Coming from Zimbabwe we generally overnight in Polokwane en route to Johannesburg. We enjoy the facilities in Polokwane that provide for our agricultural requirements, since we are farmers, and the Mall provides for our shopping needs. However, there are no decent restaurants in Polokwane. Most are chain restaurants and the service is poor, menus are unchanged and the food isn't great. An unforgettable part of the trip was when one of my colleagues managed to pop the proposal during dinner at Oceans Basket. This has turned this journey into a lovely memory. Overall, it was a great place to be, and getting around on our intended path wasn't an issue.

I go to Polokwane regularly and this is the only place I will stay at. If they are fully booked, I will change my travel plans to stay there. I am always received warmly by the staff and nothing is too much trouble. I needed to have a meeting and they arranged a private lounge area for the meeting. Lovely décor and linen.
