Fairly nice hotel and location but NOT a 3star hotel as they claimed. Great breakfast efficiently run but no dinner options despite what was listed. definitely not three star staffing.

Location in a panoramic position 10 minutes' walk from Portoferraio center, Villa Ombrosa has a private beach you can use for free. The terrace offers great sea views.

Location is oceanfront and convenient. Restaurant options are just a short walk from the property and easy walk into the heart of Portoferraio. If you are coming by ferry from the mainland it is just a quick drive to the property. Our room was a small suite with a separate sitting area. We had a balcony in each room overlooking the ocean. Each balcony had a clothesline which was perfect since we needed to wash out some of our travel clothes. There is parking available at the property. Breakfast buffet offered pastries and cereals but you could order eggs and bacon if you wanted that. They did offer a dinner menu but we never ate there so I cannot comment on the quality. They have a lovely outdoor garden seating area. They had a bar in the lobby area.

On top of Portoferraio's coast, Hotel Acquamarina offers views of the Gulf of Padulella and direct access to the beach below.

The staff should be rated 10 stars. They are so accommodating, knowledgeable of the area and happy to take their time with each guest. They even helped make a dinner reservation last minute for us. The breakfast was great, very fresh, with several options. What’s not to love with a great breakfast overlooking the sea? The facility is superbly clean throughout the entire hotel, from the entrance and eating areas to the bedrooms. The showers offer a hot shower with great water pressure. The sea is a 2 minutes walk and they offer beach towels and chairs. Great restaurants are just a 10 minutes walk away. It was the perfect weekend get a way for my daughter and I !

great location close to the beach, big swimming pool, wonderful garden, very quiet, close to Portoferrario, only about 15 minutes by car, excellent food at the restaurant. The parking is shaded, very comfortable in the heat. The beach is small and consists of pebble stones, there are sufficient sun beds for everybody.
