This tiny hotel was amazing! Asyou look at the advertisement picture, the pool is as is. Surprise!Cooler than the ocean, lightly chlorinated, refreshing... Crystal clear. We booked two rooms. The price was so great. These were sparkling clean 🫧 Linen & pillows & they were soft, snuggly & smelling of heaven. So comfy, I wanted to stay in 🛏️. Great Wi-Fi, a desk next to the front windows with shutters that open to let the salty smelling air flow in. ⛵ Sea breeze from across the street made aircon unnecessary. A power outlet, close enough that my extension could reach to the patio in front of my front door. My laptop and phone were always charged. On the patio was a round wooden table/two wooden Captain chairs. Cozy!!! Here we played UNO in the evening by 🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️, having a couple of Bingtangs with homemade munchies from a market around the corner after dinner.
Did I tell you about the breakfast? 5 choices. One a traditional Indonesian breakfast. My one friend had banana pancakes and I had the egg toast sandwich that basically had everything on it like it was a burger.Delicious, wait staff super, timely & didn't keep coming back to bug us. Traditional Bali coffee w/ real milk. Later, I took a stroll across the street & beachcombed collecting seashells, 🪜 lifeguard platform & played my 🎸 while watching the shooting 🌠 For real!!!

The staff was so helpful and helped me to plan my transportation there and visiting a coffee plantation on the way! Then they organized my boat to Lombok and a Rinjani trek. I really appreciate the hospitality and help with all of my logistics. Also! My room was beautiful with a view of the ocean :)

The room was clean and comfortable, the room on the third floor has an amazing sunrise view, and you can have them bring your breakfast up to the balcony. The family was very nice and helpful!

We had never heard of PadangBai and only visited to catch the ferry to Nusa Lebongan. Pleasantly surprised to find this small town offering good restaurants, live music (Omani Omang), good diving (Absolute Dive), and pretty scenery.
The negative is the amount of plastic garbage in the sea and on the beaches. I don’t know if this is common to the region, but I strongly recommend the communities make a concerted effort to clean this up. The plastic garbage was appalling and detracted from the ambience.

The pier wasn't as bad as expected although the condition could be improved considering it's very busy and frequented by many tourists every day! Be careful if porter scam as someone will approach you asking to help and will charge you in the end for the service. If you need an assistance, do agree in advance on the fee.
Do note that a harbor tax is compulsory at IDR10,000 per person.

We stayed at Padangbai to catch the fast boat to Gili . We got up early as the drive in showed us a very pretty part of Bali we have never seen.
This is a very cute little fishing village and gateway to Lombok and all it's Islands. The locals are very friendly and honest. My husband left his mobile phone in the taxi and the hotel called the taxi driver who had it back in 5 minutes (he was thrilled at the 100,000 Rp roughly $10 AUD tip)
There was a good selection of restaurants on the waterfront offering lovely fresh Indonesian and Western food we loved the Ikan Bakkat (fish in banana leaves) spicy and delicious. The Cocktails did not disappoint either and my husband welcomed a few cleansing Bintang Beers.

There are afew nice places to eat along the front we stayed 1 afternoon and night before travelling to the gills and that’s enough nothing to see here really. Good food tho in both restaurants on the front we picked and there was also plenty of people selling snacks etc at the harbour. It is like most places in Bali, chaotic with traffic and the people especially the harbour.

There is a small port town which is ok. A few beaches nearby
are a bit surprising given that its a busy port.
I would never return to this port, as Sanur is more sane. You will
be in line and feel like a hearded animal before you even get onto
the boat, try to avoid this experience.
FastboatGili changed our reservation, said it was overbooked
even though had a deposit in advance. Morning of boat departure
the boat company tried to rip us off...just be clear on what you paid
and your balance, dont be intimidated. The boats from here are generally
overpriced but not much you can do about it.

