Postira is all the beauty of Croatia minus the mass tourism.
Postira is all the beauty of Croatia minus the mass tourism. The people are extremely friendly and it has great beaches and lovely bars. The water on this side of the island is warmer than the opposite site.

Postira is a very quiet village about 15 minutes by Uber from Supetar where the ferries to Split are plentiful. By around 11pm the bars and restaurants close, so its the perfect place for a relaxing stay. The pebble beaches around the riva are very accessible. Two small supermarkets and lots of lovely walks around the village. The sandy Lovrecina beach is around 10 minutes by local taxi (100 kuna each way).

A beautiful small traditional town with a handful of bars and restaurants. Great for boat trips to other towns or places of interest.
10 - 15 mins by car to Supetar (ferry to split), 40 - 50 mins to Bol if you want to visit Zlatini Rat beach.
We walked to Lovrecina Bay which took about an hour and is approximately 4 miles. It’s a lovely walk past a couple of quieter bays although hard work in 32 degree heat! I would recommend one of the smaller quieter bays rather than Lovrecina as the sand wasn’t too nice and was really busy. We stopped for a drink before heading back to the other bay for a much needed dip in the Adriatic!
The newly opened VIEW Hotel somewhat spoils the look and character of Postira in my opinion.

Small town with only few places to eat and go shopping; quiet and slowly.
At least 4 appointed beaches offered space to take water and sub bathing. Konoba Gustirna - fully recommendation for meat, fish and seafood.
Pizzeria Galija - pizzas taste like in Italy.
Easy moving within the town; everything just at your fingertips.
The only negative comes from torist from cruise ships that visit the town regularly. They overcrowd the small beaches and bring much noise on the only promenade.

Postira is a nice, little town where time flows slowly.
Postira is a nice, little town where time flows slowly. Amazingly crystal clear and calm water (especially in the morning) and cloudless sky make it a perfect place for tourists seeking sun bathing and swimmers/triathlonists.
Windy weather in the afternoon makes it a place for wind surfers and kite surfers.
If you want to unwind, charge up your batteries then this is the place for you.

Postira makes a not just a pleasant stay as a small and cozy town, but also a great travel destination across the whole island as it is conveniently connected with some other small and picturesque places with some great beaches (Pučišča, Splitska and to the south through Škrip and Nerežišća to Milna or the other side to Summartin, Poviljá or Bol).
It's also not far from a very interesting valley of the village of Dol with some great food and wine (don't miss Konoba Toni!).
I strongly recommend it for cycling enthusiasts. I cycled all of Brač again (3 years earlier we stayed in Sutivan) and have to admit that Postira offers some amazing cycling options and let me access any part of the island (in loops from 40 to >100 km). Having cycled literally the whole of Brač made me even more confident that the choice we had made was the best!
Nice and quiet hotel with only 28 rooms. Buffet breakfast is served 7:30 - 10am and I can’t recall it being overly busy each day we ate. There’s a good selection of cereals, juices, breads etc as well as the usual cheeses and different meats. There’s also a selection of hot items or you can ask for omelettes and gluten free bread if you’re coeliac like my wife!.
The location was fantastic, right on the waterfront. Possibly one of the best balcony views I can remember. :-)
Villa Broc is a fabulous place and the hosts simply wonderful. The villa is nestled into the hills of an organic olive farm with views down to the sea. The hosts have built it themselves over the past four years and everything has been thought through beautifully. It's great for a family and the heated pool is wonderful. The hosts collected us from the ferry as we travelled to Brac without a car and we'd regularly find produce for us when we came home.
A nice family hotel at the beach, clean, spacious room, ideal place for a quite vacation. Dinner a la carte at the restaurant also delicious. Nearby is everything required, like tobacco shop, grocery store, pharmacy and a few nice restaurants you can eat well or drink a wine. Wi-fi in the room could be better and it would be nice to have an opportunity to make a cofee in the room.
The apartment was very spacious and clean. The beds were super comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. The pool and area are very nice with e beautiful sea view. The beach is only a quick 2 minute walk down the hill. Also the town is a 10 minute walk with lovely restaurants and bars. The owners are super nice and very helpful. It was a perfect stay at Postira.
Kindness of the host - tips for stay, shopping, gastronomy and local attractions; comfort of the apartment - cleannes, outfitting in good condition, efficient air-conditioning, big terrace and separate kitchen with full equipment; parking space shielded from sun, close to the beach, close to Studenac market and to a very good konoba. Silent place in centre of Postira.
I’m not sure if we chose Postira or if Postira chose us, but so glad we stayed here and at this amazing Villa. The host family were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. we stayed as a family of 4 at the height of summer and loved the pool, the location, sunsets and calm of the surrounding olive fields. My only regret is we didn’t stay longer.
The hosts were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. The apartments have a great view over Postira and the town is a short walk away. The apartment had everything we needed including a washing machine which was so useful. The pool is great and the animals were an added bonus. Definitely recommended!
We had great time on family vacation with small kid.
Nice beach is really close, bed is comfy and terrace was amazing.
There is outdoor electric grill on terrace, so we dined with this great view.
We also chilled on it in the evening with some good wines from Brač and sounds of nature.
The host is very friendly and helpful. The house is very clean and big. Very good location, big and beautiful terrace. House is beautiful and has everything I needed. Good price for good house. Postira is nice place to enjoy holidays and has good bus connection.
We had a big room overlooking the harbour, with a balcony. Very comfortable bed and facilities. Delicious breakfast and evening meal. I would definitely stay here again. The parking is free just behind the hotel and the swimming pool is a great bonus.
While the hotel was large, still, it was divided in such a way that it was easy to get where I wanted to go. I went to the restaurant and to the beach. It is a lovely hotel. The food is very good and I think it is a good value. Thank you.
very nice location with private access to an amazing beach, walking distance to the lovely village of postira, very beautiful view and spacious villa, Dani, who was taking care of the property was very nice and helpful
The view from all areas of the hotel and the balconies in the room are great. Most of the staff was nice and tried hard but they just don’t have the experience needed to deliver a 4-star stay.
Hidden in nature yet close to Postira, the property offers a somewhat Robinson experience for those into it. Exceptional in every way. The hosts were caring and helpful.
