The room and ensuite were comfortable. The lobby staff were pleasant. The location (Taos) is wonderful - literally.
Nestled in Taos, New Mexico's historic district, this historic inn was built in the 1880s.

Charming small hacienda style hotel in Taos. Walking distance to the Plaza and museums. Morning coffee on the front porch was very nice. Friendly, clean, and comfortable.

The drive up from Santa Fe and the view of the Rio Grande gorge was exquisite. The church of San Francisco de Asis is a beautiful example of Spanish Mission style adobe churches and the people of the community are wonderful, welcoming, and pleasant. Five Star burgers had great food and a good selection of local beers.

The staff is excellent. Room was charming and comfortable.
The staff is excellent. Room was charming and comfortable. Well, maintained. The breakfast is one of the best we've ever had. They had tamales! The salsa was fresh and tasty. Cookies chips and salsa in the afternoon in the lobby. On site laundry. Taos is easy to get around and they have an excellent public library.

Taos is currently working on their Plaza.
Taos is currently working on their Plaza. I’m looking forward to that project being completed. Around the Plaza the Gorge and the Alley Cantina are both great places to eat and drink. The trip to Rancho de Taos is mandatory. Not only for the beautiful church but for the restaurant in the plaza behind the church. The Ranchos Plaza Grill is fantastic!! Their hours are kinda weird so check before going.

Slightly too touristy for my liking, but with some lovely walks when you drive to them; well worth to go to the Rio GRande gorge walks and also see the bridge and walk across it; Taos pueblo is always worth a visit and to do a tour there; this time we did the enchanted circle drive, very stunnng scenery.
Taos centre is ok for a coffee, but I would avoid it mainly
Super adorable concept - I'm so glad that I found it before I booked a traditional hotel! The campers each had their own personality, and it was an added bonus that they have a fully functioning kitchen inside. I was pretty bummed by limited the opportunities for fun were in Taos (I guess due to COVID? but it really didn't seem to have much even if everything were open), so I went to the grocery store, got some food and drinks, and made a night of it in my camper. What an experience!
Fantastic King room with a California King sized bed, TV and fireplace. Tasty and warm breakfast included compliments of Bob. Out in the country, but still close enough to enjoy Taos; with animals that make it feel like a real home: "Scout" the dog, "Mimi" the sweet, affectionate cat and various chickens will make you feel welcome and special. Nice sitting areas off the back of the hotel with country views and chickens and Scout the dog running around.
This inn is definitely one of a kind, all the rooms are individually decorated with antiques and works of art. We stayed in the Santiago room which has a Spanish theme. Although the inn is only a few minutes walk from Taos Plaza it is very quiet and parking on site is easy. Breakfast is only available at weekends but is delicious with a variety of cold items and a hot meal.
what a delight! totally surreal, but functional too.
I found hotel Luna mystica on TripAdvisor, wasn’t planning on staying overnight in Taos but couldn’t pass this up. incredibly unique experience to sleep in a very comfortable retro camper. after a day of exploring it was lovely to sit at a campfire and stargaze.
Although Taos lost power, the owner kept us informed on when it might return. Snacks were put out during the time. The lodge is an eclectic sort of place that allows a really personal experience, not like a sterile hotel. The breakfast was excellent each day.
The location was amazing, right in center of town square. Our room was on second floor in the back corner so it was quiet. There is a small cafe in lobby that had amazing coffee and baked goods. I did not want to leave this hotel or Taos! So magical!
Comfortable. Beautiful. Relaxing. Casa Benavides exceeded our expectations, and was our favorite hotel on our 60 days cross country road trip. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Taos.
This was our bone of contention…. everything about the hotel was great except the breakfast. The room was enticing, the food and the service were very, very poor. There was no value for money at all.
