This small hotel is Cosy and clean. It's in the best location of the city, easy to get around by local taxis. Amazing restaurants around too. It's not far away from the Medina, which is amazing! The best part was the food. I give that 5 star! Moroccan breakfast, large portions with great selections. One more thing, we booked and went in to check in immediately, they were so accommodating they let us check in earlier!

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. The guy on reception and his colleague were super nice and helpful. They recommended a restaurant for dinner (Black Pepper) which was also pretty good. The reception manager put me in a cab to take me there - nothing was too much trouble. Good job!

This is a fabulous Riad in Meknes. Stunningly beautiful behind a huge wooden door. Amazing terrace views, where we ate a delicious breakfast. Being a Riad location is spot on.

Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that the whole of Meknes is a building site! While there is a lot of renovation going on, there are still marvelous things to see and do. The medina is very interesting and comes with very little hassling. Its worth taking a day trip - or longer - to the mid Atlas mountains.

I didn't enjoy Meknès itself that much but I would certainly recommend visiting the partially restored Roman city ruins of Volubilis. It's about a 45 mins drive up the mountains. Keep your speed limited to 60 km/h though as there are a lot of police speed traps! It costs 70 dh to enter the grounds and around 200 dh to get a guide to show you around (mine spoke excellent English).

We only stayed 1 night to see Volubulis.
We only stayed 1 night to see Volubulis. We should have stayed longer. The vendors had quality merchandise and prices were by far better than Fes and Marrakech. Our hosts were very hospitable. The room was comfortable and beautiful. This town is the real heart of Morocco.

Many attractions are covered up, undergoing constructions.
Many attractions are covered up, undergoing constructions. Not much to do here for 3;days.
Medina: alleys are dusty, lots of cats poop along the way. Cats roaming these alleys look dirty and sickly.
Better Options: Stay in Fes and just travel to Meknes for a day to see some attractions. Train ride to Meknes is only 28 dirhams one way. Option 2 - stay in a riad in Meknes for 1 day.

Relatively relaxed and hassle free.
Relatively relaxed and hassle free. A lot of renovation is going on (September 2023) so some monuments and museums are closed. The Jamai museum is excellent. Nearby Volubilis is also well worth a visit. Fez is roughly an hour away by car/bus/train so an easy day trip.

Meknes is going thorough significant change and...
Meknes is going thorough significant change and refurbishment - especially the medina and square. The souk are no longer traditional - they are markets catering to local people. The city clearly has some fantastic history and the Riad we stayed in was part of that but I didn’t see enough attraction for more than a very short visit. If you are visited Volobulis, I would recommend staying in Moulay Iddriss instead.
Best riad we stayed in Morocco. Hosts welcomed us with tea in a beautiful and typical place with flowers and sun, central but quiet at the same time. It overcame our expectations as regards costs and services: the room was really nice and with everyday cleaning, not missing anything. Breakfast excellent and abundant. The terrace is special, with a cold swimming pool to fresh and deckchairs to rest. The atmosphere is harmonious and really respectful of guests. We also used the washing machine service. Highly recommended in Meknes !
Our stay was fantastic!
The riad is 600 years old, architecture and design are so authentic and take you to the journey through time.
Our room was big with high ceiling and very comfortable.
The hosts are so lovely people, it was a great pleasure to have conversations with them.
Breakfast was traditional, good and tasty.
If you are visiting Meknes, you should definitely stay in this riad as it’s not just a hotel but an extraordinary experience that will enrich you Moroccan trip.
The Riad has great location inside the Medina, with a lovely terrace overseeing the area where I enjoyed the panoramic views for both sunrise and sunset in Meknes. The staff here are super friendly and helpful, really making you comfortable like being at home and never hesitated to share tips about the region. the room is spacious, clean, well equipped with nice hot shower. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling to Meknes for more than a day trip!
Well located in the medina - only a short walk from the Place Lahdim. Easy to find and to get to - the signs are easy to follow. Exceptional hospitality. Their chicken tagine is one of the best I had throughout my trip in Morocco (and they pulled it together with only an hour's notice). The area around the Riad is very walkable. I also loved the garden in their central courtyard. Definitely a place to relax and enjoy.
The patio is very spacious and green. Moreover, a big rooftop terrace adds another charming space to the hotel. Even though we had a room on the ground floor, we enjoyed our stay very much. looks like the Riad was recently renovated. Overall very good value for money in comparison to other Riads in Morocco. Very detailed touch on the interior design choice. You can tell that someone with a good taste owns this place
Gorgeous looking place and very friendly staff members and the manager is nice allocating and polite like everyone else I have met in there.
The breakfast is delicious and fresh. The room is clean and spacey, It is located near all the historical places in which you would like to visit.
I highly recommend this place to stay if you want a taste of Morocco and Meknes.
If you are looking to stay in the heart of the medina this is a great spot. We were welcomed even after calling to notify the hotel that we would be late checking in after 10PM. However, Im not sure how it has received such high ratings. It is probably because of how cheap it is per night based on USA prices.
Great Location in the old town.
The roof top terrace is awesome, some of the highest views of Meknes.
Good Wifi and first proper hot shower I’ve had in Morocco
Beds are comfortable in the dorm and no bunk beds
staff were amazing and very polite and professional
Exceptionally preserved riad with an rooftop terrace
with amazing views. It is located at walking distance of
all tourists sites in Meknes. The staff is very accommodating
and friendly. The optional vegetarian diner we ordered was
very memorable.
Having breakfast at the rooftop with freshly made Moroccan bread and orange juice was lovely. The room was quite although very central in the medina. The staff was the most friendly, helpful yet professional that we met during our stay in Morocco.
Great location! Amazing large unit, well furnished, super clean, comfortable like a luxury hotel, and the host is kind, friendly, helpful and professional. He drove us around the city and gave us personalized tour for FREE!
Of the roughly 30 ho(s)tels I've stayed in Morocco, this was by far the best. The location is great, and the building is a historic highlight itself. The staff was incredibly kind and the room was perfect.
