From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Rebecca who was warn , cheerful and friendly we were made to feel welcome immediately.
The hotel is tastefully decorated with fine furnishings. Our room was superb and with a sea view.
Prior to our arrival we had already had a three course lunch so unfortunately, we had no room to dine in the evening. Our breakfast was amazing and upon our check out we were able to speak to Steve. He was pleased with our comments and we ended up chatting about all sorts of things, that’s what we call friendly.
We will definitely be going back at some stage and would highly recommend the North Cliff Hotel

Good location for the many walks near by.
Good location for the many walks near by. Not many places to eat in the evening if you didn't want to drive any where. Lack of toilets for public use. You need to be quite fit to get the best out of Lynton as it is very hilly. People are friendly which was very good. I would recommend the Crown Hotel for food and good service.

We really enjoyed Lynton.
We really enjoyed Lynton. We walked from our hotel in Rockford and enjoyed a pint and great fish and chips on a quiet, out of season Sunday. I imagine it's a different proposition in the Summer, but we prefer places like this when it's a bit quieter.

Lynton/Lynmouth - vey nice area. We hiked from Lynmouth up the hill - going right to pub 'the blue ball inn' - then on to Watersmeet - from there up the stream to Rockford Inn and then down to Lynmouth again.
Really nice walk!

A small and friendly cliff side town with a wonderful cliff railway and a tea shop selling the very best cream teas in all the surrounding area. Ample parking in a large convenient carpark to the town with many shops and facilities.
The room was well decorated and well furnished, with two lovely chairs in the bay window overlooking the sea. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was lovely and spacious.
Breakfast offered a lot of choice and the foot was great. The couple who run the place were also lovely.
There is a sister hotel just 100m down the road where you can also order an evening meal, which gave us generous portions. I also love the honesty bar. It felt very homely and more like an apartment as we also had use of the guest lounge as well. Would thoroughly recommend.
The property is in a peaceful location with beautiful sea views and everything you need for a perfect getaway. Well situated for exploring Exmoor and the North Devon coast. The accommodation was fully equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the property was warm and clean. Nice patio to sit out on in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy the views. Within minutes walk of local shops and the cliff railway. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We would happily stay here again if we were in the area.
Everything about our stay was perfect! Robert and Richard were so welcoming and friendly, they went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Attention to detail - second to none, there is no room for improvement left! The breakfast was amazing!
We highly recommend Highcliffe House to anyone visiting Lynton.
P.S. Thank you for a chocolate Easter bunny 😉
Rebecca who runs the hotel is simply lovely - so helpful and kind. The hotel is a beautiful Victorian building with stunning views of the sea. The facilities are all excellent and the beds were really comfortable. We enjoyed the extra features, like the guest lounge and the breakfast each morning was outstanding. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Great location, nice and quiet but still very close to lynton, lynmouth and Porlock.
The lanes and hill to get to the property didn't bother me in the slightest but I could see some may not like that.
Breakfast was nice with some good options.
Room was great, comfy beds compared to alot of hotels, big shower and tea and coffee facilities.
The location was perfect for exploring Lynton. Our host Drew was very helpful in suggesting a nearby restaurant and booking a nearby restaurant. The breakfast was outstanding! We thought parking on the street would be a problem, but after 4pm, spaces conveniently opened up. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed.
location is superb, easy access to the coast path and an easy drive to Exmoor. Breakfast was great, excellent quality. As a vegetarian who dislikes meat substitute products I often find problems when eating out, but not at Longmead House. The best breakfast I've had when away for years.
great breakfast, beautiful location with sea views, run by same family for many years who are very welcoming. The property has some very nice period features and feels cosy, it is not a modern up to date hotel which we like. Plenty parking which is useful in Lynton.
Everything was fine and the room was lovely and quiet. Lynton is a lovely small town and Lynmouth is also excellent - there is some lovely walking nearby - though climbing the hill after the funnicular had stopped for the evening really got the heart pumping!
Great location for hiking and likes the quietness of the hotel yet it’s close to Lynmouth and Lynton. Food and local ales were very good. Great welcoming atmosphere. The owners work hard to ensure the guests enjoy their stay. Would definitely return.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lynton , the Hotel was ideally situated with wonderful views across the town. It was very clean and our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was very nice ...overall a perfect stay.
Sinai house was an excellent B&B, the breakfast was lovely and the hosts were so friendly and hospitable. The views from the bedroom were impressive and I would definitely recommend the B&B to anyone visiting Lynton and Lynmouth.
Everything about this hotel was perfect. Breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough. The location was brilliant with easy access to both Lynton and Lynmouth.
Breakfast was excellent. Interesting experience navigating to the hotel but once there secure parking. I did not need to move car once arrived as could walk to where we wanted to go.
Great location right in the middle of Lynton, really looked after by the host, nice comfortable room with a great 'Devon' cooked breakfast served to get your day of to a good start!
