Location was really good. We did not get the pool view room we paid for and were given a very dark room on the ground floor. Not impressed

Great breakfast. Coffee...not to bad...quite drinkable.
I think Ibis hotels offer a minimalist experience...have stayed in other Ibis hotels and they are quite similar in their offerings.

You need to rent a car in order to travel around. I have had a base stay in Merida. Merida is general overpriced and that doesnt mean the quality will follow for the value of the money. Merida itself is not interesting at all.

We really liked the city.
We really liked the city. You need to understand the bus situation and we tried, bought bus passes, tried using them but they were not coded the way our phone was displaying so we ended up using taxi service for all of our visitations to museums, central, restaurants, etc. It wasn't expensive but much more than the simple bus or combi travel would have been. Merida has lots to offer, especially with tours outside of the city, a bus trip to the beach in Progresso for 25 pesos each way, very cheap, cenotes, pyramids, on and on!

Merida is a historic small city/big village with several local entities and several upscale newer businesses too. Old buses and new buses. Very friendly and safe. People walk about the streets are pretty much all hours. It was fun. Energetic.

Merida is a big, historic, busy city surrounded by Mayan ruins, historic haciendas and beautiful cenotes. The Merida restaurant scene has everything from chef owned culinary gems to family run taco shops. There are many excellent tour guides available for in-depth exploration of the city and surroundings or one can do so on their own using public transportation or with a rental car.
The free breakfast was wonderful. The pool was lovely on a hot afternoon. The wifi worked well. The bed was comfortable. The shower was great - good water pressure and hot water that lasted - a first for me on the trip throughout Mexico! The free shuttle to the airport was appreciated and went well. Hosts responded to questions and concerns promptly via WhatApp. Hosts were wonderful. Access to free coffee, tea, water etc throughout day. Multiple lovely common and garden areas to relax or work all with Wifi. Good AC. Quiet for sleep.
We liked the location of the hotel, being a few blocks away from the main square. The price was excellent too, but we were surprised when they tried to charge us an extra 350 Pesos for extending the checkout by just 1 hour. Also, if you're choosing the twin bedroom, be aware that those rooms are in the modern extension of the house and not in the main colonial building. Try to opt for a double room, then you'll get the high ceilings and authentic Merida hacienda feel.
This felt like being in a home rather than a hotel, very nice staff and a beautifully decorated house
We loved having a dip in the small pool after a hot day in Merida
The included breakfast is great with fresh juice and made to order food
The room was really pretty, we loved the decor even if there was no window, it didn't bother us
The staff arranged to get our laundry done and you get some local recommendations in your room which where super useful
We absolutely loved our stay here and it was by far the best place we stayed in Mexico. The interior is beautiful and having a pool was such a great perk! The hotel is located centrally with lots of great restaurants nearby and we could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go.
The owners Judy and Danny are brilliant and they made us feel at home. They gave us lots of great recommendations, helped us book a visit to the ruins, and the breakfast was 10/10!!
Literally everything was outstanding: the staff (super responsive via WhatsApp, before, during, and after our stay), the place itself with spotless clean and spacious rooms in the middle of this tropical paradise of a hacienda, to the food, and the excellent location if you want to visit Uxmal, Chizen Itza, and Merida. The hotel will also organize local travel and sightseeing trips for you if you want.
If you are in Yucatan, this is THE place to stay at.
Property was quiet, away from town center so you can sleep without cars honking all night. Big room. Adults only, so no screaming children waking me up. Refillable water and small fridge in room. Merida is safe so don’t feel worried walking around. You can take blue bus from airport for 45mxn to second stop and walk 2-3 blocks to hotel, it’s just as nice or nicer than taxi.
This was our favourite place we have stayed in Mexico. Great location. Room was super spacious, and had a desk which was a nice touch. The beds were really comfortable and the air conditioning worked really well. Shower water pressure was excellent, great hot water. We also got new bottles of water every day which was much appreciated. WiFi really good.
Wonderful boutique hotel at a great location close to the center, but in a quiet neighbourhood. Nicely furnished rooms. The whole hotel is very stylish. The owner and receptionist were very kind and also gave us some useful tips on what to see on our way through Mexico. The breakfast was also very good. We would definitely recommend staying here.
The accommodation is excellent, very tastefully furnished and with lots of design and detail. Claudia is an excellent host, very friendly and with good tips. She has turned the accommodation into an oasis in the middle of the city where you can feel like home. Breakfast is really good. The best accommodation on our vacation in Mexico.
This is a beautiful property near the center of Merida, about a 10 minute walk to the main square. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe walking to and from the hotel at night. The pool is refreshing after a hot day exploring and the staff are wonderful. Breakfast each morning was delicious.
It was just wonderful! =)
Its a clean and welcoming facility, with great staff and very friendly, the beds are comfy, the bathrooms are awesome (clean and existing waterpressure), just wow!
Unfortunately I could not extend my stay, but i would have loved to! Best Hostel in Mexico so far!
Everything was perfect! Staff were great, good friendly vibes amongst other guests, beautiful facilities, fresh breakfast each morning and in a great location.
We have been travelling throughout Mexico for a while and this is one probably the best place we have stayed!
My favorite hotel in Mexico so far. Construction and architecture was excellent. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Adjoining king room with junior suite for kids was perfect and had kitchen with dining table. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night.
We stayed here on our honeymoon trip round Mexico. The hotel decoration was beautiful. Our room was huge and the private pool/tub was great. Aircon and fans worked really well and the main pool was lovely to relax by and cool down in.
One of the nicest hotels we stayed in in Mexico. hidden gem. good location. simple but nice breakfast. liked the big table and china which made u feel in an old grand house. lovely room. friendly staff. nice pool.
Stayed at this cozy Casa in Mexico and loved it! Clean rooms and had a real family vibe. The place is nice and quiet. The staff is awesome, really friendly and made me feel right at home. Totally recommend it! 😊
The location and the price of this hotel was incredible. It's near the centre/everything you would need, the price is crazy for the quality of wifi/TV etc compared to many other hotels we stayed in, in Mexico.
Great boutique hotel in Merida, walking distance to centre. The staff was incredible friendly and helpful, going above and beyond the call of duty to attend to us. Great Yucatan breakfast!
I like the location of the hotel you're closer to all the nightlife of Mérida at least on downtown area. You achieve many interesting places just by walking.
