We stayed at the Li River Resort at the end of April. Upon arrival we were greeted with a wonderful, helpful staff. The room was beautiful with lots of space as we had booked the Executive double room. The only downside was that this Executive room faced the side of the property. The best views are at the front of the property. Nevertheless, the room was wonderful.
Beds were comfy. Linens, towels, sheets were of top quality. The bathroom was large and well appointed. Wifi was adequate and the A/C was great. The location of the hotel was about a beautiful 25 minute walk into town/West Street. The hotel also has timely free shuttle service to town. Additionally, you can call a Didi (Chinese Uber) and they come pick you up for just a few Yuan. The restaurant in the hotel was very good, with a wide variety of Chinese and western dishes. The staff also helped us book many excursions. Their prices were extremely reasonable. They also arranged for an early morning taxi to take us to Yangshuo Station. Again, the hotel is just wonderful. The staff is super and the location cannot be beaten. Just stay here if going to Yangshuo. Don't bother looking elsewhere.
Surrounded amid impressive Karst mountains, Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is located at the edge of Yulong River. Free WiFi access is available. Free parking space is offered.
Nestled in bamboo forests and surrounded by rural farmland, Riverside Retreat Hotel overlooks the beautiful water of the Li River.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. A very peaceful area and the Craig was very helpful with excellent English. The taxi to the main shopping area is easy. The pool was smaller than it looked in the photo but nice. Lovely garden area, easy for kids to explore and be safe. There was an Asian or western breakfast choice which varied between a buffet or served breakfast. There was also a variety of options available throughout the day from the menu from sandwiches to main meals. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

This was the perfect place to adventure around the Karst Peaks and Yangshuo. Plenty of restaurants nearby, but we could have just enjoyed our room the whole time if we wanted - so relaxing and will situated, incredible view, and wonderful staff. The dumbwaiter is an especially charming touch!
Featuring an escape in the nature, Banyan Tree Yangshuo is located in Fuli Town, a 20-minute car ride from West Street and downtown Yangshuo.

I liked the tranquility of the resort and even when crowded, you can still find peaceful spots on the property. I liked how most of the staff went our their way to make our stay comfortable and try to fulfill all our wishes. My son enjoyed the ponds and breakfast with peacocks! It was truly a blissful sight. I'd like to thank Ian for bringing our in room dining--super charming guy! I'd like to thank the chef (maybe Martin is his name) he always was helpful and most of all Rhianna for the nice hospitality! !

Wonderful “homestyle” inn. Loved the big, spacious room and wood furniture. Loved the little restaurant down the street, where we had delicious -cooked-to-order soup at dinner and traditional Chinese breakfast with fried dough sticks dipped in rice milk.

Nirvana Organic Farm exceeded our expectations! It’s located slightly outside of the Xingping town so really quiet with a great rooftop for star gazing! The rooms are also very clean and we loved the organic garden with many vegetables that we had there for dinner! The hostesses were also so friendly and we went sunrise trekking with them! We will be back for sure!

Amazing scenery. Definitely get out on a bike or electric scooter and go along the footpath next to the river.
The evening light show is amazing and definitely worth going to, but it is expensive and, be warned, nearly all the spectators (a few thousand of them) will be on their phones and talking very loudly throughout the whole performance.
West Street at night is worth seeing once. It is slightly tacky, but in a pretty way.
Silver cave is very pretty and you get a free headset in English (presumably other languages too). I can't believe that Reed Flute caves in Guilin are better, yet they are a lot more expensive.

Nice "little city" and a good base to see Xingping, the Silver Cave, Ruyi Peak and of course the cormorants (in Xingping). I'd love to have done Xianggong Hill. Most tourists do one of the two shows but I watched bits of the video and thought, not for me due to our limited time. I think 2 dinners in West Street might have added a bonus. Oh, try to get your Didi working.

I think Yangshou shines the best when you are trying off the beaten path things: climbing, caveing, trying local food (not just Kung Pao chicken, come on) and renting a scooter.
I'm genuinely impressed by the environment, people and abundance of culture of Yangshuo.
I tried a lot of local delicacies including oil tea 油茶,snail noodles 螺蛳粉 and beer fish. Definitely something you won't be able to try anywhere else. I liked first two, not the last one :)
I loved exploring surroundings via scooter, it is such a nice thing. And you have a chance to enjoy superb infrastructure of China. You won't believe me if I tell you that Yangshuo has highways with both motor- and bike- lanes. Simply amazing.
I recommend trying outdoor climbing and even caveing. There are many great spots (ask your hotel host, they should be able to tell you).
Come and enjoy.

For me, I went to Yangshuo for a relaxing getaway and that's just what I got. I don't know when the last time I have been this relaxed. I have friends who go there for rock-climbing and go a few times per year. The city is not very big so you don't need a lot of time going from place to place. I would advise to stay somewhere outside the city, like, within 5-6 kilometers and just rent a scooter. Actually, riding the scooter helped me get familiar with the city a lot better. And it's a form of meditation in and of itself, offering a bit of concentration as I got some sun on my face and cool wind in my hair.

