Corfu Town is a joy to visit, with its worn, cobbled stone streets and Venetian architecture. I particularly enjoy meandering through there in the winter time, so much quieter and very atmospheric. Easter in Corfu is incredible! Lots of processions with brass bands, pot smashing, and lamb to be eaten. It’s unique.

The old town is walkable.
The old town is walkable. The town is very interesting, where history meets stunning views of the Mediterranean. Tons of restaurants and cafés. Don't miss Antranik for tasty food and beautiful views of the sea. Also try Averto Taverna (run by a family) in the old market. Unbelievably tasty meals from Corfu cuisine. For a drink in classy ambience, try Grey Goose. Visit Achillion palace (30 minutes by bus no. 10) walk along the "Cornich" (the water front boulevard) from the Windmill to the Corfu Port (60 minutes). Go to Kanoni's cafes (70 meters from the airport) to spot landing planes.

Corfu Town is a wonderful place!
Corfu Town is a wonderful place! I stayed there for 3 nights, and I have to say I could have easily stayed longer. For first time travelers, the blue buses link the airport to the city centre for a very low bus ticket price, but even a taxi won’t be more than 15€. The old town is so vibrant, full of little shops and restaurants, you will have a hard time choosing as they’re all amazing! The people we came across were all extremely friendly and helpful. The beaches around corfu town are mostly without sand but they have amenities and bars around. You will be able to find both free areas to swim in the sea and some where you can pay to get a sun bed and an umbrella. Overall amazing place, I can’t wait to go again! For food I would recommend Marisa’s Taverna, with generous portions and amazing traditional food. For meat I would recommend Pane e Souvlaki, with an amazing selection of grilled meats, all amazing! For a cheaper lunch souvlaki place I would recommend Pitta tou pappou. But really every restaurant offers amazing food so explore the little streets and get lost in this wonderful city. I would recommend a visit to Vido island, just a 10 minutes boat ride from the Port, where you can find secluded beaches on the part of the island further back from where you arrive by boat. I would recommend also visiting the Old Fortress, where you can do a small easy hike to the top and have a lovely view of the city, and if you have time pay a visit also at the New Fortress and the lovely area around it.

It is a beautiful vibrant town that you can not tire of.
It is a beautiful vibrant town that you can not tire of. Filled with bars, restaurants, boutiques, shops, ice cream parlours, bakeries and much more. The food in all restaurants is of a high standard and the locals are lovely relaxed people. The distant to airport is just 10-15 minutes and there are places to enter the sea for a cool down after walking the streets. Fantastic place. This was our 3 rd visit but first time staying in the heart of the town and it was amazing.

