A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.
The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.
Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.
For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.
Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

Edinburgh is in a stunning location, built around an extinct volcano. The castle is in a commanding position on high from the city, the main shopping is situated along Princes Street facing the castle and grounds below, and there are many hill walks for views that can be undertaken, including Calton Hill and Arthur's Seat. A delightful array of Edwardian/ Georgian architecture is all around.

Edinburgh is lovely, so much to do!
Edinburgh is lovely, so much to do! But make sure you take day trips throughout the country, I went to the highlands. There was a day trip that started out in Edinburgh and it was worth it. I liked old town and went there for a walk every morning. I also climbed Arthur's seat, I went early in the morning, which was a good choice because on my way down it got very busy with people walking up.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city, so many things to see and do.
Edinburgh is a beautiful city, so many things to see and do. We could not see everything we wanted to see and could have stayed longer. We visited Edinburgh Castle, Calton Hill, National Gallery, Scottish Museum, Old town, New Town, Deans Village. Amazing independent shops all over the city, lovely coffees from Milkman and the Pantry. Edinburgh has amazing public transport system however it was very easy to walk around.

Lots of things to do in Edinburgh.
Lots of things to do in Edinburgh. Can be pricey to drink but most cities are. Food can be found for as cheap or as expensive as you need it to be as plenty of fast food options and lots of high end restaurants to choose from.
There are many places of interest to visit from museums, gardens / parks and entertainment venues such as the playhouse and cinemas.

Edinburgh is a sophisticated European city with lots to explore if you have time which on this occasion I didn't.
But as a regular visitor It's galleries restaurants and history are second to none. And it has the benefit of being a very walkable city.
Modern new hotel in central location one block off the Royal Mile. Easy walk to restaurants, bars and sights. Room was large and quiet with comfortable bed and had all of the amenities, including upscale shower, robes/slippers, unreal mini-bar, well placed outlets/charging ports. Hotel has two eating options onsite as well coffee bar in the library. Staff were helpful with all requests and questions. Loved our stay and definitely will be back next time we're in Edinburgh.
The location was a bit of a distance from the city centre but easily walkable and there were plenty of buses from just round the corner. The room was perfectly adequate with everything I needed. It was lovely having a breakfast delivered to my room every day and there was a big selection to choose from. The price was excellent compared to other hotels/guest houses in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend.
The location in New Town by St. Andrews Square was amazing!!! We were right by a bunch of great restaurants and a Sainaburys Local. All the hop -on -hop off buses start there so that was very convenient. It was also a fairly quick walk to old town / Edinburgh Castle. The vibe of the room and the windows were great! We pretty much had everything we needed.
Ten Hill Place was a convenient and comfortable location from which to explore Old Town Edinburgh. It is close to Waverly Station, the Royal Mile and our favorite for this trip, the National Museum of Scotland. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, and the hotel restaurant provided excellent breakfasts.
3rd stay here and this time we were given a room facing main road it was quite noisy due to constant traffic....that is our only down side, we will definitely be going back but will ask for a quieter room .... definitely recommend this hotel...only 15 minutes on bus to Edinburgh City centre...
A short brisk walk from Edinburgh Waverley. The rooms are very clean, modern and nice. The gym is about as functional as a city centre hotel would expect (cables, free weights, bench, running machines, towels, water, eliptical). Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Good WiFi for meetings.
all staff were super friendly & welcoming. Food in the restaurant was lovely! Not too far from city centre around 30 mins on bus.
Swimming pool was a bonus as well as all the other facilities! Would definitely book here when visiting edinburgh again. Not disappointed about the hotel at all!
Staff were friendly and helpful, room was spacious, comfy, and well equipped, hotel very close to Holyrood Park and the city centre (with rental bikes available too, very convenient). Would recommend for a stay in Edinburgh! P.s. best haggis we've ever had, for breakfast.
Very nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood .A spacious, beautiful room and very clean. It is 10 minute walk from the new town and 15-20 minutes from the old town. Also very close to Dean's village and a beautiful walk along the river Leith
Didn’t have breakfast . Visited family for breakfast . Staff lovely and very helpful. location was great bus service outside hotel ideal for going into city centre of Edinburgh. Plenty little shops restaurants .
I’ve used this hotel so many times of the past 3 years for work, and also with family. It’s not far from Edinburgh City Centre and having the use of the Swimming Pool/Gym is a nice extra.
Lovely boutique hotel. Friendly Concierge. Gorgeous walk into the New and Old Town area. Had some sights to see as well close by to the hotel, like the Botanical Gardens and Dean Village.
The room was absolutely amazing. Perfect for a stay in Edinburgh. It was a beautiful hotel in a great location. Quiet but close for walks and to the city centre.
I liked that the hotel was close to Edinburgh city centre. You can easily get the bus or tram and if you really feel like, you can walk into city centre.
