Wonderful carefully retored thatched cottage in pretty historic village. Comfortable bedroom (one of two in the B&B), with good modern ensuite. Welcoming hosts, who gave us an excellent traditional Devon pub evening meal suggestion. Good breakfast in large pleasant dining room. Highly recommend.

I loved the three rooms that made up this overnight stay. The fridge was a massive bonus. Very comfortable and carefully decorated. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. Loved watching the cows in the morning just outside the property!

The town itself didnt seem to have alot going for it.
The town itself didnt seem to have alot going for it. Most shops were shut and the food options were poor. I stood at the bar at the Fountain Inn for 10 minutes waiting for a staff member to appear and no one did.

Okehampton was a cosy little place. The people seem exceptionally friendly.
Ma'ida was a good meal and you can bring your own booze from the nearby Lidl... if you're exceptionally stylish, like what we are.

Okehampton is typical of most small market towns, there are a couple of nice pubs, not many places to eat except the two pubs and takeaways. The Town Hall, opposite the White Hart, is a beautiful building, there are some pleasant walks around Simmons Park and the Castle is worth a visit. The railway has reopened with trains running to Exeter which is fantastic, although when we went, the train we were going to come back on was cancelled, which was annoying when there is only one an hour.

We picked up a local leaflet for Okehampton from our hotel, which gave an enjoyable walk around the main points of the town and brief details of some history. There are numerous coffee shops, hotels and other places for a coffee and/or snack. Lots of independent shops in the little arcades and along the high street.
The location was beautiful and ideal for not only a bed and breakfast stopover en route to/from Cornwall but also as a base to explore all the attractions of Dartmoor. Jane and Jakes made us very welcome. The information folder in the room about the Manor, Dartmoor etc was very comprehensive and well worth studying. The breakfast was excellent. We had a Feature Room which was very well appointed with a beautiful view over the Devon countryside however it was not at a budget price..
Ladies toilets were clean and did not smell of damp. Lots of community with kitchen and dining room - there was sharing of food where needed or if someone had made too much. Great to meet and talk to new people. Fantastic location - by the train station and the devon coast to coast. Up a hill from town centre. On call night staff friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast available for a price (£9?)
All of it. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and well maintained. Bathroom had a large modern shower and was equally spacious. Likewise the dining room was well decorated and maintained and the cooked breakfasts were spot on. I would thoroughly recommend this guest house and would be my first place to check if/when I next visit Okehampton. Thank you for you lovely service and welcome.
The cottage was immaculate and well equipped with everything that we needed. Ginny was very welcoming and helpful. The garden was stunning and all in all a really beautiful place to stay with a local pub just down the road with great food. Great location for exploring Dartmoor and other local towns and villages in Devon and Cornwall. Thanks very much again, we will be back x
On the Devon coast to coast cycle route, very cycle friendly. We loved our rooms on the top floor, felt private and well equipped with a kettle, hot chocolate and tea. Lovely breakfast and friendly hosts who clearly enjoy running their bed and breakfast. Great stars at night! Also great to have use of the microwave in the evenings! Thanks for having us!
Wonderful spacious house in a quiet, peaceful location on the north edge of Dartmoor National Park. Large well equipped kitchen and dining area, large living room with big comfortable sofa. Walking paths into the park minutes from your door, big grassy back yard great for kids or an outdoor meal. A little off the beaten path, but an excellent value.
The staff was very friendly and smiley! The room was simple and inexpensive, which was all I needed as a solo traveler. Best for backpackers and budget travelers. Wifi worked great. No issues with check-in/out, breakfast, keys, bathroom, etc. Nice wooded area -- 40 min walk along paths to Okehampton, and 20 min to Meldon Viaduct. I would stay again.
Great room, loads of space. Staff are friendly, helpful and hard-working! Location is great for a wander round Okehampton and it is also a perfect return to civilization after a week camping on the moors! Always convenient to have a Wetherspoons downstairs of course for food and drinks...
the owners were fantastic so friendly and made us very welcome! very home from home.

The breakfast met with all other previous comment's.
Mary was attentive without being intrusive .
Loved the home made fresh bread that accompanied the delicious full English breakfast.
Room was extremely clean and comfortable, couldn't fault our stay , perfect place to rest up after touring Devon and Cornwall.
The Tors is in a delightful village right on Dartmoor, and has been beautifully refurbished in the last 2 years. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The owner of the pub is delightful -- gracious, smart, and a font of knowledge about the area.
The Hotel was perfect very clean and staff so friendly and accommodating room was checked daily for cleanliness and extra tea coffee facilities everything within walking distance and the bar and dining area downstairs is an added bonus at very good prices
Knole farm is on the outskirts of a Devon village, very quiet, beautiful views from the garden. We were welcomed warmly by the host, had a very comfortable room and enjoyed an excellent breakfast! Would definitely return!
Breakfasts were very good served by friendly staff. The family room was a very good size and suited our purposes very well.
The location was great and allowed us to venture out on day trips in Devon and Cornwall.
Super hosts. Great location to visit Dartmoor National Park, Devon Coast, Exeter, further afield to Dorset, N Devon and N Cornwall. Modern, clean rooms. Excellent breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast was fantastic. The location just across the road from Dartmoor is excellent - you can go for a hike without needing to drive anywhere first. The hotel is cozy and quiet.
The location was perfect for exploring the whole of Devon as it was very central and close to the A30. Kelvin and Sue were great hosts, and Sue's scones were the best.
The breakfast was very good, and the location was great for exploring Dartmoor and the north coast of Cornwall and Devon.
Jane was friendly and very helpful.
