The Staff at the Crown is absolutely amazing. We had quite a rookie journey and they were incredibly helpful, we can't thank them enough for their hospitality and everything they've provided for us. Special thanks to Vivianne for taking such good care of us, we really appreciate it. Would recommend to stay there any time. Thank you :))

The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious and prompt. Nicely fitted bathroom (heated towel rail!) and fresh decor.
Staff were friendly and efficient, especially the lady with glasses who worked breakfast.
It can get a little rowdy in the bar at the weekend but the rooms were very well soundproofed and it was hardly noticeable once upstairs.
With beautiful views across Morecambe Bay and the distant Lake District mountains, Best Western The Lothersdale offers free Wi-Fi and limited free onsite parking.

The beaches are graded so that dog owners and children do not have to mix. There is a lovely sandy beach. Clearly the town has seen better days but so much effort has gone into providing such a lovely promenade and other amenities that a few more tourists would raise the profile of the seafront shops. There is a wealth of accommodation for all pockets in the town so it would be a shame not to take advantage of it.

We were only stopping over at Morecambe to facilitate a rental car return the following day.
It was a great place to stop for 12 hours. I don't know if we would have stopped longer by choice if we had the option but it seemed a great place for families with kids.
There is a nice walk along the beachfront and a statue of Eric Morecambe.
There are lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from as well.

The walk along the sea front was very interesting if you read the plaques and information boards. Don’t forget the stone jetty.
Take your picture through the picture frame looking across the bay or even with Eric Morecambe. There is even an artwork trail to follow including a cutout of the lakes which you can see across the bay
Plenty of cafes to call for a pit stop

Morecambe is very quiet at Easter and more suited to older people at this time of year as there is very little to do. However, it's perfect for dog owners. Most of the hotels and pubs allow dogs. The best thing of all was a gigantic ice cream purchased from a combined gift shop opposite the statue of Eric Morecambe. The promenade and stone pier, as well as the playgrounds are easily accessible and there are car parks on the sea front.
For TV sport and American style dining, The Station (opposite the Midland) is hard to beat.

Morecambe has a good selection of restaurants and the oldest pub in Lancashire with a very nice atmosphere, a selection of little independent shops you don't find in any town, we very much enjoyed our visit and would like to go back again

I Love Morecambe.
I Love Morecambe. There is a good community feel about Morecambe. i have wonderful Tai reasonably priced massages when I am there. There are street plantings and lots of seating. Good charity shops. Very good eating places. Lots of inspiring street art. The Morecambe bay views and sunsets are fantastic and the northern lights can be viewed from there. We ate plant based food at the Midland Hotel which was reasonably priced. It is easy to get around. the buses are regular and you can get rides in pony traps. I would never go to The Clifton hotel again but it was cheap.
Nice view, quiet location, very clean and comfortable room. The food served in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The self check in/out is very convenient and any questions I had were quickly answered online ( via Booking.com ). We were in Morecambe for an evening event and had brought a dog with us ( I have a camera so that I can see he’s behaving via my phone ) so needed somewhere that could accommodate him. We left him in the room whilst we ate, but there are tables outside that I guess he could have sat with us at.
morecambe has gone down the toilet since my last visit 3 years ago, i thought i would give it another visit especially as this hotel was at a great price and in a good ish location even though i dont like the south of the resort. and well it was horrible not the hotel the area full of drunks screaming at each other and everywhere was just scruffy and didnt feel safe. shame as i used to like morecambe, will it change with the multi million injection of cash erm no it wont.
We didn't spend much time in the hotel as we were visiting family, the room was a nice size with a view over Morecambe Bay, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. The hotel doesn't have parking but there was no problems parking on the prom and there is a covered area for you to pull your car into in case it's raining when you want to pack your car. I've stayed at similarly priced hotels on Morecambe Prom and I'd recommend The Strathmore over them
The hotel is nice if somewhat dated, a certain amount of faded glory. We had a nice weekend here, helped by fantastic weather and being directly on the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly, if a little thin on the ground. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Location is great for Morecambe, just down the prom from the train station and central beach area but quiet enough for families.
Great seafront location, lovely views, nice welcome, Trudi and Alan lovely hosts and great, friendly personal service. Fresh ‘cooked to order’ brekkie, and got parked at front door, hotel also with very modern and lovely tasteful decor! Spotlessly clean!!! Some nice ‘personal touch’ items in room too. Excellent value for money and defo happy to return when back visiting Morecambe!👏👏
Very easily accessible, close to excellent amenities. Very clean and extremely well equipped. We were staying overnight for a family funeral in Morecambe with three branches of the family attending from Scotland and Leeds. It was an ideal base and Mark was extremely accommodating and very informative. Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk and Bottled Water was also provided.
Couldn't fault the staff, the room, the food. Excellent especially for gluten free requirements.
Highly recommend.
Fantastic value for money.
We stayed in Morecambe so we could go to the theatre in Lancaster and have a walk along the prom the next day. Wonderful childhood memories came flooding back.
Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely touch from the hosts with birthday balloons and wine left for us. Home is lovely and clean and longe area very spacious. Bed rooms once reached max occupancy is a bit snug. Good location for morecambe. Due to the time of year didn't get to try any facilities but seemed a nice park
Very understanding, and helpful Owner/Property Manager. Location-wise, it was pretty decent, only 3-4 mins walk to Morecambe Bay. Close to essential shops - grocery and car repair shops as well. Uber Eats works just fine as well if you want to order some food or groceries.
The hotel was only a 10 minute walk from the shops etc. We stayed in a pleasant twin room. It didn't have sea views but was fine for our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was good, with a range of choices.
Staff were very helpful.
We loved the character of the building and the tv showing a video of the history of the hotel and Morecambe by gone days was a pleasure to watch. Special shout out the the chef. Amazing food large portions and accommodating for our needs.
Spacious room with lovely view over Morecambe Bay. Free overnight parking in public car park opposite the hotel with possibility to pay for 3 hours during the day. Good location on promenade close to town centre. Good coffee.
We enjoyed the stay, the hospitality was spot on, the room was clean, breakfast was lovely.
We would highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely stay again if we visit Morecambe in the future.
Communication with the owner was excellent. Location was good and not far away from the sea front. Parking wasn’t an issue. The Morecambe Hotel is literally around the corner and is dog friendly.
-The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size and well heated. glorious view over Morecambe Bay. We ate dinner one night, excellent wine and good steaks.
Superb room with a breathtaking view over Morecambe bay and the Lake District in the background. Charming and attentive hosts and marvelous breakfast. Brilliant stay all round.
