Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling. The reef is very far out and at times the current was very strong. Prices for trips to see the whale sharks were quite expensive at 75 USD. And there were tons of other boats at the same spots - very zoo-like.
Bikini beach, the only beach you can swim at in only your bathing suit is fairly shallow and windy. The better beach beside it requires you to be clothed.
However, the local people are super nice and helpful.

The staff tries to keep it very clean. They are friendly and would help with anything. The food is varied and very rich. The massage therapists are at a very good level. I did not like the markup of goods in the only store. The ratio is ten times.

Firstly to clarify the resort is located in Theluveligaa, not Dhangethi. Theluveligaa is a small island, I was a solo traveller (mid 30s female) the water villa is amazing and the outside space is spacious with a lot of seating options. I hardly spent time on the beach. The resort itself is very quiet even when full. There are no motorised sports however you can kayak, snorkel and dive (you can get your licence there) and do other trips: Whale Sharks, Mantas, Turtles. The food options are good, drinks are expensive a juice will set you back $18 staff are friendly, especially the dive instructors (Julia & Ebu) and receptionist (Maria) I would definitely recommend this resort and felt safe on my own.

Quiet, lovely colourful houses, quite small but surrounded by other islands. Head for the jetty especially at sunset. Two recommended cafes/ restaurants: Compass with its verandah dining tables where you can watch rays and baby nurse sharks being fed at dusk - the maitre d’ - Sampath was charming and obliging and the food was amazing. Try also the Blue Moon Cafe with the equally charming Anup as maitre d’. Not much coral as the island is surrounded by sea grass

A beautiful location. with some good snorkeling, which is provided by "Mother Nature" not the resort.
In all other respects the resort is poor to terrible.
We paid £10,500 for 10 days A.I.P; party of 4 in two poorly maintained Jacuzzi water villas. (Not a Jacuzzi- brand name - a Sovereign Spa Hot tub.)
Some services offered simply don't work, and management are fully aware of this but continue to advertise.
Guests are treated with disdain and rudeness by client relations team/management who are not visible.
Included trips - Sunset Punch / Dhangethi are an excuse to try and take some more cash from their guests.
They offer only excuses...."we are on an island so it is difficult to.....(insert complaint here)"
"All Inclusive MInus" is a better description of their package.
Got much better service, food, accommodation and customer care in Mauritius/Zanzibar/Thailand/Florida/Dubai/Turkey/Madeira/Cyprus/ Marakech etc etc.

The great place to just relax and do nothing.
The great place to just relax and do nothing. Its a small island so don't expect very busy night life. But the beach is great, local snorkeling and diving is great. Local people are great. So a must see location.
Even though we missed our connecting flight and arrived later than announced in Malé, we were welcomed by a staff member of the hotel who took care of the seaplane transfer and everything worked out smoothly.
Staff always very attentive and friendly.
Room very clean, nothing to complain about.
Well-organized snorkeling and diving trips, be sure to book in advance as they are very popular.
Restaurant very good, great offer/variety for breakfast, lunch as well as dinner.
Absolutely stunning house reef for snorkeling
The perfect place if you are looking for a thoughtful, honest and caring host! Tholal made sure we saw everything we wanted to see while in Dhangethi (whalesharks, mantas, eagle rays, reef sharks, corals, and the list goes on). Plus he recorded all of our underwater adventures and thanks to him we now have digital forever memories. Breakfast is really good and it is served right on the beach. Free snorkeling and laundry! Also, you can use the kitchen. Spacious rooms. Do not hesitate to book!!
First I have to say, Thank you to Areef and family. I traveled alone and they treated me absolutely wonderful!
Sky View is a little Boutique Guesthouse, with a lovely little garden area and a swing.
The room was perfect and clean. Sky view is in the perfect area for a “quiet and comfy” vacation. Dhangethi is great island to be. Furthermore the food is local and very delicious.
Areef the host can help you with anything. Excursions, diving and everything. I definitely recommend.
This hotel is amazing not just it's facilities but it's surroundings. The water is so clear you can see many type of fiches and sea animals as sharks, mantas, needle fish and so on. The people is lovely, and I want to say that thanks to the hospitality of Shamak from relationship staff, Adam from House keeping and Paulo from buffet everything was lovely.
The rooms are gorgeous! And all has amazing views. Food is unbelievable. Definitely my best hotel
A Pick-up service from the harbour to the hotel and a welcoming drink was waiting for me there when i arrived in Dhangethi! Very relaxed and friendly people, they will help you with everything. The garden inside ist just amazing with lots of different colourful plants and a calm atmosphere. My room was clean, spacious, A/C with a huge bathroom and hot water. Walls are very thin. I had a great time there! I can recommend to stay in Manta Dhangheti.
You have to book this resort. Seriously. You don‘t often find a hotel where absolutely everybody is trying their best to make your stay an unforgettable one and to make you feel at home far away from home. Nova is one of these places. The island is beautiful, the facilities are great and the staff is simply amazing. We would like to especially thank Chef James & Heidi, Chompy, Muneeb, Shumais, Chef Ali and Ali Anwar 🙏🏼
10/10 !
I chose this hotel based on the ratings of the house reef. I saw over 60 of the nearly 300 fish species in this area. It was great to be able to go into the sea directly from my water villa. The spa treatments were excellent, and it was very relaxing to watch the fish through the glass window in the floor during the treatment session. The waiter service provided by Mr Meezad was excellent. The room was spacious and clean.
The manager Osny and his team were very attentive to ensuring that our stay was pleasant. Banyan Villa is very quiet with its garden and food was very good. We enjoyed our holidays in the authentic village Dhangethi and our dives with South Ari dive were great. We’ve seen whale shark, eagle rays, manta ray, dolphins, etc. thanks to Shaaley, Dan and the while team
All the staff are very friendly, they helped us to book the speedboat. They organized some tours like fishing in the afternoon, whale shark and manta trip. It was really amazing! We did a bbq on the beach with them , spending a good time! We recommend them 100%. They have also watersports , so it is so easy to do many things in Dhangethi!
Mr. Areef was absolutely amazing! He was like our man on the island, taking us to places, receiving us, giving a tour of the island, telling us and doing whatever you ask for! He even helped us take our luggage to our next hotel and transport us there. Totally trustworthy! We couldn't ask for more! Absolutely recommended!
We had the best stay at Antares Dhangethi.
This place is Home away from Home and We highly recommend it.
Maldinvian hospitality at its best.
AD is placed right at the Beach - Rooms are Nice and clean.
The staff is extreamly helpfull and went above and beyond for us.
Thank you ❤️
Lot of activities like snorkeling, diving, close to restaurants, shops and also to Bikini Beach. The owner was really kind and helpful. The room was good, comfortable bed, free coffee and water. That was a great stay in Dhangethi Inn Hotel.
The overall experience was great for our family. The hotel is in middle of the island right next to the jetty. The room was spaious and facilities were good enough. The hotel also provided bonuses as snorkeling equipment, etc.
Oh it was really perfect stay. Great location to just relax. Guys there are truly amazing and helpful. Eager to help. While I was staying the hotel was new and alive. I certainly can recommend to stay here.
Everything.
Staff was awesome.
Keep in mind Maldives one island 1 hotel. No 71 or convenience stores so pack smart. Alcohol is available at very reasonable prices.
Wonderful island with great beach
Rooms were very nice and the hosts were friendly and helpful
You could hear the nearby mosques from the hotel which was beautiful
