Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too...
Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too big. It offers an amazing value for travelers since it has great bars, cafes and restaurants at a very reasonable price. It has something for everyone, history, culture, shopping, cuisine. There are some luxury places and some cheap (yet very good) places. In the summer also offers easily accessible beaches.

A great city!
A great city! The old town is beautiful and the views of the city are amazing! The center is easily walkable and the shops combine both big chains as well as small local shops, so everyone can find what they are looking for. There are a myriad of options for coffee or food. We had the best fish in Kavala! Lastly, the beaches were by far the best in Northern Greece, with fine sand and crystal clear waters! All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning. An interesting piece of history. Variety of shops, delicious food, fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday there is a large market in the city with agricultural products of producers from the region. Parking problems. Not enough parking spaces. There are only three paid parking lots in the central part. One of them is by the port, which is quite far from the city center.TsenkaBulgaria

The house was equipped with everything we may ever need and had a lovely terrace to relax and enjoy some quality time together. Very close to shops and the beach and extremely clean. The house is up a hill, however, so it may not be the best for people with mobility issues as the route is quite steep. We had access to lovely beaches and Kavala was beautiful. Would highly recommend staying in Alcmene's house!

The room was clean and we were able to use the air conditioning for heating - we stayed in Kavala in April, so it was a bit chilly. Free parking was offered by the hotel, so that was a nice bonus. Tavernas and shops are nearby at a walking distance. The host is super friendly and answers all your requests. He recommended us the best taverna! The balcony is just above the sea and the view..... the view is just breathtaking! It's definitely one of the best places we've been in Greece. I highly recommend it. The apartment has everything needed for a comfortable long or short term stay. Nicely decorated and very clean. Plenty of room for a family with kids and a full kitchen to prepare meals. We highly recommend this apartment!

Very good sleeping, no noise during the night. Church bells wakes me each morning, what I liked a lot. Always free parking on the street.
