Gede and his family put enormous care in every detail. The house is beautifully done, with big bed with comfortable moskito net, big bathroom, terrasse, water refiller, electric kettle for tea and coffee. The breakfast is delicious and abundant. And it's also possible to ask for dinner, there is only one option usually, but the food is local and were right to trust their kitchen, it was always yummy.
But the best part is the surrounding, amazing hills of rice fields - you don't need to go to Jatiluwih and pay an entrance, here the view is even better!
Scooter rental is also possible, and if you ask Gede can arrange for tours in Rice fields, Tempels or excursion in the nearby forest.

I was supposed to sleep in Munduk but after a bike accident I decided to stop there. By chance, I discovered a beautiful heaven place. There are three different bungalows hidden in the middle of Ricefields with a stunning view on it from the pool. I slept in the 40 m² Bungalow which was super comfort. You feel lost in the middle of nowhere as if the time has stopped.
But even if the place is really nice, what it makes this place magical is its owner! he took care of me as if I was a friend,He cooked me a delicious meal and even a gave me a oil massage on my broken elbow, This guy was probably the most friendliest that I met during my trip

This is such a beautiful hidden place in Bali. Paradise, in the middle of the rice fields. Surrounded by a lot of tropical fruittrees, edible and medicinal plants. Good local food and amzing people ❤️.
This is basic accommodation, but reasonable value for money.
This is basic accommodation, but reasonable value for money. It's immediately across the road from the terraces, and the walking track access.
The owner is a nice guy, and does everything, reception, cleaning, cooking, etc.
The breakfast was basic but tasty, and the Chicken Curry he cooked for me for lunch one of the best I've had in a while.
He has a very friendly dog that followed me everywhere, and enjoyed a pat and tummy rub.

The region of Jatiluwih is known for the beautiful rice fields. You really have to make a tour through these rice fields by walking. We did the bicycle tour, but without electric bike this is not recommended, because of the very hilly course at the end.
We drunk a cup of nice Balinese coffee and ate a delicious pineapple pancake in the village and we noticed that everyone there is nice, helpful and relaxed. We love this place!

Peaceful! Beautiful place for retreat.
Peaceful! Beautiful place for retreat. Plenty of organic fruits to eat. You can laze around and visit places at your own pace. No other mode of transportation than renting a car, though. Would have love to have a local public transport.

Beautiful rice terraces with well-signed walking paths that let you enjoy them thoroughly. There are a number if restaurants with a great view over the rice terraces. I chose the pricier one called Gong Jatiluwih. The food was very nice and the view excellent. The place also has an ATM

Outstanding views of very large rice terrace area.
Outstanding views of very large rice terrace area. Very good walking and cycling on tourist paths around terraces. Could see the well maintained water irrigation systems in action.
Walked up the hill round the corner from the rice terraces to the temple at the top of the villages and then found the trekking path and trekked through the forest to the top of Mount Batakaru that is Bali's second highest mountain.
Area is therefore very good for rice terrace views and mountain trekking.
A hidden gem of a homestay in Bali. Surrounded by a large rice field with a walking trail, this is a perfect option for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature. Was well looked after by such kind and friendly hosts who spent the time to chat in depth with me over dinner and give me tips for my future travels in Bali. I was even able to walk their dog when heading out to the sunset viewpoint! Room was large and spacious and I loved the outdoor bathroom. Stayed for just the 1 night but could have happily stayed for a few nights more
Everything was amazing! The staff are so welcoming, helpful and warm. The food was all freshly prepared with love. The breakfast overnight oats was delicious.
So nice to wake up two mornings in the tranquility of the rice paddies and be able to step in and walk about there.
I had a massage and it was also so great.
The swimming pool was perfect for a dip after trekking the rice paddies. But no need to even go to Jatiluweh as the rice paddies at the hotel are so beautiful
Thanks to Ellen and her team for a beautiful stay.
This is basic accommodation and priced accordingly. The room was clean, bed comfortable, no aircon required in the mountains, but a small pedestal fan was provided. Wifi was fast and reliable with one notable drop out, but that was external to the property, and affected the entire area.
The host cooked a great curry chicken lunch, and breakfast, whilst basic was tasty. I selected Banana Pancakes, with Balic offee, and wasn't disappointed.
It was a cozy place nested in the middle of nature, Ibu Nyoman was so accommodating, they prepared a bed for our driver which not so many places do in Bali, we helped her in cooking, we prepared a very comfy family dinner together, set up the table, in the morning the place was beautiful, the beds were comfy, and the toilets were open to the sky and natural, loved everything, above all the cute kitten kept us entertained all night and day.
This is a very artistic house, with amazing views of the near-by volcanic mountains.
It's a quiet place so bring a book for the sun lounger. The staff prepared an unexpected array of traditional.dishes for dinner which we ate by candle light. They even lit an open fire in the evening. Breakfast was also very nice. We enjoyed their own home grown tea and were given a gift of tea when we left. Very nice people.
The cottages are located in a perfect location, surrounded by the rice terraces. This location is a good escape from busy parts of Bali and a good starting point to visit Jatiluwih, Banyu Wana, Ulun Danu... This is a family owned property, they are extremely kind and provide good breakfast and dinner. The owner can organise a friendly and fun driver, thank you Roi for best day in Bali.
A lovely place hidden 100m from a very quiet main road. Perfect for peace and relaxation. Ibu Nyoman and Pak Gede were tremendous hosts and ibu's evening meals - mainly foraged from the garden - were wonderful. About 20 minutes from the Jatiluwih rice terraces but don't miss a visit to Subak Piak which is not well known but really beautiful.
I finally got a chance to rest. The place is so peaceful. I love the nature surrounding it, the terrace overlooking rice fields with many fireflies visiting at night. The owner, Dewi, is so kind and helpful. And the breakfast was so delicious. True Balinese cuisine. I will definitely come back!
The owner, Dewi, is an amazing woman. So kind, friendly and a wonderful chef. The lodges are basic but everything you need in a place so pure like this place. The property is in the middle of rice terraces and near the jungle. It is so peaceful and beautiful! Would love to come back!
The homestay is well located at the paddy fields in Jatiluwih. Well maintained with good breakfast and delicious dinner.
Especially Putu brought us to many attractions. He was very friendly and helpful.
Those who love natures should stay here... Beautiful sunset at the homestay.
We had a wonderful time at Kubu D’ume! The hosts were so kind and accommodating; they took us on an excursion to the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces as well as a waterfall and a hot spring. One evening they cooked dinner for us using fresh ingredients from the farm, which was delicious.
Adi was an amazing host! He upgraded us to the traditional Balinese hut which had an amazing interior and view to the jungle. everything was clean. We also did trekking tours through the rice fields and up to Batukaru which were a great experience!
The view is amazing of the rice fields! The location is everything and the room is great for the value. It is super close to walk the rice fields, and there are a ton of restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly, and room was well equipped!
Hotel with a great view overlooking the padi terrace. Checkin was brisk. The hotel staff was very helpful with our luggages as there is no lift available; only some steep steps. At night was all peaceful and we had a good sleep.
Beautiful location, amazing view, wonderful staff.
Property is absolutely amazing. The sounds of frogs at night was magical. The morning sunrise over the rice terraces was super cool.
Very quiet location.
The location is wonderful - a cool mountain paradise near one of Bali’s most beautiful temples. The grounds are lovely and the bungalows charming. Adi, the man who does everything, is great!
very nice place for a short stay, clean small rooms surrounded by rice terraces, very nice staff, if you wish, you will be escorted to Jatiluwih, take beautiful photos
