Room 301. Clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed,and a good shower, but the exceptional extra made it!- a private little terrace to enjoy the sun, and to watch the aerial ballet put on by the swifts.
Breakfast comprised all the usual suspects, even fresh strawberries, and a charming member of staff made each cup of coffee to our individual requirements.
I like a leisurely start to the day, and one without music, so thank you.

The hotel provided a very pleasant experience. The staff was amazing and a shout out to everyone for being kind, friendly and helpful! Morning breakfast was excellent. Plenty of variety and a chef who made omelets and fresh eggs. One day the breakfast was not open and the front desk allowed me to go in and make a cup of coffee. Big plus in my books. We ate the restaurant one day and the staff were very engaging and funny! We loved them. We also did nightly drinks in the bar to wrap up our day. Again, great staff! The room was super clean. GREAT balcony! And most importantly a comfy bed. We did utilize the workout room, the pool and the sauna. A plus! We would definitely stay here again!

A town synonymous with sherry, dancing horses and motorsports, Jerez de la Frontera also features the typical Andalusian traits of gorgeous sunshine, elaborately painted tiles and rhythmic flamenco.
The latter was reportedly born here and the town is home to the Andalusian Center of Flamenco. Nearby is the "bodega" of Harveys, a sherry brand with great wine cellar tours. Others include Pedro Domecq – the oldest – and the internationally acclaimed Tio Pepe.
There's no shortage of horse statues all over town and a park houses the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, a dressage riding school with public performances. The annual Jerez Horse Fair is an even more spectacular event that takes over the whole town. The town is also teeming with bike enthusiasts during the Spanish Moto GP, the same circuit that hosts pre-season F1 testing.
Other sights include Jerez Alcázar, an 11th-century Moorish castle, and the multifaceted cathedral which is beautifully lit at night. Plaza del Mercado has the archaeology museum and part of the city walls surround the historic center. The Hammam Andalusí has a wonderful Arab baths experience, and the Cartuja monastery provides delicious soul food.
Booking.com’s Jerez de la Frontera accommodations include 5-star hotels with pools, cheap apartments and guesthouses near the train station, with direct connections to Jerez Airport.
A very quick weekend away. Jerez has lots of gems to offer.
A very quick weekend away. Jerez has lots of gems to offer. Recommend going to the Real Academia for the museums about horses and everything around it, as well as the horse shows themselves. Several interesting churches as well as the Alcazar to visit. Filled with great places to eat and fantastic choice of flamenco bars (we particularly liked Flamenkana, flamenco african mix)! Great for a long weekend, and to keep coming back to explore. We were there for the Sherry Half Marathon which was also great fun, the townspeople were really welcoming and supportive. Gets crazy busy (and expensive) at the Feria del Caballo and Moto GP dates, so be aware of this when booking. Most things in town centre accessible on foot, but usually street parking or faciliites available when need to use the car. Has shopping centres, IKEA and a go kart track just outside the town! Don't think twice, go and visit!

Jerez de la Frontera ("Jerez" here after) is a GEM!
Jerez de la Frontera ("Jerez" here after) is a GEM! Go there if you can.
It is the biggest town in the Jerez (strong wine) triangle. This is the birthplace for the famous wine some people call Sherry. I prefer to call it Jerez because the "Sherry" is connected to something I would call a colonialistic robbery when Francis Drake stole 3 000 barrels in Cádiz 1587.
So when you want to discover this exciting wine please ask for a "Fino", a "Manzanilla", an "Amontillado", an "Oloroso" or some of a few other types of this strong wine. Avoid of course Sandeman's or Harvey's. Those products are just not the same. Go local instead, it is excellent!
Jerez is also the main city and the birthplace for Flamenco. In fact the whole city IS Flamenco. Wait until late evening and get into one of the many Tabancos. You will find many of them in the historic city center.
You will experience Flamenco in organized shows and/or as more spontaneous performances. Then change place to another Tabanco and another and the later the night becomes you will hear more and more of the typical "clap clap" and see the dancing throughout the city.
Spend a week in Jerez, spend two, spend four. Nothing will be more Spanish and Andalusian than this.
Advise: If you can you should avoid the summer months. The summer here can be very hot and it is also overcrowded. In wintertime the temperature rarely sinks below 10 degrees at night and the days are very often nice and bright.

We loved it.
We loved it. The centre of Jerez was full of bars, restaurants and cafes. Our stay was three nights. We packed in a day trip to Cadiz by train, visited Tio Pepe for tour and tasting and Andalusian horse show. All done on foot. We stayed Sun to Weds and not all the restaurants we had been recommended were open however, Las Banderillas was fantastic and highly recommended. I would definitely return at this time of year.

We absolutely loved Jerez de la Frontera.
We absolutely loved Jerez de la Frontera. Although it's not 'on the map' like Cordoba or Sevilla, it's a really attractive and sizeable town with plenty to see and do. We visited Bodegas Tradicion and would highly recommend. We also went to the Andalusian Equestrian school which was good and the Alcazar was really great. We were lucky enough to be there during Santa Semana so it was interesting to see the Catholic traditions.

