The staff were very pleasant.The dear lady who checked us in(unfortunately forgot her name) was so pleasant.The place had no mobile network and that feeling of being cut off was great especially coming from a busy and bustling city like London.
Everyone at the hotel were informal and the people around seemed warm and felt like a big family.
I highly recommend to stay here for a day or two when on a trip to the Isle of Skye.

The location was just for a stop over on our way to Falkirk. The bed had seen better days as the springs had gone and were very uncomfortable and noisy with little movement. The floorboards also were very noisy from upstairs and when moving around the room.

Scenery was nice.
Scenery was nice. You definitely need a car as a lot of walking and also you are depending on transport, which is unreliable. No shops only the Coop. If you have no car you have to walk over two bridges and back to get food. A few restaurants.Didn’t realise how far the guest house from the station was. We walked it in bad weather and it took us nearly 40 mins. It was definitely an experience. It’s a day visit place or a base to drive to other places.

The shops do get overrun by tourists often so can be difficult to get basic needs when coachloads of people are trying to get trinkets and tatt. This is not a bnb, just a bunk house, very poor, no standards, room grubby very dated, all needs upgrading, would not recommend to anyone, breakfast was well cooked, but next door in a bikers cafe! No disrespect to bikers, we also have a bike. Staff at the cafe welcoming..but its just a hostel!Susan

It was warm, quiet and speckless. We had everything we needed to make a quick breakfast and coffee/tea for our mornings and good restaurants nearby for the evenings. She made sure we had everything we needed and gave us a lot of useful advice for exploring the beautiful island. The room was spacious with a lovely view on the harbour and the ruins of the old medieval tower. Breakfast was good with a pretty good variety of options.
