The property was very clean, comfortable and close to a lot of facilities/restaurants. The owner was very nice, he made a reservation for us at a restaurant as we did not have a phone to call. We struggled to have a taxi take us back to the airport, but he offered us a ride. Very nice and understanding, would 100% recommend. Also, being able to do laundry is a huge plus!

O Farrobo, hotel in Lajido

Providing inner courtyard views, O Farrobo in Madalena offers accommodations and a garden. With sea views, this accommodation features a patio.

We loved the beautiful apartments at O Farrobo. The apartments are fantastic renovations of old lava stone houses. The interiors are modern, sleek and comfortable. We felt as though we were hidden in an Azorean forest. There is even air-conditioning and the beds are big and very comfortable (not typical for the Azores!) The owners are sweet, accomodating and helpful. Andrea called us a cab to the airport and allowed us to check in earlier than we expected. We also had lunch at the on-site restaurant which serves delicious steaks and excellent fries. We will miss the kitty I played with all evening. We hope to come back next year.

Atlantic Heritage Luxury Villa, hotel in Lajido

With mountain views, this accommodation provides a balcony and a swimming pool. The villa also offers free Wifi, free private parking, and facilities for disabled guests.

I don't even know where to start. Anticipating changing corona measures, we made use of the private dinner services. Every day, we could schedule breakfast and dinner at a time of our choice, and the quality of the meals was exquisite, among the best food we had in Portugal. Carolina, the host, was absolutely brilliant and made our stay perfect - some of the best services we enjoyed. An example: weather changed rapidly on a whale watching trip. With wind, waves and rain, even waterproof wear got soaked. Carolina offered to wash our clothing, and we were able to wear it again when climbing Pico mountain. The villa itself is fantastic, and luxurious. Small details and facilities complete the experience: bluetooth speakers, a playstation (you don't need this), firewood, etc. We very much enjoyed the hot jacuzzi and cooling down in the pool outside. The view is amazing, changing every day. This was probably one of our best ever holiday experiences in terms of accommodation.

The place is very small, and there was just 1 cafè and 1 snack bar. Though, consdering Pico is a 15k people islands, we found there more than strolling around the rest of the island. Just be ready and don't expect restaurants or big facilities that, on the other side, once you know it, maybe it'is also what I liked the most