The apartment was in the best location off one of the very popular squares where all the tour guides meet. There are so many bars/restaurants/cafes around here, it was hard to choose from but they were all good. The car parking was easy and close to walk to. However, it is best to park the car and walk around Jerez de la Frontera which is very easy and the best way to see and experience everything. Jerez is famous for its Andalusian horses and the Show is amazing and worth seeing. Flamenco is everywhere and again, try and see this in a bar or two while you have a tapas. It is also famous for its sherry growing and a tour around one of the sherry places is a must. However, check the reviews before you book a tour as not all are good value. On top of all the historic and beautiful buildings, there is a lot in Jerez to keep you interested and active.
I would avoid the Tio Pepe sherry tour as we felt this was a real scam. A silly carnival tractor that took you very slowly around the owner's garden followed by a tour that, depending on the tour guide, could have been so much more interesting but mostly concentrated on advertising Tio Pepe and their brands around the world. The tasting at the end was appalling - no tasting notes or explanations of the wines. Just all put on your table at once with a few nuts/ham/cheese and left.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazing. They were very helpful and nice in a sticky situation. The breakfast was great, there is a nice, relaxing bar for and evening drink and a very good restaurant I would highly recommend. We used the valet parking which I also recommend. The staff does all sorts of extra things for the guests: taking care of luggage coming and going, chocolates delivered in the evening, a teddy bear delivery for sleeping, and a gift bag when you check out. It was all so nice!
very personal service from the owner who looked after us very well, even though we were only staying for one night. The bed was very comfortable, a very relaxing stay.
Don’t be put off by the building work that is going on around the hotel, part of a long term project. It was only a mild inconvenience to us.
The owners have put a lot of effort into making their hotel a success and I wish them well.
it is just a short walk to the centre of town. Breakfast facilities as normal for Spain.
El Balcón de la Bodega was an absolutely amazing space, incredibly well located and beautifully decorated with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. It's located near the Casco Antiguo and close to many bodegas, cafes and restaurants and there is ample free street parking right outside. This is one of the best apartments we've stayed in in Europe, certainly in Spain. Highly recommended!
We booked a Junior Suite. The room was very spacious , comfortable and quiet. It looked over a courtyard at the back. The bathroom was huge and the shower was the best one that we had out of all the hotels that we stayed in while touring Andalucia by train. Great location too; close to the cathedral, alcazar and several bodegas. The staff were friendly and helpful. An all round excellent stay.
Astuto is close to everything you want in Jerez, attractions, shopping and restaurants. Everything is in walking distance. The hotel staff is super friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make you at home. The property is well appointed, clean and the rooms are comfortable. They have an agreement with a nearby parking garage at a reduced rate which makes it convenient.
The reception staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Pablo, Sandra, and Nazarez were delightful. We miss them, frankly. The room was fabulous, the hotel is exceedingly quiet, neatly furnished. A class act. The location was wonderful for us - an easy walk to many sites, restaurants, shopping, even bodegas. Highly recommended property.
Easy to drive to with parking under the Hotel. Easy walk from the Hotel right into the heart of Jerez and all the bars, shops and restaurants. Large bedroom, good shower, balcony doors overlooking the street below. All clean and well managed. In 20 mins we walked to the Royal Andalucian Horse School, a fantastic location and worth a visit.
The apartment was in the perfect location (right in the center) the host was amazingly helpful (always online to help with any questions or queries I had.
10/10 for me!!
We loved Jerez!! Quite, relaxing, not full of “Foreigners” like most places in Spain (still more raw than other places)
A great getaway for a long weekend
I have been to Jerez many times and this lovely hotel is in the best location of all. We could listen to the sounds of water in the Arenal fountain from our room. The apartment was very nice, and gives access to the many barrios of interest - San Miguel, Alcazar/cathedral, via Larga, etc. We will stay here again.
For us everything was great, Location , best tapas bar so far in Spain less than 10 minutes walk. Parking opitons made everything so easy. Place as been well loved and felt like a home rather than a clinical rental. Internal court yard so well kept and some beautiful planting. So quiet also anytime.
Location! Located in the old town of Jerez de la Frontera, it is 500 meters from the cathedral and the Alcázar, visit the famous Jerez wineries as well as the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and the bullring, 10 minutes walk.
Many bars and restaurants, tablaos flamencos and tabancos.
The flat was immaculate and very comfortable with every need catered for. It was easy to drive to and was easy walking to the city centre, perfect. An added bonus is that there is a yummy patisserie just over the road! Raoul was very helpful and spoke excellent English
The comfort of the entire unit, especially the private terrace. Also, the proximity of all the places I was interested in visiting.
The hotel staff was very kind and helpful with all my questions. The wine tour was very informative and fun, and the food was great.
Great city center location, and it is easy to find. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Very comfortable and well laid out rooms. We enjoyed our buffet breakfast. Thank you.
Simple standard, but clean, close to city centre. The hotel manager was extremely friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable in this hotel. Very good vakue for the price.
