Bolzano is one of those cases that are difficult to describe without risking undermining its beauty and complexity. A witness of the conflicts and renaissance of Europe, this Italian city is the capital of the German speaking province of South Tyrol. Located in the Adige River Valley, it is surrounded by hills crowned by castles, and framed by the Dolomites Alps.
After reaching the local railway station, follow the Bahnhofsallee or Viale della Stazione and you’ll reach Walther Square, where the beautiful Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady is located. The shops along the arcaded street of Via dei Portici will lead you towards the market, located in Goethe Strasse. The display of colourful vegetables and flowers encompasses the beautiful buildings, while some of the best luxury hotels in Bolzano are located nearby.
The city is famous for its Christmas Market, but be aware that most of the hotels in Bolzano get sold out quickly during this time! A stroll around the old residential quarter of Gries and a visit to the many nearby castles is a must.
Whether you arrive at the local Dolomites Airport or the larger Verona Airport, check out the Bolzano accommodation deals on Booking.com before travelling!
Characterful town with interesting shops and restaurants.

It was so much better than we expected.
It was so much better than we expected. Perfect combination between Austrian and Italian culture. You could eat schnitzels ánd pasta in almost every restaurant. Not too touristy (we went in September). Within 15 minutes you could go to the mountains by cable car for little money. The mountains (via Oberbozen for example) were very beautiful, wide and quiet. You could take a 100 year old tram in Oberbozen that went through the little villages up the mountains. 100% coming back! Tip: go by train! It was very accessible, we came from Innsbruck which is only a 2 hr train ride from Bolzano, including breathtaking views.

We loved the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology, the MMM Fermian and the victory monument. Oberon Restaurant was an outstanding Pizza place and the staff are friendly too. We stayed at the Roma Ariston Apartments' and we had a great time there. The mountains around Bolzano were super cool and we highly recommend Bolzano.

Bolzano is very beautiful. The cathedral is simply out of the world and the little roads and side alleys are beautiful. We took a guided tour of the city and could go into mamy pretty courtyards and churches and renovated palaces...

I stopped at St Mary's rooms and apartments, I paid 5 euros for secure parking in their garage. I went down the next morning and found that the luggage panniers on my motorbike had been broken into. Spoilt my time there, as it was supposed to be secure parking, had to spend the rest of my day there at police station sorting it out. Would not recommend this place. Bolzano is a lovely place to visit, but not this accommodation

There was a music festival going on where I could see a lot of people wearing traditional clothing and play music. I also spontaneously visited the theatre which was a good experience. As the city has a moderate size everything is pretty close by. I also enjoyed the variety of food offered which is from typical regional one to italian. I can recommend Humus Bistro and Nussbaumer. And the best is the landscape as Bolzano is surrounded by these huge mountains. I also went to Oberbozen by cable car and did a hike to bee museum Plattner and attended Yoga classes from arise Body & Mind in Yoga room as well as in the park of Mondschein hotel. I also saw a lot of people biking. I can defined imaging to come back and do that next time.
I came to Italy 🇮🇹 and fell in love.
I fell I love with LOOM Hotel
The owners, who were there always and available, left no stone unturned.
Every detail was from design to functionality, and service was carefully constructed. All this was executed with simplistic genuine love

We wanted to eat at the 3 restaurants of our friends downtown Bolzano, In Viaggio, Tree Brasserie and Toma. Because we want to enjoy the wine there it was a perfect spot, only 5 min walk and we were there. It is the only hotel downtown with a good swimmingpool. The young guys and girls in the staff are really friendly and supportive.
The worst experience of my vacation in Italy.
Bed, restroom, carpet, towels, everything was so super dirty, anable to be used. I saw literally what the previous guest had eaten.
The staff didn't answer to mail after I reported the circumstance in the room. At the end of the story, we had to find another place to stay.
On Bolzano’s main square, the hotel is also only a five minute walk away from the train station.
Creative, individual artist design for each single room.
Awesome breakfast, especially the sweet items on offer, and there is breakfast champagne as well.
Great value for money considering its amazing location.
Best option for staying in Bolzano - only hotel that is not horribly overpriced - it is only overpriced :) Lovely receptionist, clean modern room with very nice bathroom, WiFi, cupboard, spare blanket/pillow, underground parking,
I will come again .. for the 7th time I think..
Great value stay in Bolzano! The rooms had an interesting layout but were quite spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Good hotel to stay in for a night or two when travelling through the dolomites. Price is hard to beat!
Great value. Friendly staff, very good breakfast and a relaxing rooftop lounge with a decent pool. Rooms very large and clean. You need a car as the hotel is located 5 min outside of Bolzano in the middle of vineyards. Parking is easy. Overall I would go back any time.
Nice old hotel located next to city center in a quiet, lovely garden. Excellent a la carte breakfast and very good coffee. Nice and helpful stuff.
Beautiful Bolzano old city center is only few steps from the hotel.
Covered parking is located next to the hotel.
The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Bolzano. Perfect for starting your Dolomites exploring. Room was very comfortable, quiet, modern and well equipped. Surrounded by nice restaurants options. Paid parking is nearby and accessible.

The hotel is ideally located in the city center of the beautiful Bolzano.
The building is stunning, the room tastefully decorated, the staff very kind, the breakfast was amazing.
We highly recommend!
The updates and remodeling of this historical hotel are beautiful and on-point. The breakfast provided was delicious. The restaurant experience was delightful. Nice location right outside of Bolzano.
The breakfast was amazing along with the views in the room. If we were staying in Italy longer we would definitely stay here again! A nice place to wind down and away from all the city life stuff.
The location was wonderful, in a beautiful neighborhood. The host, Manuel, was exceptional. He was professional, organized and helpful. He was the best host we had in our 3 weeks in Italy.
New hotel, brand new facility and in the city center of Bolzano. The hotel is family owned and run. The experience was very good, all smooth. Plus, the building is an architectural piece !
Helpful staff, great breakfast, and classy hotel bar. Property was centrally located and a perfect location for exploring Bolzano and the Christmas markets.
