Rinoterra Minho is a wonderful place in all means: the location is perfect, the staff is professional and kind, the rooms are well planned and furnished. The place is very green and beautiful. The breakfasts and dinners are delicious.
Highly recommend!👍

We were very unsatisfied with the hotel and staff and food. We had dinner in the restaurant, nothing met our satisfaction. Very disappointed. We requested 2 twin beds which was noted on our reservation and the gal at the desk just basically said sorry, all we have is a king… when we went to cancel she told us we would not get our money back

The staff is extremely kind and accommodating, everyone was exceptional. The room had a gorgeous view of the sunset over the lake and the location was absolutely ideal- I was cycling the Camino from Porto to Santiago and this was one of my favorite accommodations along the way. I got a boat to take me and my bike across to Spain and it could not have been more convenient from the hotel, and only €6. The spa was also lovely and I very much appreciated that they accommodated me on a Monday morning before I had to continue my Camino, and let me check out a little later to accommodate my massage. Thank you for having me!
Arca Nova Guest House is located in Caminha, a few steps from the train station, the center of the village and Minho River.

The podlike setup actually muffled out a lot of the normal hostel sounds. The hostel owner is amazing and very warm! I really appreciated the selection at the breakfast you can get for an extra 5 euros. The hostel is very close to the center of town so it's very convenient.

Caminha, a fortified border town located at the mouth of the river Minho, where several battles were fought between Portugal and Spain, now has much more friendly relations with its neighbor , it is a nice place to stay a few days to discover the area, unfortunately the ferry that connects the two banks of the river, is out of service.

I have been taking holidays in Caminha for over 30 years so it is one of my favourite spots. The town is small and everything is in walking distance, packed with enough restaurant choices to keep you satisfied and very well fed. Around it there's plenty interesting things to see and places to visit, also more restaurants with more excellent food to enjoy. The proximity with Spain is also a bonus.

Great little town with a lots of culture and tradition.
Great little town with a lots of culture and tradition. As a pilgrim, there were not so many places to stay, but I met some lovely people there. I loved walking along the river Minho, beautiful landscape, fascinating architecture. It's a quiet town that is located on the riverbank of Rio Minho and you can cross the river by ferry to Spain.

CAMINHA is a very attractive little town especially the old centre which has a lovely bustling square !
Many decent reasonably priced restaurants.
There are lovely clean beaches & super views across the River Minho to Spain !
Ideally located for walking on the beautiful unspoilt Serra da Arga or along the coastline.
Easy to nip across to Spain on the cheap ferry.
Good train service to other interesting places.
The place is amazing for people who want peace and privacy. The view to the mountains is spectacular. There is nothing around on foot, but with a car have a couple nice restaurants. We tried vilar, muralha de caminha and baptista and all have nice food. I particurlarly liked baptista even that one is more expensive. Vila Nova Cerveira has exceptionally nice park with lots of activities for kids.
Location location location. Our room looked over the Minho river. Our bathroom looked onto the matiz church. The ferry station to Spain was one minute to the right same as supermarket. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and lots of windows onto the river. Short walk to the centre and many cafes and restaurants. A well renowned restaurant downstairs which was closed being a Sunday.
Magnificent views over the river Mino and Spain. From the room you could see the sun set behind the hill. The rooms are like individual bungalows with panoramic windows floor to ceiling. Very quiet place ideal for good sleep and relaxation. As the location of the hotel is high up the hill the air is very clean. Easy walk down to the village of Seixas.
A gem of a little hotel located on a lovely river. Carefully restored, it is has a wonderful garden and easy access to swim n the river. You can cross over to a little cafe. There is a nice restaurant near by but it was closed on a Sunday evening. Nice area for us to stop on our way up through Portugal and Spain.
What an excellent and upmarket hotel on the riverfront of Caminha but very affordable and good value for money.
Hotel has excellent amenities with well appointed and comfortable spacious neat and clean rooms - spectacular common areas, very friendly and helpful staff.
I can highly recommend this hotel.
Terrific newly renovated facility with eco friendly initiatives at its core. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Kitchen facilities provided and close to shops and laundromat. Very convenient to the boat dock for travel to Spain. A great stay on our Camino.
Wonderful reception. Great breakfast offering, nice kitchen area. The best and most wonderful feature for me is the foot soak spa. I never knew I wanted such a thing and was forever after disappointed not to have such a thing again during my travels.
Lawrence was a great host who directed us to a great place for a vegetarian meal (not easy in Portugal). We really enjoyed it and the beautiful town. His place also had a washer and dryer that was well appreciated.
Super comfortable and central place, the place is beautiful , with river view.
Super quiet and nice place, to have a good rest before continue to Caminho Santiago!! It was a great choice !
The hotel was great great value when I went, fab shower, nice size room, clean, free parking, and an excellent restaurant downstairs, value for money was a 10! Stop by it was very good.
We were offered a pilgrim meal and a massage!
There was also a washer and drier available.
We were picked up in the morning to get the boat taxi to Spain.
