Meson de Sancho is an amazing place where you feel at home. And the staff, well they’re not staff because they treat you as one of the family too. And the food? To die for. Best experience ever.
Dating from 1850, this renovated mansion is in a pedestrian square in Tarifa’s Old Town, 600 metres from the beach. Bright rooms have free Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchenette and sea views.

Right in the middle of the old time. However, if you're not partying, it can get loud at night, especially Saturday night.

The hotel was lovely and very chilled the room was beautiful we had a double bed more like a queen bed it was huge. The town centre was a 20 minute walk from the hotel. (Women- do not wear heels as the streets are cobbled and very hard to walk on with heels)

Tarifa is a coastal town in Andalusia, popular with windsurfers and kitesurfers thanks to its long sandy beaches, crystal blue waters and windy conditions. This adored Spanish destination will impress you with its lush greenery, untouched coastline and golden sand dunes.
The small fishing town of Tarifa features narrow cobbled streets, traditional white Mediterranean houses and local tapas bars. Built in 960 AD, the historic Castle of Tarifa is a monument with interesting architecture, along with the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia and the 16th-century Gothic church of St. Matthew.
Tarifa is home to incredible beaches like Playa Valdevaqueros, the relaxing Playa Rio Jara and Playa Chica. Travellers can go for shopping in the vibrant Calle Sancho IV El Bravo or take the ferry to the Moroccan port of Tanger.
Situated 42 km away, Gibraltar International Airport has flights to London and Birmingham. Malaga Airport is about a 1.5-hour drive away and connects Tarifa with major destinations like Paris, Amsterdam, Montreal and Helsinki.
Booking.com will help you find the right hotel, guest house, apartment or holiday parks in Tarifa or the nearby cities of Zahara de los Atunes, Algeciras and Barbate.
Tarifa has one of the best beaches I've been to. Large, with fine sand, clean and easy entry into the water. Due to the winds, the area is good for water sports (kite surfing, etc), not so much for swimming, due to the waves. Good position to watch the sun set into the sea.
Great place to chill at a bar nearby the beach, eat ice cream, have dinner.
Tarifa is also very close to Morocco, a short ferry ride away from Tangier. Highly recommend the trip if you have the opportunity.

Great little town, the beach full of kite surfers when we arrived & was a sight to see. Very sweet small old town, clean, cute shops, excellent eateries including Powerhouse bakery & dinner at Axta- superb! Very walkable, views for sunset over the sea, Morocco in the distance. Low key in feb & most enjoyable.

Tarifa is a very unique place with a super relaxed and good vibe. If you want to explore the coast line it's a great base, easy to park cars outside the old town walls. There are various dunes and historic sites to visit within 1 hour of the city as well as view points from various locations with unbeatable views of the coastline and seeing Morocco which is pretty special. For eating, there is an amazing Italian Restaurant highly recommended called La Trattoria. I am Italian and the pasta was very good quality for Spain. There are also lovely restaurants beyond the port along the beach and in the area just outside the old town walls towards this direction. It is easy to walk around the city and there is plenty of shopping in boutique shops as well as surfer/sports shops. Huge amount of water sports activities on offer too.

Nice beach and awesome kite boarders to watch.
Nice beach and awesome kite boarders to watch. Pretty shops and a good walking town, cool places along the beach for a drink or to eat. Ferry terminal in the town. Lots of bars and restaurants. The town has a cool beachy vibe.
The property was in a great location to explore Tarifa, the coastal sights , and the world class kiteboarding at local beaches. The property itself was well designed and very comfortable and safe. Free parking on site was great. The restaurant was very comfortable and convenient. The menu was inexpensive and had choices of excellent food served by a friendly staff and the hostess couple were fabulous with making us feel welcome, meeting our every need, and providing tips on what to see. I highly recommend a stay at Banti!
Slight mix up with the check in, but sorted. If you have a car and arrive with no parking spots, just wait as plenty will appear, after a short time we got a spot right outside.
Apartment is in the best location, a couple of minutes away you go through the arch to the old town and everything you need is there.
Room is small and some work needs completed on the bathroom door, otherwise very, comfortable and clean.
Where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.🌊🌊
This beautifully designed boutique hotel was a such a pleasure for my stay. The highly curated decor of unique modern whimsical pieces, blended with period pieces, were the concept of Veronique, the fantastic and hospitable owner. The bed and linens were plush and comfortable for a restful sleep. The hotel was situated in the perfect location with access to everything by foot.
The Hotel is so lovely, decoration is amazing! The room was so big and the bed so comfortable, we slept good. The breakfast is great (a lot of options, fresh food). Wellness area is small but lovely and the swimming pool area is amazing, big and always clean. Good situation, close to the beach, Mercadona in front of the hotel and nice walk to Tarifa Town (few minutes driving).
The Riad is a beautiful Hotel ...in a great location in the old town. All the staff were very helpful especially the Manager Serafin who took care of us on our arrival. We were celebrating my sisters 60th birthday and was kindly given a complimentary bottle of Cava. Lovely place for a special occasion! Thank you!
Room was very clean, spacious, and new-looking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to old Town and walkable distance to Port and also to bus station. Very nice place! Tarifa has enough sites of interest to occupy a few days, even if you're not into kite surfing. It is very windy!
Amazing appartement, clean and spacious, location really close to the beach, nice swimming pool, easy parking, good communication with the host, easy check-in and check-out, great local tips to do in town. A 15 minute walk to the old town of Tarifa and easy drive to go to the beaches were you can kitesurf.
This was our second stay here, and we will gladly stay here again. A very good, no-frills, self-service hotel ideally located in the old part of Tarifa. Top floor has roof terraces overlooking a busy square with good restaurants, but without the ambient noise one might expect. Good a/c.
Beautiful surprise in downtown (port) tarifa! Hotel is designed impeccably, it is extremely cosy and comfortable, so elegant, from dining room, courtyard and spa, to the rooftop pool with cushioned bottom 😉. Wonderful experience, thanks!
We stayed in Eole Tarifa Apartment for 3 nights in April 2024. It is an authentic place in a historic house, very large and nicely furnished with local decorations. It has great location in Tarifa old town, with cool atmosphere.
Fabulous apartment in a very convenient location in the old town right by the Port (which is where we parked the car). I would recommend this property and we will definitely be booking again for another visit to Tarifa.
The location was close to Port tarifa and to all the restaurants and shops in old town.
This is a person less hotel, so the codes for the front door and room where sent to us electronically.
Wonderful little boutique hotel. Room was impeccably decorated, the location was fantastic within the old town. The municipal parking was close by and free at the time we went.
Lovely apartment in a great location, walk to old town or the beach. The rooftop pool was a wonderful bonus! Very friendly host - easy to communicate with.
