A very lively small town, very friendly. Good centre for visiting historic sights in the region, and excellent for birdwatching. Good selection of eating places, We recommend Mar y Luz for local food and pizzas - friendly and welcoming staff, and good opening hours.
Plenty of beaches, ports and small villages in the area for great photo opportunities.

The apartment is really as shown in the photos.
The apartment is really as shown in the photos. It is beautiful, large, attractive, clean, modern, very comfortable and fully equipped. Everything you can think of is there. On arrival the drinks are ready in the fridge. A lovely balcony with a beautiful view over the harbor. There are many beaches and beautiful bays in the area. It is also a great base for visiting beautiful cities such as Valencia, Tarragona and Barcelona. There are also of course the smaller atmospheric seaside villages. The town of Sant Carles de la Ràpita has nice streets, squares, harbor, restaurants, etc. The host of the apartment is very friendly and helpful. Communication is very easy, for example with WhatsApp. If there is a question or comment, you will receive an immediate answer. Overall great!!!

The Hotel was very clean and the rooms comfortable.
The Hotel was very clean and the rooms comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel is not open on a Monday, so we had to walk for about an hour around the town to find somewhere to eat. It was November. Eventually we found a bar which had an outside enclosed restaurant on the street and had a very nice tapas meal. We walked back to the hotel in about 20 minutes, so was not that far away, although we had no idea where we were walking initially to find a restaurant.
The town is quite deserted in November, not much to see. Was a nice break though.

Our experience was coloured by staying in Juanito Platja, a hotel with spectacular views and a great restaurant, but the whole of the seafront area provided elegant and interesting walks which were clearly popular and felt safe, even late at night. Although we ate exclusively at the hotel we noticed busy cafes and restaurants overlooking the sea which we would have tried if we'd stayed longer. The centre of the town itself was okay but the seaside area raised it to a place well worth visiting. Although we visited in October there were many on the beach and a few actually in the water.

This is such an interestingly designed hotel, dating from the 1950's and it is so good that they have kept many of the original features. The staff were really friendly and helpful, which makes a big difference. We would be happy to return again in warmer weather when we would be able to sit out on the terrace and use the pool. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Food at dinner was average in quality, but there was plenty to eat. It was so lovely to hear the sea lapping against the beach as we drifted off to sleep.
The room is spacious, with lots of storage, the bathroom is big aswell, but the bath tube a bit small. There are rooms in the second and third floor, and no lift, and for me that I carried a bit of extra luggage and was given the room in the third room wasn't the best, but got to say Hotel seem very quiet and I would say I had the floor for my self.
We came across this hotel looking for an overnight stay making our way back to the UK and without any hesitation recommend it. It's ideally located, modern, compact and clean.
Had dinner at Tapsantas a very short distance from the hotel, again would highly recommend a visit.
Nice hotel , our room was on an upper floor with a view across to the sea . The buffet restaurant is large and very busy , breakfast is basic , we haven’t tried the lunch & dinner we always ate out .
Good location .
I am temporarily in a wheel chair. the hotel is excellent and food excellent. but they go the extra mile with their disabled room. electric bed, wide space and doors and a wet room that works well.
Convenient Location, staff very friendly and helpful, comfort in the hotel, good price value, good standard breakfast with nice coffee. We were allow to bring in food and use microwave and dishes.
