The place was charming. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The room was a cute little tack room that was very romantic and it even included a nice breakfast. Loved it all. Would love to go back!

The cozy stone cottage is a perfect for a short term stay. For more than one or two nights it would be harder because it lacks a proper kitchen. That said, the hosts have provided microwave, fridge, small cookware, wine glasses(you are in wine country) and a good assortment of dishes. There is a BBQ outside. Internet and TV. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom quite large for the size of the cottage. Outside there is a small table and chairs for two with a serene garden view. It is a quick walk into the center of old Clyde with its cycle shops, restaurants, and charm.
Jenny the host and owner is a delight and will do her best to take care of all your needs

We located in Clyde to ride the River Trail and Roxborough Gorge. Our accommodation was central to bike hire services and cafes. There were lovely walks to enjoy and shops to browse. It was quiet, tidy and peaceful in Clyde.

In Clyde, I was looking for a quiet-ish place with a bit of activity around, so I could do some work without distractions, but feel not too distant from other people. Clyde exceeded my expectations!
What I liked - there's such a variety of things around - a beautiful historic town centre with a few cafes and restaurants. Even a cinema. There's wine stuff nearby for those who are into that (I'm not into that personally). And there are a few walking tracks - I did part of the Cairnmuir Hill Track, which offered beautiful landscapes and stunning views of the surrounding areas.
I also really enjoyed looking at the nearby Hydro dam.

Great place to visit and the Start of the Lake Dunstan Cycle Trail. Cyclists are well catered for and at the end of the day there are a number of cafes, and a couple of excellent restaurants. .. just need to book.
Very enjoyable small Central Otago town full of heritage buildings and beside the river - a great place to explore.

We stayed in Clyde as we were doing a one day bike ride along the Otago Rail Trail. Easy access to the Bike Rental and as we returned to the Clyde station it was perfect for us. Trail Journeys fit us for our bikes, drove us out to Auripo and sent us on our way. Great 61km ride!!!! Coffee at Lauder :) Beer and a Cheese Roll at Chatto Cool. :) We ate both nights at Paulina's Restaurant. Excellent food. The Lamb rump and Seafood paella were delicious. Definitely stay in Clyde and use Trail Journeys!
We loved everything about The Prospectors on Miner accommodation. The industrial+modern design, the beautiful outdoor deck, the comfortable beds and beautiful bed linen + wonderful kitchen and bathroom. Everything was exceptionally clean and comfy and brand new. And whilst being located on the owners property it is very private.
I'd say this is the best place to stay in historic Clyde - and a great base to cycle Dunstan Lake, Roxburgh Gorge and the Central Otago rail trail.
Lovely heritage building run by a couple who are passionate about it's history & provide such wonderful hospitality. We were unwell, so able to check in early & relax in the beautiful courtyard garden in shade of trees. Right in centre of Clyde & able to bring food back from Olivers restaurant next door. Breakfast was amazing, with museli, home-grown stewed fruit, freshly baked bread and homemade preserves.
This was our 5th stay. We absolutely love this hotel and the special atmosphere it evokes. Each room is different and the decor is stunning. Breakfast is amazing and served in a beautiful setting and included in the rate. The inner courtyard is very private and yet close to the hotel’s restaurant and bar. David and Andy are incredible hosts. Right in the heart of Clyde.
The Clyde cottage house is absolutely beautiful, the interior decor and facilities are exceptional, it is like traveling back in time with modern comfort. The garden was wonderful and Louise our host was so welcoming, we had the best time.
Clyde is also very pretty and has lots going on, strongly recommend the cottage, it is an experience in itself.
Lovely historic place....lots of antiques...and love put into running the Dunstan House.
The breakfast in the morning just put the icing on the cake!
The hosts were lovely and the cafe in the hotel was great.
Location wonderful.
Thank you for a great stay.
The Tinkers Cottage is a nice sweet little place. Clyde is also a great place to stay. It‘s only a pity that there is no stove but it has a grill. We really recommend the Tinkers Cottage.
The host was great and super helpful
Nice quiet Location
Nice breakfast and snacks
Large comfortable bedroom. Washer and clothes drying line.
So much better than a hotel room
Beautiful accommodation & gardens. Euan was very friendly & welcoming & cooked us a delicious breakfast. Very quiet location within easy reach to all of Clyde’s facilities
Gorgeous restored historic hotel - location perfect for Clyde Wine Festival which was the purpose of our stay. Friendly professional staff - had everything we needed.
