The restaurant was not open for dinner.
A car would be essential for elderly people.
The smell in the room we were first assigned was intolerable.
The junior staff were kind like most people in Sicily.
The Manager was unconcerned about us. He made concessions only under pressure.
We left as early as possible after 1 night and were refused any refund for the remaining 2 nights.
The beach was superb.

Menfi is a well positioned small town about 60 Km southwest of Palermo. Perfectly positioned to explore the coastal stretch from Trapani to Agrigento... beautiful beaches, historic sides, wine estates and ancient ruins...

We travelled in April.
We travelled in April. Weather was good on paper (sunny - 23 degrees, although a little windy). However, there weren't many restaurants / shops open in Menfi. A few bars and nice places to eat were open, but we stayed somewhere without a restaurant or cooking facilities so it became tricky to eat out in the evenings and the town felt a little dead at times. Menfi is a great place to access some beautiful beaches (beware, not much was open on the beaches in April) as well as Selinunte. also within easy reach of Sciacca (which had much more of a vibe at this time of year, being a larger town, and more history etc) and we enjoyed the hot springs Terme Acqua Pia, about a 20 min drive away. We liked Menfi and reckon it would be a great place to be based during the summer months (you do need a car though, not sure what transport would be like in the summer but we'd have been stuck without one) but at this time of year I would probably go somewhere a little bigger/busier if/when we go again. It was absolutely lovely though, and if you're looking for somewhere super chilled it would be perfect, especially if you had cooking facilities. But we'd love to return in June / July!

Small local town, busy in the evening in the Centre with local people on the streets. The roads, buildings and entourage made it look like a ghost town from time to time.
Restaurants were only fee, full of local people with a que of almost one hour, so we were forced to eat at easy pizza restaurants

Menfi center was a bit of a ghosttown to us. A lot of abandoned houses, nobody on the streets and not at all accomodated for tourism.
The beaches/coast was nice, very few tourists and good restaurants.

Menfi town is like most places we found in Sciliy in that it was very hard to get around in as there are very little or no signs, Sciliy is also badly in need of a giant cleanup as rubbish is dumped everywhere and it spoils a
very pretty country.
The staff was extremely helpful. It seemed to be a resort for families & the staff for entertaining the children was excellent keeping the children engaged & entertained at all age levels. The parents seemed comfortable & the nightly entertainment was fabulous. They even encouraged my husband to do Karaoke in English & his limited Italian. The staffed seemed comfortable speaking English with us as we spoke our limited Italian. The facilities were excellent & clean with many options for activities.
Villa Giadel is a small hotel run by a lovely family, a bit off the Menfi/Porto Palo beach crowd but still couple of minutes away with the car. The hotel is brand new, very clean and nicely decorated. Our room was very spacious with a huge terrace! We are a couple with a 3 yo son and felt really comfortable in our room.
Staff couldn’t be more friendly. Always smiley and helpful. We would definitely come back here if we visit Menfi another time.
Fabulous! Mariaoliva and her mother also Mariaoliva, were delightful and very generous with their home grown produce. Nothing was too much trouble. The property is very well equipped, relaxing, comfortable, and convenient. Selinunte (well worth a visit) is a short drive away, as are beaches and the local town for supermarkets and an excellent ice cream shop on the main street of Menfi! No hesitation in recommending. We stayed an extra night.
The Restaurant and Food experience was the best I've ever enjoyed. We ate both lunch and dinner and did a customized wine tasting as well and then breakfast the next day. Can-not say enough about the restaurant staff and chef's. The room interiors, all the inside spaces were great. The views, the setting in the vineyard, the gardens were very nice. The beach club, while not visited is a big plus.
The setting of the hotel is rather magnificent, tucked away on a hill with a view of the estate vineyards right below the dining room and terrace. We opted for a twin room which was generously spaced, with two very comfortable queen beds and a terrace that led directly to the herb garden. Food and wine was on the pricier side, as you might expect, but absolutely delicious.
Torre Bonera Resort is a beautiful hotel situated in the heart of Menfi’s countryside overlooking Porto Palo. If you’re looking for a tranquil oasis away from life’s chaos, this is your place to visit. Special thanks to their lovely staff, especially Linda and Valentina, for making our stay extra special. I cannot wait to revisit this sweet slice of heaven, again!
Photos did not do this hotel justice! We had a very wonderful stay; arriving through the vineyards the hotel is beautifully decorated. The rooms, pool, people, and restaurant were all excellent. We’d stay again without any hesitation!
We stayed to visit some wineries, Planeta & Mandarossa are close by and relaxed by the pool afterwards!
Enrico was a great host and pointed us at some interesting attractions in the area. The accommodation was in a very rural spot with easy access to an almost deserted, safe swimming beach (350m away) with its own private grove of shady pines. Good restaurants and a decent shop were within easy reach by car around Menfi.
We liked everything about this excellent boutique hotel starting from the fantastic place in the country side between vineyards, olive tree fields, exceptional vine and restaurant and very personalised service. We felt like we were a part of a family. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely visit again.
Very charming hotel on the top of a hill with amazing sea view and beautiful pool. The breakfast was delicious with home made cakes and bread. Hotel staff was very friendly and attentive and we got a free upgrade of our room. 4 lovely days spent in beautiful Sicily - we will be back for sure!
We left the resort early so we couldn´t enjoy the whole breakfast but the staff made us a take-away breakfast and it was a super lovely surprise. We enjoyed the beautiful pool area and the view to the sea. The room and shared areas were clean and stylish. Local wine was excellent!
It's a very new hotel situated in an ancient building, completly rinnovated with attention to it's historical context and authentic materials. Our room was very spacious and quiet, as all the other rooms I had a chance to see. The host was very nice and helpful!
The staff were charming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the hotel is close to an excellent beach in a quiet pretty undeveloped area. The breakfasts (included in our price) were good. We would happily stay there again
The staff onsite prepared a delicious, multi-course dinner of regional Sicilian cuisine that was the single best meal we had in two weeks traveling around Sicily. quiet location, lovely gardens and large pool.
the staff is so lovely - this was my second time staying there. it is quiet and small and is a great place for day trips up and down the coast. the beaches are also beautiful and not crowded.