Yangshuo is one of the prettiest parts of China in our opinion. The beauty of the Karst mountains is stunning and never bored us. The diversity of the mountains is a real treat for the eye. There are plenty of activities around like caving, climbing Moon hill, bamboo rafting the yulong river, exploring the environment on a rental scooter (¥30,- a day) or even helicopter and hot air balloon rides! Don't miss out on the local beer fish, a dish famous for a reason! Dine at Yangshuo Mountain retreat (the Brew) for the best tranquil dinner ever! Have lunch at 'Moon Hill restaurant' before or after climbing the mountain. The restaurant is located right next to the entry of the hill. Amazing view while eating local food. Take a few hours to visit the cable car, glass bridge and view platform of Ruyi park, lovely as well.

Yangshuo is located in the midst of a beautiful and tropical karst Mountain landscape and there are plenty of attractions ranging from caves to cable cars and tea plantations around, but the town itself is highly commercialised and most businesses cater to domestic package tourists.
Exquisitely decorated with extraordinary taste and attention to detail, the tea cozy hotel was the nicest hotel we stayed at in China. It was dramatically different from all the other hotels in Yangshuo. It was perfectly located and very comfortable. Hannah and the other staff couldn’t have been nicer, providing breakfast and advice on local attractions, performing a tea ceremony for us, and setting us up with electric scooters. In addition, it was ridiculously inexpensive- although it would was off season.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff were extremely helpful and communication in English was easy. Breakfast was delicious and there were many vegetarian options. Dinner was also delicious and the rooftop view of Moon Hill is beautiful. The location and value of staying here can’t be matched. Upon our request, staff helped us book tickets for drift rafting (so much fun) and the river show (can/should be skipped). We would stay here again if we are lucky enough to make it to Yangshuo again.
We had a wonderful stay at the Yangshuo Ancient Garden Boutique hotel, I will definitively recommend this hotel if you want to discover this beautiful area. The hotel is very nice, well located in a quiet area but not far from the city. It is nicely decorated and the rooms are beautiful.
Sophia took very good care of us, she organised all the visits and activities for our family, everything was smooth and perfect for the family.
Thank you again to Sophia and the team for the great holiday!
The hotel is conveniently located just outside Yangshuo but very near the beautiful Yulong River area. It’s a quiet place with a beautiful garden. Downtown is a short bicycle ride away. Gary and his family are great hosts. They speak good English and can provide you with detailed information on all local attractions. My room had a nice balcony overlooking the fields and mountains. Great place for a sundowner. This is already my second stay there and I definitely will come back again.
The location was perfect for our family away from busy streets and crowds. The room was spacious, clean and the view was spectacular. The swimming pool was a delight in the hot summer afternoon. The staff were polite and attentive. Special thanks to Emily for helping us with booking of trips and “rescuing” us from the West Street as there was no taxis available for hailing. I would recommend this hotel for couples or families that looking for a relaxing vacation.
The location is pretty good for exploring the area. Close to the river for bamboo rafting, Moon Hill, Banyan Tree, West Street, and a really good restaurant that looks like a French cafe.
The opportunity to rent a quality bike for 20 RMB for the day was nice, as well. The rooms, bath tub, and views are what make the place great. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
The hotel was great. The stuff and room wete exceptional. Shelly was very polite and helpful, she helped us find a way to get to Xingping town easier than any website will tell you. The views from the hotel were astonishing and breathtaking. The location was a bit far from all the activities in the city, on the other side of the river, but nothing DiDi can handle.
Excellent location and amenities. It is very close to the ferry pier. You can reach the hotel in 10mins walk from the pier. The room is nicely decorated and clean. You can enjoy the Lijiang river scenery from the balcony. The restaurant at the hotel is great as well. An excellent experience! I will recommend this hotel to other travellers.
The place have a perfect location. The facilities are good and very clean, and, most important, Lilly is an excelent fixer. She provides with stuffs (scooter, busses, excursions, etc) and information with the best places to go according what you want to do. The best place i stayed in China. Thank you!!
this place was amazing and cheap. also so near to city center. for my next holiday I would like to visit yangshuo city and want to stay in room has a balcony. I already miss you Lily (hostel owner), I really want to go yangshuo again and stay in this guest house again . ❤️❤️
It's a beautiful place, but you gotta know, you just can't walk to places from hotel, need a taxi.
Staff were amazing, wish, breakfast was a little better. Our room was clean and big, the big bathtub was very needed after the countryside and trips we had.
The hotel was on repair works but they arranged a stay for us at Bamboo leaf hotel, the stay was perfect, the hotel have free shuttle to Yangshuo downtown also you can rent scooters for all day. Staff were always kind and respectful!
We loved the view on the court and the iconic karst mountain of Yangshuo and the swimming pool. It is also possible to rent e-bike for 40 Yuan, directly to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good but more Chinese style than western.
The hotel is nice, well located and the staff was helpful and welcoming.
Room was nice too, comfortable and clean with a nice balcony.
The hotel has a restaurant, which was good and seems very popular.
Away from the crowds specially if looking for a place to relax. Good food at the hotel’s restaurant.
