The town is big but most houses and some shops seemed closed (late October, early November) but you can find anything you need and it's a good location to travel both East and west fo the Algerve.

I stay here regularly, its a great town a mix of local and visiting people, but nothing like Albufeira, the beach is perfect for running, swimming. The Market is wonderful. Apartment was clean and very well equipped, also air conditioned inlcuding bedrooms. Short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars, including Bistro 176 and bar near kids playground. Some lovely reasonably priced restaurants Pera Bistro, Olivemar, Italian, Palm Beach.

Beautiful location. Relaxing and wonderful scenery gardens well maintained and rooms clean and air-conditioning perfect. Attentive and pleasant staff at reception and in dining areas. A fantastic location for a relaxing stay in beautiful cliff top location with wonderful beaches near by. Food good choices and fresh.

Beautiful beach, perfect break away in the quieter winter...
Beautiful beach, perfect break away in the quieter winter months. Holiday Inn is right on the beach and if you book a sea view room you won’t be disappointed. Some lovely Portuguese restaurants locally. Love coming back here whenever we can.

The staff are exceptional. It’s a very welcoming hotel in an excellent beach front location. We were lucky to have a sea view room with a private balcony. It’s a very nice & relaxing place to stay. We are already planning our next visit.FrenchPortugal

The hotel takes advantage of the fact that it has been there for decades. Of course, it is after an overall modern and sensitive reconstruction. However, the biggest benefit is Thallasotherpy. Their equipment and the professional level of their own therapists is quite extraordinary. however, the greatest added value is the fantastically and very professionally managed team of all employees.jiriCzech Republic

The location of the hotel is outstanding, right in front of the beach, and practically in the middle of magnificent Algarve Coast. As we had a rented car, we could explore the entire coast, and see the beautiful beaches and caves. The hotel room was very big, with a generous terrace facing the Atlantic Ocean. Staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. The pool and gym were excellent too.

Elevator up to the 6th floor which was good for bringing up our luggage. Had to carry it up the last flight of stairs. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and local grocery stores were very good for the items we needed. Once we found the apartment, it was easy to get inside as we were given the access codes to enter the building and the lock box for the apartment keys.

All the staff where friendly and the facilities such as pool and gardens where all clean and well maintained. also the rooms where cleaned and beds made up every other day which was appriciated.

Hotel definitely has charm, not like a generic modern hotel, it is quaint and very well kept. If you have a car, it's highly recommended that you stay here.
