Rita is a really wonderful host and makes you feel right at home. So even for someone a little more introverted like me I felt comfortable.
There are some lovely facilities: the pool, the game/lounge room and the eating area are all really cozy and nice spaces to just hangout and relax.
The bedroom was nice and clean and a fan was provided to help with Santarém's heat.
I really recommend Avó Rosa Guesthouse as a place to just stay and relax away from the city.

I did not realize how remote and isolated the location was when I booked it. There is no where to go. It's not a good choice for someone without a car. I booked it only because there was no where else available in Santarem. I arrived hungry, without dinner and there is nothing around. The owners are extremely nice. They ordered a pizza for me. Nothing is in walking distance.
