This is a rough town, isolated from the rest of Cambodia by a long potholed road. The supply chain to Thailand is short and then the better infrastructure is available. There are good hotels and some excellent restaurants, which you must pay for. It was the rainy season the streets were we and muddy, the dogs are mouthy and the street lights exist but are unlit. Its four hours of hell to State highway 3. Dont believe google maps a road on the map is reportedly a red laterite mud slide for the whole journey. Take highwy 48 only.

Hotel sprays for bugs in the elevator when you get in the elevator you have to cover your nose it's maybe the hotel could spray for bugs like 3:00 in the morning when there's not so many people out and about poisonous smell

We visited with a rented motorbike ( very old motorbikes proposed in the streets near the hotel ) the mangrove forest, the Tatai waterfall, the buddhist temple : it's not well organised for tourists, it gives the feeling you are not so welcomed. The beach is of course beautiful, with clear water. For diner the restaurants near the river are nice.

We were only staying for one night before a ferry to Koh Rong Sanloem the next day, and it was very fit for this purpose. The ocean comes right up to the front of hut when the tide is in which was cool! The plug in fairy lights in the room were a lovely touch. The staff can also help you arrange trips to nearby islands and trekking routes, which seems very helpful!
