful Motel. Obviously the rooms have been renovated and were very comfortable, with a lovely leather lounge. The bathroom was exceptional, and the shower was the best I have ever experienced, even after travelling extensively overseas. Our family had 3 rooms at the Motel, and everyone commented on the showers. The Motel was close to shops, and within walking distance of the venues we needed. If we have the need to travel to Grafton again, we will certainly use the Abbey Motor Inn.
Andavine House is a great stopover if you travel with your dog. You have half the house and deck. It is very private and comfortable and the dog is welcome to stay inside with you in his own bed. Anne and David were so lovely and welcomed us upon arrival. Brekky is included. Hugo (the dog) and I loved staying there. The town center is a short stroll away and you can park the car on the property. Can highly recommend iAndavine House. Thanks, Anne and David for your hospitality.
Really wanted to find a motel to stay in during our many travels each year. This was our first stay at Fitzroy Motor Inn and it was fine, but it lost points because of noisy, selfish and ignorant neighbours. Their kids were shouting and screaming without any correction by their parents. Very rude behaviour. Not the hotels problem, but still reflects badly on the chances of me staying there again.
The house is very spacious, warm and well maintained. The surrounding bushland is just beautiful, full of wildlife and colour. Everything we needed was provided, and Anne and Kevin were very welcoming hosts. We were all very comfortable in the beds provided, and the large bathroom including a bathtub was great for the kids with us. We would definitely stay again if we visit the Grafton area.
The room was small but charming, a little bit different to the standard brick Aussie motel with a plate glass window looking out over the river. We were there overnight while on a bike trip, and and it was the perfect comfy spot to kick off the boots and relax with a beer overlooking the river.
Nice motel. A little bit aged, but in very clean tidy condition. The location, well out of Grafton was a disappointment. We had to go a long way to find something to eat. The noise from big trucks on the highway was horrendous. Still, we had a comfortable night.
It was ideally placed for our weekend at Grafton for the horse races. Close to restaurants and pubs also. Loved the reception from the owner when we arrived, very welcoming. We arrived a little early, didn't matter just a phone call away.
we arrived after hours ,and our key was in a well marked envelope ,,with a map showing us how to get to our cabin
all the cabins numbers were large and easy to see ,,especially last at night
we could park right next to our cabin
The room was very clean, well equipped and the bathroom has been updated. It is called the Hi-Way motel for a reason - there was some heavy traffic noise until nightfall, but after dark it seemed to quieten down.
Just south of Grafton but still in a good location. Decent sized room with all the necessary facilities. New taps and shower head which were great. They made an effort to make the room look nice. Very comfortable.
Rooms looked like it had just been renovated recently. The tv was HUGE - biggest we’d had ever seen in a hotel room. Aircon looked pretty new. Hot water system was awesome. Bed was comfy. Very good rate.
Room was clean and well maintained. And provided tea and coffee making facilities as well as a Micriowave. Also Hotel was located close to the centre of town.
Size of room was good. Very comfortable bed. Superior than other accom. nearby. Very quiet and good location close to shops, cafes and hotels for meals
