We went to Lehighton to see REO Speedwagon at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe. It was a very nice place to see a show. Spent a day walking around Jim Thorpe which was nice since it was Christmas time. We ate at PJ Whelihan's in Lehighton one night and Molly McGuire's in Jim Thorpe the 2nd night. Both were excellent. The two nights there were nice but would have run out of things to do if we stayed any longer.

The town is older but very beautiful in the fall, with the colorful leaves and the Lehigh river that flows through it. It is easy to get around ( not a lot of traffic or congestion. All the big box stores and fast food restaurants are here for those that are used to having them to run to !

Great location for central Poconos.
Great location for central Poconos. Easy access, maybe 10 minutes, to Jim Thorpe then head opposite way on 209 to visit Stroudsburg and Bushkill Falls. Scenic drive and never need to get back on turnpike or interstate.
The Asa Packer museum is demonstration of beauty, worth visiting for sure.

It is a large area that comes under the name "Lehighton."
It is a large area that comes under the name "Lehighton." We found several nice places to eat and "the biggest general store in the world." Also and 8 theater cinema. Very convenient to Jim Thorpe without the high prices.
First, I really like the swimming pool and the hot tub! Yeah they have hot tub, and the opening time is from 6am to 12am,which means I could go to swim at almost any time I awake. Perfect. There are so many times when I wanted to go to swim and the swimming pool is closed.
Second, the room is clean, and they even have a big table and a smaller one. I have lots of stuffs so I would say this is really nice for me.
Third, there is a river close to the hotel and you can walk down to the water’s edge. Nice landscape.
During my recent stay at the hotel, I experienced exceptional cleanliness and a cozy atmosphere. The affordability was a pleasant surprise, and its proximity to the Blue Mountains added to its appeal. The highlight was the amazing swimming pool, and the consistently great breakfast made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff's attentive service added a positive touch, creating a memorable and comfortable experience.
Very close to the highway so easy to get to location that was right near Lehighton and Jim Thorpe.
The outside fire 🔥 table was very nice especially on the cold night it allowed to be able to be outside and nice to talk with other guests by the fire.
The indoor pool and hot tub area was very nice as well.
everything detail was absolutely fantastic loved the country coziness of this hotel clean hotel remodeled pool looked so inviting breakfast was fabulous wished I had more time to stay will return again sorry I didn’t take pictures but resort hotel pictures are perfectly for location photos
It was great that they offered breakfast food even if we didn't use that service. The rooms were so nice...clean, roomy, convenient and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Mahoning Inn to family and friends.
