The grounds are beautiful!! The views are exceptional! The breakfast was fantastic!! This is the perfect Tuscan location for day trips to various points of interest. The owners were very helpful in answering questions, and even booked a local wine tasting and tour for us. We hope to return to La Piana one day.

Exactly what I imagined Tuscany to be... beautiful scenery, ancient architecture, picturesque old villages and friendly people. You will need a car to get around and the hillside roads can be a bit hair raising but it all adds to the atmosphere. It’s a great place to base yourself for day trips to Lucca, Pisa and Florence but also perfect for quiet days by the pool.

"la piana" was a beautiful place to stay with amazing citrus gardens around. We had a great time relaxing near the swimming pool with a landscape view of the surrounding Tuscan valleys.
