Normally a big fan of Charlotte and this recent visit was after several years of not being there. Things have changed. On this trip, I did not feel as safe. There were homeless folks everywhere. Active police presence but busy dealing with situations. Not the Charlotte I remember from previous visits.

I arrived here at midnight, at a big modern airport.
I arrived here at midnight, at a big modern airport. I saw bus system in action. Rode to the hub on #5 then waited for #16 to south Tryon to get to laQuinta. No traffic late at nite, unlike Manhattan (,my town). Downtown looks thriving, lots hotels restaurants and activities. Good sports town I think. The working people at midnight were friendly and helped me reach my destination.
Hotel staff also warm and respectful. Not sure I will ever return but loved that Charlotte airport. Bus system here is excellent even at midnight.

Eating areas are needed.
Eating areas are needed. Hotels menu's are limited, so you go outside seeking other options. We found a burger king in the bus station, seemed like an unlikely location for any food service, yikes.
The people are super nice and the city was very clean. I commend the city's efforts there.
Access in and out of town was easy too.
Thanks Charlotte for a lovely NCAA experience.
If you want team gear, bring it, no one sells it on site.
If you want a NCAA shirt of some sort, wait in line 30-40 minutes at the top of the escalator in the main entrance and still not get a common size large, isn't fun for the experience.

Charlotte has a lot to do and some really nice areas, but you need to be careful because there are a lot of rough and scary areas, Example, we went into a gas station to purchase a phone charger and the employees were wearing glocks with magazines, We were terrified.

LIVED IN CHARLOTTE 12 YEARS AGO.
LIVED IN CHARLOTTE 12 YEARS AGO. IT HAS COME UP IN THE WORLD. NIGHT LIFE WAS GOOD. VALET PARKING IS A DEFINATE PLUS. WILL COME BACK . TRAFFIC HAS CHANGED SINCE I LEFT.
McCORMICK AND SMICK IS A PLUS. FAMILY GREEK RESTAURANTS ARE FUN IF YOU LET THEM BE. ALWAYS LOVED THEM IN CHARLOTTE. BUGS ME THAT NASCAR MUSEUM IS NOT IN THE TOURIST SPOTS HI-LIGHTED. CHARLOTTE HAS ALWAYS BEEN ATUNED TO RACING. MAY HAVE TOO MANY YANKEES TO KEEP UP NOW.
A very clean and tidy hotel that is apparently under new management. Don't be put-off by the (comparably) cheap price. It is a genuine bargain because, I suspect, the new owners are trying to build up a loyal customer base. The manager Cynthia went out of her way several times to personally address any concerns (the TV didn't work in one room and, quick as a flash, she assigned me a new room, no hassles at all).
I liked that the property have Kitchenettes in the room with a microwave .. that’s a plus when traveling with children And a hot Buffay style breakfast not a breakfast bag . The location was great not far from uptown Charlotte NC and convenient to stores and some restaurants and very convenient and extremely close to Charlotte Douglas Airport 👍 and yeah not far from Carowins amusement park .
I've to say that after reading some reviews, I was little afraid of staying at this hotel and was about to cancel. Thank God it was pre-paid lol.
My experience was good. The room was clean, lobby modern and cozzy decoration, surroundings is not the best. However, you can get to the Uptown and nice places within 15 min driving. Staff kind and willing to help.
The location was awesome I was going to a sporting event that night so it was a short distance from the stadium . Downtown Charlotte is amazing as well there’s plenty to do food or nightlife it’s all enjoyable. The decor of the hotel was incredible my wife loved the room especially the standalone bath. I would recommend the 600 Sq.foot room corner city view.
Location was farther than we anticipated. Breakfast was too late, we had to leave for airport by 7am. There is absolutely nothing nearby and our dinner delivery the night before, recommend by front desk, took 1 hr and 40 mins to be delivered. Our coffee maker did not work. I would not recommend this hotel.
The lady at the check-in desk was very patient and helpful. There were multiple guests arriving when we got there and although the check-in process took time, the staff was professional, polite, and flexible. The hotel is of great value, very close to CLT airport, with good wifi connection in the rooms.
Great spot if you’re needing to go to the PNC pavilion. Charlotte doesn’t have much public transport so Uber is the best way I got around and it was super easy going to this hotel, with freeways close by. Staff are super lovely and my room was massive and clean. The bed was really comfy!
Whole hotel was spotless and reception staff were helpful and friendly. We requested to change rooms from two kings to 1 king and 1 two bed queen without any issues. Room was large and clean. Food was good. Booked again for our next transit through Charlotte.
The room was awesome, big and with beautiful views. The hotel had many facilities including a pool and a gym, as well as a nice restaurant. The free shuttle to the airport is very convenient. Also has a beautiful hiking trail just in front of the hotel.
super chic room and decor. probably one of the best layouts for us. clean clean clean!! Bed super comfortable and clean. location was easy from hwy, easy access to downtown and airport. great hot breakfast. clean pool. really impressed!
I thought that for a Radisson hotel, it was really unattractive, but everything was fine. I would return the next time I have to stay over at the Charlotte Airport. The restaurant was limited but actually everything tasted good.
The location was ideal, it was near to the airport, just a short five minute drive using the free airport shuttle. Also the room was very well laid out, organised and fully furnished. Very clean and comfortable.
This hotel is a 5 minute walk to a train stop. Then it's a 30 minute train ride to downtown(uptown?) Charlotte. So convenient. If you don't want to drive in and pay for parking, you won't do better.
The hotel gave and option for a free shuttle service to the airport which we didn’t need to use but I thought it was still a great service. Breakfast was good. Beds comfortable. Room clean.
I enjoyed the location of this hotel. Was within walking distance of a top shot golf and 10 minutes from downtown Charlotte. Staff was friendly and the room was clean
