Five nights and fout full days with a good range of quality places to visit and small but varied restaurants.
Good beaches and well maintained eco system.
A must for a break where in our case we were travelling down the east coast from Georgia to Florida.

Jekyll is one of the few quiet beaches left and it is a special place. You will see deer grazing, secluded beach spots at the south end of the island, driftwood beach is a must see and some great dining options. The Jekyll Island Club is also a must-see property and you could spend a day just in that area with all there is to offer. Be sure to bring a bike if you ride, the trails are great. Most recommended beach!

The various beach options gave us different sunrises and sunsets each night! A very short walk to the ocean beachfront from the hotel. The turtle hospital was very unique. The eagle walk was awesome too. And Driftwood Beach is entirely different than any other beach I've travelled to. It was beautiful, peaceful, and yet sort of spooky. We will be back with our bikes the next visit!

WARNING: If you have car trouble (hit a curb damaged two tires and then some), as we did, just know that it is not easy to get an Uber or any other car service in town, as there is a $10 fee to enter the island, which we didn't know about until we drove in, and some car service drivers are not willing to pay the fee to pick you up. Some may even ask you to cover that fee or add it to their tip. It is not impossible to get a car service, but it is not as easy as you may be accustomed to from a major city and you may have to wait, so especially if you are there over the weekend, as we were, be sure to make arrangements as soon as possible, as many car shops in the area might be closed on Sundays. We ended up having to extend our stay in nearby Brunswick at the Embassy Suites until we could get our car situation sorted out, which was another awesome hotel to stay in anyway, so overall, it could have been much worse.
Jekyll Island is a great place to visit. It is a beautiful island for a relaxing weekend. Be sure to visit Driftwood Beach; it is stunning. Also visit the Jekyll Island Club Resort and the Westin while you're there, unless you're already staying at either location, of course. Plan to have a meal at the Jekyll Island Club Resort Restaurant, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion. We hope you can share our optimistic spirit and despite any adversity you may encounter, as we did during this trip, you can be grateful it wasn't worse and continue on your merry way... ;0P

We were interested in the history of the island and found the trolley tour to be very informative. As we were there in the fall the island was not full of visitors and the weather was perfect! No trouble easily navigating the island and lovely walks on the beach! Dinner at the Driftwood Bistro was convenient and moderately priced. The stuffed collard greens were delicious.

As a long time visitor, I can tell you that Jekyll Island is still a beautiful place to go to if you want to relax and get away but it’s now in danger of becoming another over-developed tourist destination. The Jekyll Island Authority needs to impose a moratorium on new development before the place becomes just another overcrowded island. Once Jekyll Island loses its charm, it’s gone.
Room was somewhat clean. No toilet paper was in room making me immediately go to front desk where they instantly got into defense mode about supply chain shortages. I was given one roll and 2 boxes of tissues. I paid $500 more for this property than I did the Westin across the street. Service was lacking at Home 2. I left 2 messages for the manager and have yet to hear back. Shower had the water pressure of my kids spitting.. not good.. very disappointing for my first vacation in 2 years.
Our room was located right next to the pool area and fire pit. (Perfect location!) The property has beautiful landscaping and direct access to the beach. (Just a few hundred feet away) The trees are absolutely gorgeous and frame the beach view from the pool/guest rooms. We also appreciated that the hotel partnered with the Holiday Inn and Beach House Restaurant to ensure that we had ample opportunity to eat and have access to more amenities.
Loved this hotel. Claire at reception was a delight and sorted all our needs. We rented bikes for a day and she prepared all the paperwork efficiently.
The beach is beautiful and just a short walk from the hotel across a grassy area. The pool was also very nice situated surrounded by greenery. Also great music always playing in the public areas. Loved it so much we extended our stay.
The breakfast was ok - as best as it can be with this pandemic.
The location is excellent.
The size of the room was awful - I've never stayed in such a small room - considered changing hotels seriously because it was so small.
We had several spiders - ugh.
Cleanliness was pretty good.
This hotel has a lot of things going for it but the room being so small made it miserable.
I brought my service dog very pet friendly.
My dog is trained to find stuff and immediacy found a fake mouse under bed. Must of been a cat toy but I wonder if they really clean under the bed when people leave. I showed it to the Manager he never asked my name room or number. Just dismissed me as “it is not real”. odd right? Like he thought I had planted it in the room.
The overall hotel location was great! My family and I enjoyed the town and nearby shops. Most places were of walkable distance or a very short car ride (5-10 min.). The hotel breakfast was nice. You offered plenty of choices. My husband and I enjoyed the waffles and breakfast sandwiches. My son enjoyed the muffins. I think he ate 6 total while we were there.
We upgraded to a suite, so we could have a room with beachview and have a private balcony. The hotel is very close to the beach and has two pools and hot tubs. The breakfast was good with quite a bit of variety. The beds were comfortable. Everything was as we had expected or even better!
The location was very good and close to all that Jekyll Island has to offer. The island is pretty self-contained. The room (119) was spacious and the bed although very low to the floor slept well. The window blinds were a nice touch. They were modern and installed correctly.
The location is fantastic with the Park and the Warf restaurant in front of the hotel. Nice pool, Bike shop close to hotel. The Pantry is good for small snack. Bar well managed.
