Expensive yachts line the marinas here and in nearby Puerto Banús, where exotic cars outnumber sedans. It also has the best clubs, as well as designer stores and trendy seafood restaurants. Be on the look out for the celebrities that vacation here or live along the Golden Mile, home to only the most extravagant villas and Marbella hotels.
Marbella beaches stretch over 16 miles, all set against the backdrop of spectacular mountains, best viewed from a boat. It is even possible to spot a dolphin. The beaches at Puerto Banús and San Pedro Alcántara are Blue Flag beaches, while the most popular are Venus and La Fontanilla in the center of town. Artola Beach also has protected dunes.
Attractions in Marbella include 10 Dalí sculptures on Avenida del Mar, and the cobbled Old Town streets lined with colourful Andalusian-style houses. Picturesque Orange Square has sidewalk cafes under the shade of orange trees, and nearby are ruins of a Moorish castle and the 16th-century town walls.
Other pursuits include horseracing at the Hipodromo Costa del Sol, and the area’s golf courses, including one designed by national hero Seve Ballesteros.
Malaga Airport is the nearest and Booking.com has a great range of accommodations in Marbella and the surrounding villages.

The location was perfect. we had stayed in that complex previously and being right on the beach was brilliant The apartment was well-equipped and very comfortable. We ate more in the old town which was great. Getting around is easy- walking or cycling is the best answer.
The not so good news was communication. There was no information provided with the keys. We didn't get the password for the internet until halfway through the holiday. The agent didn't answer their phone and was very slow to respond. Most bizarrely it seems we still haven't paid! Despite card details on booking.com. The agent asked us to go to the office to pay and was not there. Said she would provide bank details and never did, I am sure there is an explanation but it is an experience we never have had before. We are still happy to pay!

I chose Marbella as we hadn't stayed there before, being furtherSouth the climate was warmer, it didn't disappoint! there were 2 days of (much needed) rain at the end.
We stayed very close to "Orange Square", a truly delightful area, full of small shops, eating places and history. There were many tourists visiting the area, (coach parties) which simply added to the vibe. We found the municipal market, great for fresh fish! We walked all around, there is the castle, parks, and beaches. Busses are cheap to get around. On our return we had a direct coach from the bus station (top of Marbella) to the airport for 6 Euros each!! Plenty of restaurants. Yes, a few homeless people, yes young African men selling items on street. pavements

Marbella is beautiful, romantic city, with old town in heart of it. All is covered with flowers and has flamenco feeling all over it. I will always remember it as a unique city with strong history and amazing views on Dali's sculptures and wide beautiful beaches.

We stayed in the old town great spot for a short break, we loved Marbella but wouldn't want to visit in high season. Avoid the really touristy tapas bars and restaurants on the main streets, tapas looks great but it is made in the morning and reheated in microwaves, go somewhere where it's made fresh by wandering around we found a lovely tapas bar in a small square Tasca de Santi in plaza Jose palomo, food and service was wonderful, but there are plenty of other little bars and restaurants you know they are good if they are full of the locals. The beach and promenade area was lovely too very clean and in in early November still warm enough for a swim in the sea.

Marbella is a beautiful beach town but considerably more...
Marbella is a beautiful beach town but considerably more expensive than nearby cities like Malaga as it is considered quite posh. If you are visiting Costa del Sol, it is a good idea to stop by Marbella to enjoy the beautiful old town but it is not a must to stay. A day trip is sufficient.
The studio apartment was perfect. Spotlessly clean. Fresh towels every day. Very good selection of crockery and utensils including a coffee maker in our apartment. Nice balcony. The staff were helpful and friendly. The snack bar was also very good and with beautiful sea views so very relaxing. The location was excellent, right on the promenade and beach front. Close to Marbella centre and the old town. We were also provided with beach towels by the hotel for a refundable deposit.
The hotel is located in a well landscaped area, surrounded with trees. The area is mostly accessed by local residents, streets are quiet. Minutes walk to the beach, supermarket and restaurant. Very convenient. There are 2 bus stops nearby, bus stops are minutes walk from the hotel. They bring you to Marbella old town in 30 minutes. The hotel provides group tours and airport services. We had a very enjoyable trip.
Great staff, beautifully clean hotel. Rooftop pool is a definite plus. Excellent location, within easy walking distance to beaches, marina, harbour and fantastic selection of bars and restaurants. Also walking distance to Marbella Old Town and Orange Square, with plenty more cafeterias and bars. Great shopping. This was our 4th stay at Marbella Inn, and we will most definitely be staying again.
Large room with terrace to sit out was lovely. The beach was a quick walk away. Bikes were available out front of the hotel for riding along the promenade to Marbella town. puerto banus was a 15 minute walk away. Liked the water stations on every floor toget fresh water each day with no plastic waste.
In the Old Town, this is my "go to place!" I'm in Marbella six times a year ,I've tried them all and this is the best place. Value for money, comfortable,so clean. A lovely roof terrace with big comfy sofas and a view across the Old Town to the wonderful old church, ideal!
The location of the hotel is perfect! It's near the historic center, the beach, restaurants, shopping stores... The staff is very welcoming as well! We really loved and enjoyed our stay in Ona Marbella Inn, and we'll definitely come back for our next stay in Marbella!
Hotel is in the middle of Marbella old town, has a private parking very close to the hotel. Breakfast is top. The people that work there do their job with alot of love. You can really see that they love their job. Super friendly& professional!!
One of the best options in Marbella.
Not cheap but believe me it’s worth each EUR you will spend it here.
The location was perfect.
Amazing Breakfast and you should include that in your reservation.
Do not hesitate to book in Amare Hotel.
Breakfast was really good, very high variety, hot dishes (eggs, churos, pancakes, omlete..) cooked on the spot, fresh smoothies. This was the only in this hotel that really felt like 5 star.
Big free parking outdoor + paid inside parking.
The location is great, right behind the golden mile of Marbella and 1KM from Marbella town or 4KM to Puerto Banus walking (or running). the house is big enough for a family of 6.
BBQ on the rooftop is the best for dinner.
Excellent location for Old Town Marbella. Only stayed for a one night stopover to go to Starlite Occident - very easy to get to and fro from the hotel. In a quiet area too with no traffic which was a bonus!
The hotel was clean. The staff is super friendly. There is enough space to park a car.
It is close to the beach and not so far from the center.
Location is unusual for Spain, has a Scandinavian vibe.
Everything was as food as I expected. The hotel is very close to the best places in Marbella and to the sea.
the room vas comfortable, a lot of place for personal thing, good balcony.
Great place to stay in Marbella. Close to the beach and an old Town. Rooftop tarrace offers nice views. It doesn't get cold inside like in most old buildings across South of Spain.
I’ve stayed in many hotels in Marbella, and none can beat Melia Banus. The location, the staff, the property are all amazing. I can’t wait to stay there again
Great location for walking into Puerto Banus and Marbella. Hotel very clean, food good, staff very accommodating, cheerful and hard working . Good size rooms.
