For an outwardly unremarkable basic hotel room I everything I needed on this trip.
Comfy bed and a real bonus was the excellent large well equipped gym and swimming pool sauna steam jacuzzi area.
I went home fitter then when I arrived.
There is also good countryside walk woodland trust public footpath close to the hotel.
Plenty of parking which felt pretty safe and secure. Good for larger vehicles as well.
Staff are great very welcoming, always busy seemed to be a well functioning and happy team of people doing a good job.
Front desk and organisiation was very user friendly.
I had to change my booking several times due to changing work commitments but they accommodated me comfortably and with no fuss. Minor issues with the room (bath plug broke ) were resolved very quickly.
Breakfast is good set me up for the day.
Dinners in the large pub bar area big screen football most nights not my thing but not the end of the world. Surprisingly good selection of bottled beers and wines.
Food was really well done and sensibly priced good quality food well presented and cooked.
A good size tea mug in the rooms was a pleasant surprise made me feel at home thanks

It's hard for me to write these negatives, but it's already caught up with me. My partner and I have been here several times. The apartment is very nice but lacks a lot in terms of cleanliness and supplies. I brought this to the owner's attention, he promised to fix it, but he didn't. We are very sorry, if this doesn't work next time we will try to look for something else. Maybe we'll try to go back and then I'll decide. This time it was really bad. The seat has not been cleaned since last year - ugly big stains. The curtains are covered in white stains - maybe milk? And stocks this time at zero. There was no washing up liquid, no soap, no shampoo, no kitchen roll and to top it off - absolutely no toilet paper. Just nothing. We had to buy everything. The clothes dryer was broken and the shoe rack was also broken. Very sad. We left the apartment with flu and fever because the heating was turned off, the boiler was locked. We bought a small electric heater, but it did not heat the apartment. Very noisy in the bedroom from the fan in the bathroom and through the closed window in the bedroom it was blowing so hard that it lifted the curtain. It was absolutely unbearable. We slept in the living room on a broken and dirty couch. I won't comment on what dirt was under it when we took it apart... :-(

This is a great place but 3 days is about right as many places are either closed or on reduced hours e.g. Captain Cook and Dorman? Museum. I went to Redcar and Saltburn for the other days which were very worthwhile.
The Saltholme nature reserve is a great attraction and caters for young and old alike. The modern visitor centre gives great views of the large reserve and the numerous hides scattered across the enormous site give fantastic views of the many different birds.
The visit to the Transporter visitor centre was fascinating but it would be great if they could repair the Transporter which would be a drawcard for so many people in the UK and beyond.
Public transport is very reliable and frequent and the train travel to the places mentioned above was very cheap and quick.

Spent most of our time at an event at the university so didn't get to see much of Middlesbrough. Lots of places serving food but especially loved The Tea House, Grange Road with its large selection of teas and cakes.
Loved the fountain and light display opposite the Holiday Inn too

On the second evening I stayed at this property the door was physically kicked off the hinges at half 1 in the morning by 3 drug dealers coming to collect an outstanding debt by one of the permanent people who lives there. The door wasn't fixed for 48hrs leaving the place completely open to anyone wanting to gain entry. The place is a dump and without doubt the worst experience i've ever had whilst contracting around the U.K. avoid at all costs.
We were pleasantly surprised how nice this facility was. We were in town for a football match and needed a nice place to stay; this place had everything! Lunch and dinner specials, fancy bar, late breakfast and cozy atmosphere. The staff were great and very accommodating. We’ll def be back next time we’re in Middlesbrough.
1. Good-sized room - good shower, relatively comfortable bed, more than enough wardrobe space.
2. Breakfast included (albeit quite limited in what was on offer).
3. Hotel located near Albert Park - which is a lovely green space.
4. Also, within 30 mins walk to the town centre, which is fine for me (as I enjoy walking).
I actually stayed at the Baltimore hotel, across the road. I presume it is run by the same management.
Clean and warm room, with ensuite, which was a bonus as I was expecting a shared bathroom across the road!
Friendly staff, good breakfast, great value for money..cheers😁
Location around a mile and abit walk into boro town centre and a mile to the stadium , nice breakfast and a bar avaliable with reasonable prices - over all clean property and good value for.money perfect for football or concert stay over very friendly staff
Comfortable, spotlessly clean, friendly welcome, good sized rooms, quiet and parking permit for street parking adjacent. 10 - 15 minute walk to town centre. Decent area. Nice breakfast - orange juice, full English, toast, coffee / tea. Well recommended.
Good breakfast, comfy sofa beds, rooms spacious enough though limited space, spacious shower, table/TV stand very thoughtful due to the limited space, there was space for everything though space was rather limited,
Really nice Hotel , lovely reception and my Room was comfortable , spacious and clean , nice bar also . a little difficult to find the Hotel , not knowing the area that well , but i did manage .
