Celestial All Suites, hotel in Kefallonia

Situated in Kefallonia, 400 metres from Trapezaki Beach, Celestial All Suites features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a terrace.

Great hotel.. AMAZING pool.. location a little out of the way... but if you do like a walk, there is an amazing locals beach about 30 mins walk away.. St Thomas' Beach. One thing to note is that rooms 601 and 602 are accessible rooms.. we were originally put in one of those... they don't have forest views.. it looks over the entrance driveway of hotel... and the bathroom is a wet room that floods... so unless you require an accessible I would not accept that room... thankfully were moved after one night and they refunded half the cost of the room via our expendables in the hotel. Brilliant restaurant close by called Denis... food really awesome and reasonable.

Modern Apartment 10mins from the Beach, hotel in Kefallonia

Situated in Agia Eirini Village of Kefallonia, Modern Apartment 10mins from the Beach offers self-catered accommodation with mountain views, a garden and a shaded patio. Free WiFi is provided.

We had a great stay at this place! It was quiet, clean, and had great facilities. Although not meeting in person, we had continuous communication with our host Costas over WhatsApp, giving us recommendations for places to visit and answering on questions. Also Costas allowed us to charge our electric car by paying for our kWh consumption. It gave a good safety for us to be able to charge overnight, complementing charging from eg the EV Loader service across Kefalonia.

Everything is great about this villa. The villa is located on the mountain, you get no sea viea but mountain view. The place is in a quite area. Every room is equipped with ac. The owner Stella and her mother are helpful and lovely people. I would definitely come again. One important thing, you need to a car to get there.

First visit and wish I’d picked this destination before.

First visit and wish I’d picked this destination before. Beautiful island with great beaches and very friendly people. I can recommend going in October if you want a relaxed peaceful time, but still with good weather (26 to 28 degrees). Some of the boat trips weren’t running but you can also do more yourself when the sun isn’t at full summer strength. Will definitely go again at this time of the year

Kefallonia is a lovely to visit.

Kefallonia is a lovely to visit. I would recommend hiring a car, preferably a small one as, when you come off the main roads, the roads are very narrow and mountainous. It is very peaceful, and going towards the end of the season, there weren't too many tourists. The weather was perfect - still warm at 27C, but not scorching. We visited Myrtos beach, getting there fairly early, so not many people around. By the time we left, quite a few people had arrived. Road up and down to this beach is narrow. There are toilets there, and a place to buy food. We visited Melissani Cave, which was nice, but the boat trip only lasts about 10 minutes. It was pretty to see. We went on to the fishing village of Assoss. This was very picturesque, and pleasant to wander around. Also spent a couple of hours in Argostoli and spotted quite a few turtles.

This island is magical. It is very nice for families. The beaches are amazing. The villages are beautiful. It was the first time that routes with the car were not tiresome. Nature is so beautiful that you can drive all day watching the mountains and the villages.

We (a fit rel middle aged couple) very much enjoyed our hike on Mount Ainos (1620m high) from where the view is extraordinary. We also particularly enjoyed the caves near Sami. We had hired a car which allowed us to get around easily. But the island is very mountainous and the roads are mountain roads!

We travelled to Kefalonia and stayed in the resort of Pessada at a very nice two bedroom villa called Villa Ida in August. This was a family break ,but for the first week my wife and i were at the villa alone ,celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, waiting for our son and his girlfriend to flyout and join us for our second week. Kefalonia is a beautiful island and well worth exploring,it balances tourism and a traditional culture very well and remains to be spoilt. We have stayed here before and have been to other islands, but keep returning as it suits our needs. I recommend booking a hire car up before you arrive,as its the best way to explore this island. When my son was younger we used to stay in Lassi(which has everything we needed with a young child)and did`nt require a hire car as we did`nt need to explore that much. We are now middle-aged and like things abit quieter. This does`nt mean there is a teenager/drunken nightclub scene to the island(far from it)but its more an island to chill and relax at. I hope whomever reads this falls in love with beautiful as we did 20 years ago.

    Kefalonia is a hidden jewel.

Kefalonia is a hidden jewel. The beaches are both spectacular to look at as well as swim in. The island has so much variety and beauty and activities for everyone. It's not just a place for beach lovers. Hiking up to the top of the mountain is well worth the effort. There are amazing views even if you don't want to go all the way to the top. The island is small enough that from a central location, you can plan day trips to anywhere and be back home without exhausting yourself, yet large enough that you can do something different every day. You can go to a different beach or part of the island every day for two weeks and still not have time to see everything, leaving more secrets to disover for the next time. I have been coming for years and am still finding new things each time I visit.