The host was very helpful and accommodating.
The host was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is still under renovations and not completed yet so very much had a sense of unfinished hotel. The shower flooded and host arranged to have it repaired immediately which was appreciated. Breakfast was basic and the pool was small. There was a small water dispenser in the room that made a gouging noise and kept us awake. Meals were not available and we had to walk into main shopping area for meals and supplies. Overall ok for a one night stopover.
Like many others we stayed here for a night before going to Gili. It was comfortable and the staff made sure to prepare a crib (with mosquito net) for our toddler. Everything was clean and we felt very cozy under the mosquito net. Breakfast was nice.
We appreciate it hugely that we were able to leave our luggage during our stay in Gili (so we could travel light). When we got back in Padang Bai we realized Grab and Gojek don't work there so the hotel also arranged a comfortable taxi to our next destination.
Thank you!
Padangbai Beach Inn is the perfect place to stay before catching a ferry to the Gili Islands or Lombok. I highly recommend staying in an ocean front room where you can watch the fisherman come & go from your balcony. There are nice restaurants close by for dinner and breakfast at the hotel was everything you need - also looking out to the water & watching locals going about their daily life. The ferry terminal is about 300m away so it was an easy walk in the morning to catch the ferry.
A beautiful homestay in a traditional Balinese house with its own temple in a central location. The couple who run it are lovely. Wayan picked us up from Denpasar for a very reasonable rate and also organised our boat trip to Gili Air. We’re very grateful for that because the process of getting a fast boat can be confusing. He and his wife also gave us good recommendations for things to see and Warungs to eat at for our short stay. I’d stay there again next time I’m in Bali.
The grandma who runs this place is absolutely delightful and is always there to lend a helping hand. This place is like a true Balinese house, where large families live together, including sons, daughters, in-laws, and grandchildren. It's just a short 10-minute walk to Bias Tugel Beach and not too far from Padang Bai Harbor, making it a convenient location if you're planning a trip to Lombok.
Great location, close to the shops & beach but far enough away you can enjoy the surrounding nature in peace. Great views from the balcony! Staff were so friendly and helpful. They helped us organise a trip to the Gili islands and took us by moped to the port. They also gave us tips on our onward travel, which have been really helpful! Very kind people and the hotel has a very laidback vibe
A quaint friendly hotel. Yummy breakfast.Staff helped me to the harbour with my bags as I could not carry them due to accident. We checked I around 10 pm and Eka was there to meet us. A/C was good, shower was good, veiws of harbour, comfy bed and pillows. Happy to return next time. Thank you Harmony Guest House.
Amazing views over the sea and the landscape. staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast and Balinese coffee a perfect start to the day.
Special shout out to the yoga teacher who gave us a pretty intense yoga session (included in the hotel price) which was better than other (paid!) sessions I’ve had.
It’s a really beautiful and surprisingly cheap apartment. To me, Bali is all about this place - open layouts, rich wooden vibes, antique-style furniture, loads of natural light, and the peaceful jungle surroundings. Rooms are very specious. I loved the place.
Stuff was really helpful and friendly!
The rooms was incredibly clean and well kept. We stopped at Padang Bai for one night to catch a boat to Gili T island the next morning. The hotel was an ideal location. Staff are very friendly and my friends and I had a great massage at the resort! Highly recommend.
Beautiful villa in remote-ish location. Friendly, very accomodating hosts and friendly staff at the villa. We enjoyed walks along the beach and around the villages nearby, as well as the pool. Padangbai has a Western-style bakery and some very good Indonesian food.
The guest house was good for a budget hotel. Staff were helpful with getting us a better price for the fastboat to Gili and checked us in on the boat and took us to the wharf. We enjoyed our time at the beach that they suggested we go to.
Very friendly and helpful hosts - made me feel like a familiy member.
The house itself is a typical wonderful balinese family home. Great views from the top floor across Padangbai. A great breakfast and lots of good advice for my trip.
The staff were very kind and the breakfast included was good. The location was very nice; you feel like you are right in the middle of town. Access to the Blue lagoon and white sand beach from the hotel was great.
the staff was so nice, welcoming and helpful. They even arranged transportation of my heavy luggage to Padang bai for absolutely no cost. Breakfast was included which was great too! thank you so much.
well located close to the harbor. staff is ready to help you whatever you need. they brought us to town for very cheap. good value for what you pay. fast wifi, good AC and clean room
