Lagos Atlantic Hotel, hotel in Lagos

Located in Lagos, 1640 feet from Porto de Mos Beach and 1.2 mi from Dona Ana Beach, Lagos Atlantic Hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a bar.

Close enough to the action but far enough away, I also felt secluded. 3-5 Euros for Uber to Old Towne. 5 mins walking too beautiful beach and 10-15 min walk to trails that lead too beaches and rock formations that will blow you away! The pool and bar area was also a vibe with great service!!!! The value for this hotel is amazing!!!

Solar de Mos, hotel in Lagos

This family-run hotel in Lagos offers rooms with a private balcony and a surrounding palm garden with a swimming pool and sun terrace. The restaurant serves traditional Algarvean meals.

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by courteous and professional staff who made our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was very clean and spacious as was the bathroom, and even had a little private balcony with lawn chairs. We also really appreciated the doors that prevented any sunlight in the morning. The rooms were cleaned daily by the housekeeping staff with the beds being made and clean towels were provided. Finally, the breakfast was a nice touch with plenty of options and a great way for us to start our days before heading out.

Costa d'Oiro Ambiance Village, hotel in Lagos

Costa d'Oiro Ambiance Village offers the Mediterranean architecture of villas, gardens, terraces and swimming pools spread throughout. It is 984 feet from Lagos’ Dona Ana Beach.

Really outstanding breakfast, extremly helpful and very courteous crew! The hotel is one of the nicest we have seen in Portugal. The 3 pools were warm in enough mid April to take a swim, everything ist maintained on a high level. We wonder how it will be in a few years time, when the big hotel complexes which are being built right now near the hotel may lead to overtourism...

FAQs about hotels in Lagos

History and Sandy Algarve Beaches

With a long and rich history, Lagos is nowadays a famous beach resort of the sunny Portuguese region of Algarve. Including wide sandy beaches and quiet coves enclosed by ochre cliffs, it also offers a lively city centre with one of the best mixes between history and modernity in the region.

King Henry the Navigator chose it as a base for his trips of discovery during the 15th century, and later on, it became the residence of the Algarve governors. The Old Town is circled by medieval walls, typical narrow streets, historic buildings and charming squares. B&B’s and hotels in Lagos’s historic centre allow you to enjoy these picturesque surroundings.

Apart from being an important centre for sailing, the city has amazing beaches, like Meia Praia or Praia da Dona Ana. Resorts and hotels on Lagos’ beaches are the perfect choice for sun lovers, while the hotels near the modern Lagos Marina are popular, as they are both close to the centre and the railway station.

The city is 90 km from Faro Airport, and 24 km from Portimão. Check out the Lagos hotels deals on Booking.com before travelling!

Lagos is a beautiful old city with modern hotels and apartments outside the walled centre. There are plenty of beaches and experiences to be seen and a fabulous board walk on both Meia Praia and Camilo . Public transport is great with buses to most locations. The blue route links from Poto da Mos via Donna Anna to Meia Praia . There is an abundance of good quality restaurants , go for the more traditional small ones for authentic food. The marina has a good vibe and some nice bars serving food. The zoo is worth a visit and is on a bus route Ther is something for all ages in Lagos and the surrounding area

Lovely marina area with plenty of restaurants, the Lighthouse bar on the marina is good for food and reasonable prices. Old town has a large and varied choice of bars and restaurants. Good supermarkets. Easy to get around Ubers are cheaper than taxis. Seems to be a rise in the number of beggars mainly in the old town. Plenty of sea excursions available such as fishing, dolphin spotting and visiting caves.

Lagos is a lot less touristy than some other surrounding towns. There's plenty of bars and restaurants in the old town and the marina. Lots of beaches to choose from. On one side you have the longest beach with holden sands. And on the other, lots of small beaches in between the cliffs. Some can only be reached by boat or kayak. Top of the cliffs offer spectacular walks along the wooden paths offering breathtaking views.

Lagos is an interesting city, with a lively city center and lots of attractions and restaurants but also magnificent nature thanks to the beaches and cliffs of Ponta da Piedade. There are plenty of one day trips to go on nearby such as Sagres, Silves, Benagil, Alvor, etc.

    Beautiful beaches and grottos.

Beautiful beaches and grottos. Great restaurants, fish market, and boardwalks for walking and biking. It would have been easier to explore neighboring towns with a car. We felt limited without one. The people are so kind and considerate and laid-back. The weather in April was beautiful but too cold for swimming. We spent a week in Lisbon, Tavira, and Lagos. Lagos was our favorite.

A friendly, small city that is welcoming for visitors. There is a great selection of restaurants and shops lining historic laneways and cobble stoned streets. Don't miss the grottos from the cliffs above from the sea by boat. They are spectacular.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, their is an amazing rooftop area where you can relax that has beautiful views of the city and sea, and there is a nice shared kitchen. Everything!! Small 5 room hotel. The hosts are amazing and cook fresh breakfasts every morning using local fresh ingredients. Great location only 7 minutes drive from the center. Very private and quiet. And no children to spoil your afternoon pool time. Free parking. Very communicative hosts. We were provided a welcome snack and glass of sparkling wine upon our arrival. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Lagos area. Thank you Renato and Rosana for a wonderful visit.

This is a reasonably priced, clean, hotel located close to the beach and directly on one of the main tourist commercial areas that only allows pedestrian traffic. My room was clean and cozy with air conditioning, TV and comfortable bed. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure. Parking for my rent a car was close by and reasonably priced in a public parking garage. Breakfast is available for a nominal charge. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Lagos.

Carvi Beach Hotel was a great stay for the area, the only thing in hindsight would be that we probably would have shifted our 2 or 3 night stay away from this location to another one a bit further East. Don't get me wrong, we had a really good stay, and the roof top pool is pretty awesome, and there are some great beaches/cliffs/walks nearby. But after quickly going through Portimao and Carvoeiro...we'd probably have base camped there and then driven to Lagos for the day.

This is one of the best places we have stayed. Very welcoming owners of a family run hotel with an excellent location with views of the marina and the river from the terrace. It is a small hotel that has been tastefully decorated to a very high standard. The breakfast is excellent as is the location in easy reach of bus or train. We cannot praise the owners enough for running a hotel meant for people who do not need a TV in their room and appreciate peace and quiet.

It was our 1st time in Lagos and the Villa Zawaia was a wonderful hotel. We stayed for 3 nights - enjoyed a yummy breakfast each morning on the terrace and found the hotel truly a perfect location for exploring Lagos, the surrounding beaches, finding good restaurants and still being in a nice area that was quiet at night. Also, we had a rental car and it was super easy to park at the free parking lot 3 minute walk away. Highly recommend this hotel!

From the moment we arrived we were wowed with this hotel. The welcome was generous and warm, the staff were attentive and the surroundings were everything you'd expect from a boutique hotel. The food was wonderful, and the Monkey Bar had a wide selection of drinks. I also enjoyed a few spa treatments which were carried out in a wonderfully relaxing space by excellent therapists - amongst the best massages I've ever had!

The location is great, in the city centre of Lagos, you can go everywhere by foot! There are restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets all around! The train station is 15 minutes on foot and the marina, where you can book cruise trips, is at a distance of 10 minutes walking, which is convenient.
