Israel’s tiny speck of Red Sea is squeezed between Eqypt (Taba) on one side and Jordan (Aqaba) on the other side. Eilat is a resort city for glamorous people lying on the beach and scuba divers under the sea who come together for superb sunsets and long, warm summer nights.
Many tourists use this 7 km stretch of land as a passage to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt or onwards to Petra in Jordan. However, if you stay, this glitzy destination provides relaxation all year round at its numerous luxury hotels and beaches. Coral Beach is the dive centre headquarters with its spectacular coral reefs.

The sparkling Gulf of Aqaba provides the perfect backdrop for local Israelis and international tourists to party into the wee hours. Festivals such as Red Sea Jazz and Red City during summer help to fuel the busy beach activities.

Eilat is an amazing place to be in, there is always...
Eilat is an amazing place to be in, there is always something to do, there are tourists visiting from all around the world all the time and the weather is sunny and breeze.
My advice to anyone visiting Eilat is not to spend all the time in the city but to book a trip to the nearby Timna National Park which aside of being a Geological Gem, houses the biblical Mines of King Solomon.
another great place to visit is Kibbutz Yotvata's Rehabilitation Safari where the National parks authority rehabilitates different endangered species native to Historical/Biblical Israel and re-interduces them back to the wild.
aside of that there's Kibbutz Neot Smadar which is home to one of Israel's largest Artist communities and of course, for Adrenaline junkies you can take a buggy/RZAR ride through the desert with a guide, or just go paragliding out in the sea
the choices never end in Eilat, and if there's one thing certain, is that you will want to come back again.

Very nice beach promenade, good for strolling around after dinner. Plenty of very nice hotels and restaurants around. There are a lot of trees and flowers in the city, one of these is the terminal park which is very close to the mall. The underwater observatory is a must-visit. We were blown away by it. You can see the mountains of four different countries from its rooftop. Spending a whole day there is recommended. The botanical garden is also pretty good, can be covered in an hour and a half with lots of nice photo opportunities. There are snorkeling etc. water activities, and a bird-watching park as well, but we did not get to visit those due to time constraints.

Eilat is growing exponentially.
Eilat is growing exponentially. It is located by the Red Sea, with Petra and the Jordan mountains next door. The mountains go from beige to purple and pink at sunset, a stunning view. The sea is warm and full of fish. People like the water sports there, though I like to lie by the pool. The weather is warm most of the year.

Tacky place, full of shops and attractions in bad taste.
Tacky place, full of shops and attractions in bad taste. Despite no VAT prices are high and the assortment in the shops is provincial. For decent beaches go South of Coral Beach or preferably to Taba Heights in Egypt.

Fun fun fun!
Fun fun fun!
Israel's Las Vegas, without the gambling, but with coral reefs.
Something for the whole family.
The weather is (almost) always great (except in the heat of summer). Otherwise go indoors or into the water.
The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent with a great choice. Location was literally 2 minutes from Eilat bus station. We have no transport so for us as pensioners the choice was excellent. The pool although not huge was big enough to enjoy and very welcome to cope with the heat. All in all nothing but praise for this very lovely boutique hotel. Would have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends
Shoshie.
I arrived at about 5am in the morning and the front desk agent gave me a breakfast voucher which I really appreciate. I really like the location of this hotel at the center of Eilat and where my tour was going to pick up the group. I appreciated the mini fridge, microwave and sink with dish soap and utensils. They also provided shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. My room had a small dining table with 4 chairs, a sofa and a huge balcony. The bed and linens are fine.
Our Stay was great.
The studio is quite big and modern, they had water bottles, cookies and coffee waiting for us when we arrived (which you don't get even at some 5 star hotels in Eilat)
The host was awaingly nice and attentive.
He took the time to show us everything there was on the property (laundry room, cafes and restaurants, 24 hour mini markets and what might be the best ice cream in the city!
This place is affordable, comfortable and close to everything.
The staff was helpful, accommodating, smiling and great overall.
rooms were clean and new.
As opposed to the larger and supposedly more fancy hotels in Eilat that I have stayed in the past, and where everything fell apart (door handles, paint, overcrowded pools, noisy people, nasty staff, etc.), this was just an awesome experience. Young crowd, family, all mixed, not crowded, great atmosphere and really nicely decorated hotel. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place!! Artistic building in a great location.
The weather in Eilat was so good like in the summer and there is a pool in the hotel and also outside in a walking distance a beach of the red sea.
The service was very nice , staff are professional and have very good soft skills .
This is a real 5 start hotel very high standard, high quality , extremely recomnded .
This is the second time we are staying at Leonardo Plaza Hotel. The hotel is clean, excellent breakfasts, kind and always helpful staff.
The location of the hotel is the best money can buy. The hotel is located on the beach and all rooms face the sea (pictures are attached).
Many good restaurants and shops are in the vicinity of the hotel
The hotel looks nice and comfortable
Its right on the beach next to the sanked ship diving site
You can tell the place is old but it was clean and well maintained
The staff are really helpfull and friendly a spicial thanks to amit from the reception he was super profissional and helpfull and gave a very good first impression about the hotel.
I live in Israel four hours north of Elait. Yam Suf has been my favorite Elait hotel for a long time. It’s clean. Great pool. Two pools. They maintain the property. Quiet. Relaxing. Always full to capacity. Many return customers. Away from the center of town. Close to taba crossing. Great views of mountains and sea.
Extensive, varied and delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Modern and practical rooms. Great room service.
If you don't like the massive hotels with lots of guests, this is the place to stay in Eilat.
Mamo restaurant at the ground floor is also highly recommended with delicious food and great service.

I love the location right on the beach. love that the hotel is not huge and impersonal. the staff is very friendly and it has a homely vibe to it that is great. breakfast is delicious. great fruits and everything else you may want. it is right next to aqua sport for great diving and snorkeling.
we received very nice apartment ,the original booking was upgraded , perfect location, nice hosts , apartment equipped and you have all you need . parking is available on the street (city parking using the payment application) and also underground parking is available for cheap prize.
The most special experience I have ever had in an Israeli hotel .service of staff was incredible and felt like family . Hard to find a hotel with such high quality standards but also makes a personal experience for each guest. Thank you Tal and Liran
Nice new apartment. Clean and tidy. Kitchen good enough, very nice bathroom. We booked the first day the apartment appeared on booking.com and did not regret it. Because of this we got a price much cheaper than the current one.