Corfu Town is definitely worth a visit and is especially...
Corfu Town is definitely worth a visit and is especially charming in the night, when there are less tourists and you can mingle in the cocktail bars with the locals. The streets are lovely, full of cafés and restaurants, very romantic for couples! The rest of the island is lovely to visit, above all Paleokastritsa (very touristy but definitely worth a visit!) and the North East and West. I recommend to rent a boat and explore by yourself the quite beaches and the amazing waters. The food is really authentic, healthy, tasty and cooked and served by locals. One of the things I appreciate the most is that one has real contact with the services providers (accomodation, shops, food...) and that is part of the travelling experience: to get to know the culture, the roots, the traditions. I would say that in times when travelling is being more and more infused with mass tourism and average quality services, Corfu is still amazingly well preserved and super authentic :-) I love this island, which I visit for many years now and that I can call a second home.
The apartment's location was absolutely perfect! It was right at the centre of Corfu Town with all the shops, cafés and restaurants available, but it was also not directly on the main street with great insulation with the balcony window so we would not be disturbed by the noise.
Despite never meeting the host, he was very responsive to my messages through Booking.com advising restaurants, cafés, bars and anything I needed.
It's also walking distance (15-20min) to the main Bus Station to travel around the Island.
The view of the best! And it’s what you’re paying the high price for. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the three balconies! The location, only a short walk from the old centre, is also great. The apartment was very clean and the main bed is comfortable. The owners are lovely, including their son Nikolas who met us and translated for us. The owners left us some small snacks and a little decanter of ouzo - how wonderful! It was also very quiet when the balcony doors are closed and air con worked well.
We liked the fact that it is adults only and far enough from the busy old town to be quiet but also accessible to old town by foot and bus 2A. The breakfast buffet was extremely varied and could be eaten on the patio or indoors. Dinner options included a fixed price buffet for €20 or a la carte. We enjoyed both. The evening live music was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Eventhough the hotel is very close to the airport, we didn’t notice any airplane noise. The taxi cost €20 .
•great location with private beach, beautiful pine trees, close to Corfu airport, amazing views of incoming and outgoing planes for plane devotees
• good outdoor swimming pool (healthy salt treatment)
•comfortable bed but must get sea facing rooms - see below
•good choice of food buffet style despite the need for mass catering
• friendly staff
. just outside hotel entrance, a very good public and cheap buse service takes you into and back from the centre of beautiful Corfu Town
Amazingly welcoming guests, who also sent us the best spots/beaches to visit and checked via WhatsApp daily to make sure everything is up to our liking.
The location was great, 1 minute to market/cafe few minutes of walking to the centre, 15 minutes from beach and airport.
Apartment was clean, had terrace with nature view, comfy beds with AC, nice living room with smart tv.
Quiet place (no noise from outside), cute cats walking around.
Thanks for the great stay!
Location, Location, Location overlooking the Arcades - the best place to be in Corfu Town for restaurants, nightlife and sightseeing. And fabulous communication with very efficient and friendly hosts/managers. Cold water in the fridge and coffee pods for use. Very helpful tourist information in the property and we enjoyed the restaurant recommendations very much. Also, kind to let us leave our luggage whilst we went sight seeing after we checked out. Highly recommend.
The hotel was close to the city centre but also not too far to reach to the airport. We had just 1 day in Corfu town with a very early flight the next day in the morning, so this hotel was the perfect choice for us. Also was the cheapest we could find in high season. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and we even checked in 4 hours earlier. Next morning they called us a taxi very promptly. The room was clean, beds were comfy.
We just did bed and breakfast but the breakfast had a lot of choice. The hotel was beautiful and the view was incredible. Close enough to the town centre. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. The receptionists couldn’t help us enough and always friendly and the lady at the pool bar was amazing, her speciality cocktail was 10/10! Would definitely stay here again. Plane noises you definitely get used to and will miss it
You get your own small house and small garden, very well shaded by vegetation with a terrace where you will enjoy both your meals and drinks. The interior is very nice with relaxing, discrete colors and good taste decorations. The beaches on the south-west were the best for little children: sand, shallow and very clean (apox 1 km south of the location, the closest one had some seaweed).
Very clean room, comfortable bed, quiet, amazing swimming pool and tasty breakfast with different variety of choices including fresh orange juice and another healthy options, spa & sauna, friendly and helpful staff. Adults only is perfect option which guarantee well rest. I saw a lot of 5 stars hotels which does not look as good as Corfu Mare. Well done!
The location, pool areas, food was good. Sun beds were super comfortable. New furniture throughout the hotel was tasteful and good design. Views beautiful. Gardens pretty. Nice walk along the beach. Bus into Corfu town which was easy to navigate at the end of the Hotel driveway. The hotel felt very safe.
Really beautiful apartment in the best location, very close to the center of Corfu Town. Very clean. With beautiful rooms that offer all comforts, nice balcony, filtered drinking water from the tap. Best conditions for a nice vacation does not exist. Thank you very much for everything!!!
Fantastic hotel with the best towels. The room was perfect with a balcony and the view was amazing. Nice bathroom with toiletries. The staff were very helpful. Fabulous breakfast choices. The WiFi was the best I have encountered on this trip. Great location on the edge of the old town.
Lovely hotel with pool, restaurant and bar. Good buffet breakfast included with the price of staff. There is also a bus route that operates from nearby the hotel into Corfu Town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful which was a big bonus!
Great boutique hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful rooms and lovely location, right near the sea, great breakfast and just a short walk to the centre of town. Highly recommend!
The location was perfect—very central to the most popular areas of Corfu town. Very quiet at night. Decent facilities for light cooking, a nice welcome basket of goodies, washer/dryer.
A great boutique hotel in a good location. Designed with a lot of care and thoughtful interior design details. Wonderful breakfast and very good staff. Highly recommend.
