Sukhothai old city is an absolute must for any traveler to the north of Thailand, Just as Chiang Mai is supposedly. We didn't have enough time. It is an archeological wonder, ancient and a great education on the beginnings of Siam. Stay 3 nights. First night eat in town. Day 1 Do the museum and main Wat in the old city, and then eat 2nd night outside with the locals at the sidewalk market. On a rattan mat. Wonderful experience. Day 2 Do the main archeological site. Its huge. Rent a bike or golf cart. DONT WALK. Stay out of the sun. Lots of shade, but not everywhere. There are 2 other sites adjacent for separate entry you can tack on if you are really gung ho. Night 3, eat in town again. Laundry, massages, food, is REALLY CHEAP. BUT, you need to take a bus or taxi to get there from New Sukhothai OR PHITSANULOK which is an hour away by car. Which you can get to by train, or plane. If you take the train, its slow, and if you are in 3rd or 2nd class there is NO AIRCONDITIONING AND THE WINDOW AND DOORS ARE OPEN. It could be a great experience, or very bothersome. And dusty and buggy. And noisy. Or take a bus. This is not liable to change anytime soon. Pace yourself, it gets hot as hades in Thailand.

The UNESCO world heritage site in a must see.
The UNESCO world heritage site in a must see. The old ruins are amazing, but for us what was the bonus was the large maintained trees around the park, and water features give an all round old historic, beautiful park atmosphere. There are numerous places to rent bicycles, for very economical rates. We were able to bike around very easily, nice paved roads, and once you are off the main road, traffic is light, so it makes riding around very nice. like a good ride in the country!

First of all, this is a paradise for history lovers and archaeologists. The public security of this small city is very good. In fact, it is not hot for a period of time in the early morning every day, but it is very suitable to cover the quilt.

Its an ancient city and I would highly recommend people to visit it. Most people don't travel to small cities in Thailand but this city has so much ancient history, its a must to understand Thailand and its culture. The king from here started the Thai script and pushed for the language to thrive. Its a must if you visit Thailand.

Sukhothai is a nice city nested in an enchanting greenery region. If you like nature, splendid trees, historical ruins, legends, people smiling, good food and a relaxing atmosphere... it is the right place
The owners are super helpful, flexible and friendly.
The hotel is just like in the pictures. Spacious rooms with clean bathrooms. The swimming pool is a bonus, it has its own shower and toilet, which is very handy with children.
Walking distance to restaurants and shops. However, 13k from old Sukotai so need to spend extra money to travel to the ruins. The hotel provides shuttle service, which we took and it also included transfer to bus station later on the day.
I would highly recommend this place!
The hotel is a number of villas and buildings with a number of rooms. We had a villa / half of a duplex in the garden, close to the reception and breakfast restaurant. The place was well equipped and quiet. The pool was some 100 m from the main building but it was nice and well maintained. Breakfast was good. The most important thing is the staff that was very nice, friendly, competent and helpful. They worked far beyond the standards to make guests happy with their stay.
What a wonderful place especially after loud and noisy Bangkok! It is like a nice resort in a village where you can take a break from the bustle of the city. We stayed for 2 nights on our trip from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and it was what we really needed.
Friendly staff.
Comfortable bed.
Excellent breakfast, especially for so small handmade hotel.
the location of this hotel 5 min bicycle ride to the historic park was superb. A very good restaurant with an air-conditioned area is right at the corner of the street less than 2 min walk away. pool was nice and clean. The owner and all staff were extremely nice and helpful. Room good size and bathroom good size as well.
Beautiful hotel, very well situated at almost 1.5km from the Historical Park, with a helpful and warm staff. Very calm and large room, a rich and tasty (local) buffet for breakfast. Possibility to make arrangements for a private driver to visit the nearby Si Satchanalai ruins (1 hour, 2800 bahts back & forth).
Such a quiet and tranquil hotel. One of the nicest stays I've had on my travels. Had a room with a window overlooking the pool and scenery. Limits on noise in the evening, can hear the surrounding wildlife. It's really a perfect fit for Sukhothai and a great place for couples or single travelers to get away.
there is parking available, hotel is very pleasant and has nice design, room was very spacious, large bed, both bath and shower, great swimming pool, there were some nice snacks i the room for us, lots of options for breakfast, staff was very helpful and helped me with some arrangements with other hotels.
We only had an over night stay but the resort was just beautiful and I wish we had more time here. The room was nice but the hotel surroundings were stunning. The pool was huge and luxurious. The restaurant served a great selection of Thai and western food and it was lovely for both breakfast and dinner.
The overall place was great and well maintained. The room was modern, spacious and clean. The Sukhothai Historical Park is just a few minutes journey by taxi or tuk tuk. The staff was very friendly, and the managers, a young couple, were very helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed.
Warmly welcomed and ideally located in a very quiet street in Sukhothai's old town. The hotel is made up of several buildings, including the reception and three upstairs rooms in a traditional Thai teak house. It's a wonderful experience to be able to stay here.
We stayed here one night when traveling from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and visiting Sukhothai historic park. It's a very nice accomodation, value for money. Swimming pool is big and great for the kids as well as adults. There is also a beautiful terrace
rooms quiet and with interesting design. good location for the historic park & the amenities of the newer town. food in restaurant was amazing but breakfast was so so - cold eggs in the buffet. bed large & comfortable. owners very sweet
We booked this hotel last minute and they had a room ready for us upon our arrival! The hotel has a very beautiful common area, with lots of plants and flowers. The breakfast was good and the room was comfortable.
The hotel is incredibly beautiful and the staff very attentive. In particular, I loved the architecture, the swimming pool and the food in the restaurant which was excellent. It's really 11/10 :)
The ambience of the hotel was quite pleasing, and its location was ideal. The bedrooms, housed in lovely typical structures, added to the charm, and the breakfast was splendid
