The price is reasonable for a pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago. The facilities are good for the price. The location is good too. You can find restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance.

Hostel was great, situated in city center. We felt like home, because there was everything we needed.

Our room was clean. We were offered a small room with a balcony facing the street for an extra fee, which - at the end - was, actually, not worth it.
Located 6 km from Redondela and set on the Portuguese Camino de Santiago Coastal Pilgrimage Route, Bahia de Chapela features free WiFi and a restaurant with sea views.
The visitors center was a pleasant experience. We were given a map of the town and the top sites to see if you had the time. We walked through their main park and had hoped to walk to the beach that was one of their top attractions. Beautiful plants and birds nested in the marsh areas, and even though we didn't walk far enough to get to the beach we loved the nature that was there at the inlet.

The only thing that disappointed me in Redondela, was a nearby restaurant "Casa Chano Restaurante". My son and I were very hungry and we were hoping for a "Pilgrim Menu". We walked in this restaurant and we were bowled over by the impeccable service. The lady even brought us complimentary empanadas. It seemed that two of the waiters spoke English. I was going for a fish dish that was under 15 Euros and my son had calamari that was reasonable. Well, they were out of the fish, so I pointed to a meat item. The large portion for a group is 35 Euro. The waiter said that I could have an individual portion for 12.50 euro. I was fine with that. We each had a beer and a flan for a dessert. I wanted to pay the bill so I gave my credit card and I was so pleased with the service that I gave $15 American dollars for a tip. One of the waiters who spoke English ran my card and it was not until I got back to my room that I had noticed that the bill was for 58 Euros. I was charged 35 Euros for the meat dish. I was flabbergasted as we were on a limited budget. I really felt it was only one person there because everyone else was exceptional. However, it did leave a sour taste.

The layout was odd and I think with a little renovation/reallocation of resources this could be a better place to stay. Many guestrooms and one bathroom, no sink in the breakfast area etc.

The hosts were absolutely fantastic and the house has a lot of charm. The place is shiny and it is fully equipped with everything one could possibly need for a 1 day-3/4 weeks stay. Location is right at the heart of the historical centre. Host also shared useful tips to eat and drink nearby.
Gracias!

The woman at the information bureau was excellent- nicest person we have met so far, very kind. Made phone calls to help us out because we can’t speak Spanish and she was happy to find out for us. Interesting town.
This was one of the nicest places I stayed while walking the camino from Lisbon. Don't let the photo of a weird gold couch put you off! My room/apartment on the second floor was spacious and very comfortable, with two full-length windows with balconies that looked out on the street and a small square. Very quiet at night. I had difficulty with the heater, and the hotel receptionist went to great lengths to figure it out for me.
Attractive room in a newish building, right on the Camino of Satiago. Service was great and it was quiet at night. Our bed was a fold-out, which was okay but not ideal. No food in the hotel, but our room had a kitchen and eating area. We enjoyed Redondela as a stop on the Camino; it has a rich industrial history as a textile town, good restaurants and an attractive river-front. We liked the Alvear Suites a lot.
Nice hotel with restaurant. Small room with little bathtub. Self-laundromat is 15 min away. Several supermarkets nearby; one of them opens very late 2am(?) at 25 min away. Bus stop to Redondela is 5 min away. If you follow the coastline, it is right on the Camino trail. The restaurant opens for dinner between 8:15pm and 10pm, very strict. I loved the ocean view!!!
Everything was great and in order during our booking and stay. Fabiola was a fabulous host - prompt and knows what her clients needs. The use of their washing machine and dryer was super helpful! The location was after the main town, but it was an advantage the next day when we continued to Pontevedra as the Camino route is also along the way.
I was walking the Camino. Loved that it was in the countryside. Outside of Redondela about 40 mins walk …..perfect for the next days hike. The owner was there and very helpful. ….beer and wine and snacks for sale at the property. 300 year old building that has been tastefully renovated.
Angel and his wife Isabella were totally the best hosts! They treated us to homemade tortillas and local beers after a long trek from Vigo. Their friendliness and hospitality extended beyond our stay when the next morning he dropped us at our starting point again!
This is a nice large 3 bedroom flat in Redondela. We only stayed one night, I thought it was nicely cleaned and in a good location especially for the Camino. The kitchen was good and the use of the washing machine and somewhere to hang your clothes was excellent.
More like a boutique hotel than a hostel. The breakfast was exceptional, like a feast. The owner is charming and rightly proud of his establishment. Gloria, who prepared the breakfast feast is a warm, kind, and happy person. I did not want to leave!
There were no campsites in the area so I booked this place, great staff, served me a dinner with beer. The place was v comfortable and good value. If you're a hiker or biker this place is excellent and so.much cheaper than the local hotels.
The location was great and close to all shops and restaurants. The room was clean and tidy. I thought I lost my headphones but the cleaning lady at the hotel found them and the hotel were kind enough to post them to me in London.
Beautiful rooms, everything was super clean, lots of places to put your stuff in the room and bathroom (this is often missing in Hotels), great little wardrobe stand in room to organise your things, really comfortable beds
Loved it. location worth the 7e taxi from the city centre. Easy to access the Camino if you don’t mind ti pick it up couple of km ahead. lovely walk from the Hotel to join the others.
See food fresh and very good.
Everything!! this is the cleanest Alburgue is Redondela!! The Staff was Exceptional, we even received specialized Coffee!
My highest recommendation for a Fabulous place to rest!
This was the best day of my Camino, so far. It’s a nicely appointed hotel and a fantastic location. The staff was very welcoming to facilities were just what I had hoped for.
The place is spot on the Camino and very well located in Redondela. The lady who runs the place is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The price is also very good.
