My family and I were in Stockton for an event and didn't hesitate to book this riverside property again as we had stayed there previously and loved everything about it. The location and the fact that the hosts had thought about everything that we would need. The property was as clean and neat as it was 4 years ago when we stayed over. Besides Andy and Louise are so kind that they didn't let us pay for an item we accidentally damaged while at the property. 100% recommend and we would be staying again when we are next in Stockton.

Stockton-on-Tees is a sad and neglected part of the UK that has suffered from post-war decline consequent of a lack of investment and centralisation towards the south east.
The North East has suffered greatly at the hands of indifferent UK Governments. Stockton town centre today is strangely quiet and has many rough sleepers and working poor. It has some rundown grandeur that must have been impressive 100 years ago and I'm sure that there are some notable highlights in the area, but I didn't have time to see them as I was on a work trip. In my limited experience it's not a particularly enjoyable place to visit, although other opinions may differ.

The attitude and lack of concern for a hotel guest from the restaurant manger by informing me at the last minute no meals available even though a table was booked and accepted also the restaurant did not close till 21:30 and a table was booked for 20:30 and was the only time i was able to book. Booked at around 19:15 and enquired about evening meals when I arrived at 17:00. Told i could use the restaurant at 20:30. Th restaurant manager should not be working in the hospitality industry as he has a total lack of customer skills. I found him unhelpful arrogant and ignorant.. This totally ruined and otherwise pleasant stay as the receptionist and bar staff were very friendly and helpful.

We went to visit family who we've not seen for a time so were focused on that but there is so much beauty in the area, so many places to visit that we didn't get to.
Need to go again with a plan of places to go.

The bedrooms were good, but the smaller bedroom was cramp as they have a heater right next to the bed, it is too close, I had to take the mirror down, as it was too loose, & we bumpy into it, & I didn't want to knock it off & break it. The terrace needs the walls plastering & then painting along with the guard rails over the windows & the windows need cleaning, they sorted everything else out for us on the Friday morning.

Two ladies in Yarm told me that Stockton Market used to be the place to go. The town was once buzzing. Investment is coming to Stockton, they said, and it'll come up again. I got a very good cup of coffee in Stockton and the buses, I read, are by Mercedes. But there didn't appear to be a taxi firm or rank at the station. If you're going places as a destination, that's a must.

Fantastic Hotel either new or just refurbished, modern rooms , friendly staff (Sharon On reception was amazing - helped us with Taxis to the wedding venue we were attending and very helpful all around) , breakfast was fantastic , waffles , pastries and full english breakfasts , plenty of drinks options. Bar was part of reception but was good , good deal on a bucket of beers which is a nice change from usually high bar prices at hotels. Fantastic Stay would definately go back!
Yes the location in Norton is very good for motorists as in a good transport links around the area and beyond plus good local bus service
The new Stockton Crèmatatorium is a short drive or taxi ride away.
There are steps to the front door, no lifts but those with some mobility issues there are rooms on the ground floor level - ask . Breakfast is extra but very good value, the best ! Book at time of booking room. Also a Wetherspoon pub a short walk away for food etc.
We stayed at Abbeyfield Lodge following our Son's wedding. Abbeyfield Lodge is excellent for any type of traveller. The room was spacious, well equiped and very clean. As was the bathroom and shower. Parking is not a problem. The staff are very efficient and friendly. Where else can you get a superb full english breakfast for £5.00. Other friends stayed in a nearby Hotel and were very dissapointed with the place. We would not hesitate to recommend Abbeyfield Lodge.
Cosy little house, very comfy bed and sofa. Quiet location with parking right outside the front door. Good tv & wifi, easy and speedy central heating and nice hot shower. Perfect for our visit to Stockton to see family who live a 3 minute walk away! We will be back.
Loved everything about this property, location/cleanliness/quiet and very homely.
Our 2 nights stay was 100 pounds cheaper than a local ( middle of the range) hotel.
Wouldn't think twice about using again for family visits.
The staff are very rude the cleaners are nothing but trouble anyone looking for a place to stay i strongly advise to keep well away from this pathetic excuse of a hotel discusting all round especially all the staff
the inside of the property was ideal for myself and my son whilst we visited Family was a decent price compared to basic hotel room around the area that you didn’t have to share the toilet and bathroom.
The house is well suited in stockton-on-tees. It is right on river Tees and a walking distance to Durham Queen’s Campus.
The hosts are amazing.
We will definitely return back again.
Full English for £5 say no more, where can you get that? Good quality and freshly cooked.
Ive used this Hotel in the past and would not hesitate to go back.
Excellent hotel, comfortable and cozy room......close proximity to Yarm town centre and ideal for Xmas celebrations...great host ...would highly recommend !
