This is a up and coming city and I urge travellers to visit now before it has hordes of tourists. The Albanian people were the friendliest we have ever encounter and I am gushing with praise for this country.

Lots to see and do. Not very disabled friendly, though. Safe and friendly all day and at night. Got bus to bus station (a patch of ground 5 miles from centre) then another bus to wonderful castle and village. If we'd had a couple more days would have got a bus to south and stayed there a bit. Great City, people are so friendly, there is so much history some of it shocking in the way the country and its people suffered due to the country's leadership in not so distant times. The bars and cafe's were numerous and a pleasure to be in with reasonable prices and good customer service

The host was very friendly and helpful, gave me many tips what to do in Tirana as well as other parts of Albania. Location is bit off the centre but busses arrive every 15 minutes or so and stop just in front of the house. In 30 minutes they can take you directly to the city centre. It is in the 5th floor and you have a beautiful view from the balcony (even the sunset). Parking space is provided in a garage. Breakfast was really tasty, large as well. First for 3 days and after some days in other parts of Albania for another last day before my departure. I really liked the shops, restaurants and shopping center around. Everything was within walking distance so I never used a taxi. It is also close to the main bus stop to the airport and has a connection to the bus stop that connects Tirana with other Balkan cities. The personnel was really friendly.

The staff all speak English and Italian. The hotel arranged an airport taxi for us for €20 and there's 24 hours reception. Walking distance to the city centre. Breakfast is across the street, and was fresh with the option of scrambled eggs or an omelette. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go back to Tirana.
