This is a lovely boutique hotel and so glad we found it. I felt it was a little pricey for the size of the rooms/beds but overall it was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and sweet and we were welcomed with a smile which goes a long way. Lovely recommendations were made and the lounge area was warm and inviting as we waited to go to dinner and had cocktails. Breakfast was the best we had in all of our Scotland trip. Highly recommend.

Oban is a city built around a late 18th-century distillery that produces one of the finest single malt whiskeys in Scotland. This normally peaceful town is invaded during summer when tourists use it as a base to visit the Inner Hebrides islands such as Mull, Lismore and Coll, supporting its status as the Gateway to the Isles.
The horseshoe-shaped Oban Bay is sheltered by Kerrera Island with its spectacular Gylen Castle. Award-winning seafood restaurants and lively pubs line George Street and the waterfront of Corran Esplanade adjacent to the harbour.
Take a short walk up the hill to McCaig’s Tower, a structure based on the Roman Colosseum, for the finest views of Oban’s centre and the outer islands. When you get back down to sea level, stroll into and stumble out of the Oban whiskey distillery after sampling the local version of the 'water of life'.
Admire the coastal scenery as you travel a bit out of town to the 7th-century ruins of Dunollie Castle, home of the Clan MacDougall. The Firth of Lorn gives visitors a fanatstic opportunity to try some sea kayaking.
As the capital of North Argyll, Oban has a great selection of hotels, guest houses and B&Bs available on Booking.com.

Oban is an absolutely beautiful coastal town with great access to the rest of the Highlands. The ferries were very easy to use and we had a wonderful time exploring the Isle of Mull and travelling past the Isle of Kerrera on the way. Also make sure to head towards Dunollie Castle and take the tour round - a great time if you enjoy history or stories of the clans.
All of the food establishments that we went to were delicious and had great options. Highly recommend the ceilidh dancing on a Monday and Thursday night as it was a cracking time.

Oban is on a very pretty bay. It was really busy on a beautiful Saturday and the people were friendly and helpful. Coasters and EE-usk accepted us for food/drinks with no reservations!
We did not get there early enough to explore the attractions.
The train station and ferry terminal were very efficient and helpful.
We discovered a choir and orchestra concert which was a real treat!

Oban is a delightful seaside town that offers very good restaurants, shopping (small shops with nice merchandise) and the ability to enjoy the beauty of the bay and all of its activity. Oban makes a great base for exploring the area of walks/hikes, going out on small boat short duration trips to see wildlife, lots of castles to visit or to take the ferry out to the islands. Taxi service is plentiful as are private tour guides.

A fabulous town with plenty of opportunities for boat trips to islands near and distant with awesome views. A photographers paradise.
The town has plenty to see and do with lots of great pubs and restaurants.
Something for everyone and very popular all year round.
Everything! This was the most perfect stay ever! From the excellent host communication (who helped us plan so many things from renting e-bikes to booking a sea cruise), to the magical property location/rooms/fairy garden/lake. The breakfast was fantastic! This by far was our groups favorite stay of our 10-day trip to Scotland! So glad we booked 2 nights here! No one should book 1! You need to do 2 nights at a minimum! Oban was a delightful sea town too! Thank you Seyward for all your help!!
This hotel is what it is. It's not luxurious, it's not perfectly maintained etc. but it's the cheapest hotel in Oban, it's right round the corner from the harbour, so a great location, with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast for a cooked buffet is great, and there's a few choices of continental too.
If you are just looking for somewhere for a few nights to sleep, wash and eat breakfast, there nothing wrong with this place at all and I'd probably try again here when I return to Oban.
We were down by another hotel. Booking cancelled 30 minutes before we arrived in Oban.
This hotel was available at short notice. We got a warm welcome at reception, the room was warm, clean and comfortable.
This was at a great location in the centre of town.
It’s an old building with character. The lift is old fashioned. We will certainly go back. Great value for money.
Nicely designed hotel about 10 minutes (walking) outside of the main part of Oban. Our room was quite comfortable despite being on the smaller side. It was perfectly adequate for our needs of a one-night stay. The shower had great water pressure. Good WiFi. Parking onsite. The breakfast was good as well with lots of choices. The people working at the hotel were very friendly!
We picked up the keys for the apartment from the main hotel reception desk. The Apartments are just down the road from the hotel next to a fantastic hardware shop. Our apartment was on the top floor with views over Oban. The apartments are extremely well finished, and very well equipped. Parking is in the street, on a meter, its free overnight 6pm-9am.
This hotel is in centre of Oban, close to shops, bus routes, train. Beautiful harbour nearby with ferry links.
Bedroom was very good size, clean linen each day, tea/coffee making facility with bonus Tunocks teacake each day.
Lovely breakfast each morning,
Very friendly staff.Bar facility available.
Place was spotlessly clean.
Lovely hotel with rooms that had all the necessities as well as some nice extras like afternoon tea. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed coming back after a evening around town and having a cocktail at the bar located in the hotel. Highly recommend this place if staying in Oban.
The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them the decor of the hotel was beautiful and very clean we will definitely stay again .we had lovely weather for our stay so enjoyed the beautiful scenery the fish platter at the ee-usk restaurant was just so fresh and delicious can't wait for our next visit to Oban.
The hotel was perfect for our overnight stay in Oban. Our room faced the water, which was a plus. Wonderful breakfast and dinner included. Both delicious and filling. Enjoyed the sunset in the bar area. Staff made me a perfect cocktail! Wish we could have stayed longer and we would definitely stay at this hotel if we return.
Great location in quiet riverside view area outside busier Oban. The older hotel is charming and filled with character, like the dining spaces and 'resident lounge'. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding, and waitstaff exceptional. Quiet and clean room. We would stay again in older part of hotel.
After our hotel cancelled on us the night before arriving in Oban, I'm very greatful that Perle Oban made room for us.
If arriving by train or ferry, you couldn't get a better location within walking distance. We enjoyed the downstairs bar & all staff were very pleasant & helpful.
Location was stunning over looking the loch, only a short drive from Oban. The hotel was very tasteful decorated with cosy sitting rooms overlooking the loch. The staff were warm and welcoming offering tips on local drives and stories .
Nice hotel in town centre good for shopping or sight seeing. Staff were very polite and efficient, especially the breakfast staff, it was nice to start the day with friendly people welcoming you in for breakfast.
The location right on the Waterfront at Oban is spectacular. There is much to see within walking distance from the Hotel and there are reasonable pubs for gathering with friends or meals.
The location of the Oban Bay Hotel is excellent, the bed was really comfortable, and the reception staff were professional and friendly, and the food in the restaurant was very good.
Lovely hotel not far from Oban centre. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Really good value for money and comfy beds.
