It's a really cosy little flat in a great location. Had everything we needed for a weekend away. The reclining sofa was the perfect relaxing treat at the end of the day, and the bed was super comfortable. Parking was easy in the nearby pay and display behind the flat next to the health centre. Maggie is an excellent host and replies quickly.

A wonderful town with so much history and things and places to see. Hawick is very hilly but okay to get around if you take your time as I did.
We ate in the Locanda Romana restaurant, it was wonderful. The host/owner was very friendly and food very tasty.

This apartment is all luxury.
This apartment is all luxury. It was such a pleasure to stay in. Very comfortable beds, ours even with a pop up TV in it. All the appliances were new and amazing. There was a basket of treats for us to use as well. I wished we’d booked to stay for longer than just one night.

It is a rather gritty town.
It is a rather gritty town. Has been quite industrial but has some lovely buildings and the river area is being upgraded with defence walls against flooding. There are a few nice restaurants in the town especially an Italian by the river Santa Marina. There is a fantastic park to explore which has a cafe and childrens play area and great for dogs with a stream to play in. The town has Cashmere outlet shops and a whisky distillery. It is noted for rugby. It is close to beautiful countryside and places such as Melrose, Selkirk and Peebles are not far away, plus the coast about an hour away where thete are stunning beaches

Great location for visiting the Borders Area, and whichever route you took out of the town you were quickly into countryside. Only slight drawback many restaurants only open Thursday - Sunday. Had to travel out of Hawick on Monday to get an evening meal and on Tuesday and Wednesday fairly limited choice, unfortunately sign of the times perhaps.
Other that town had good facilities and a nice park with a good coffee house and eatery in the daytime.

Hawick is a border town built on ex council housing, the surrounding areas and history but if you want to go anywhere then travel north. Drugs truency and mason art are Hawick. Do not go in the winter other to see family which I did. Run down and bleak in the winter but if you want riding and recreation in the summer, it’s for you. Be warned you can get cut off in the winter.

Always love spending time in Hawick.
Always love spending time in Hawick. Such a friendly town with some interesting shops and a great selection of knitwear. The park is second to none! Beautifully kept and so many different areas of interest. Great for exercising or a leisurely stroll. Super cafe for a pit stop along the way.
Alan the owner was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Anything you needed he would get it for you. Our room was comfortable with tv and tea and coffee making facilities- extra tea bags were always available. There was a great choice of cooked or continental breakfast. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Hawick where there are restaurants or take-aways. You could also easily drive around the area even to Edinburgh or Glasgow. It's an ideal place to stay over for a few nights while exploring the area.
This is a lovely old house on the south side of Hawick with a very pleasant lawned garden. It is just across the road from Wilton Park with its museum, river, Pavilion Cafe and childrens play fort.
The hotel decor is very clean and fresh with pleasant bar and breakfasting area.

There was a great choice for breakfast, full Scottish was delicious and the service was just right, friendly and efficient
Wonderful host and brilliant small studio flat. Inside everything you need for a weekend stay or a little longer one (in our case ;) ). Flat was nice and clean, things for breakfast preparation left in the fridge, plus some additional stuff. Very quiet area, close to parks and shops in the town. Good communication to Carlisle and Edinburgh (A7 route). Wonderful surroundings for everyone who wants to visit Scottish Borders.
This hotel was beautiful, clean, and accommodating. Carol went above and beyond make us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious and the common areas help to make us feel at home. The owners did a wonderful job renovating this castle. This is my 5th trip to Scotland and I have stayed in many hotels, branxholme castle is definitely my favorite. Breakfast was amazing and definitely the best I’ve ever had.
It was a good value clean room in a very convenient spot in Hawick. The owner was very friendly and helpful and provided a very varied breakfast the next morning. We were walking the Borders Abbeys Way and there was no problem us arriving with rucksacks, boots etc. The bathroom was very fresh and had a very big bath with shower.
The staff were amazing!!! So friendly and sweet. The location was amazing right in town you can walk to anything. The facility was super clean and had character but rooms were up to date. Can't wait to go back and visit. I would totally recommend to family and friends. Keep up the great job Elms hotel.
Communication, friendly owners. Great garden, dog loved it. Very clean, COVID-19 cleaning top notch. Comfy beds and bed linen. Walks on the doorstep. Hawick a short drive away and enough shops to keep my older teen happy. Great park which we took advantage of with picnic when weather allowed.
Good location in centre of Hawick, very handy having Morrisons so close by. Road fairly quiet so peaceful stay. Very good communication from the host. The apartment was fairly spacious too, plenty of room for a family of four. Dog friendly too which was great, our chihuahuas were happy.
Very clean & comfortable flat with a great view across Hawick, also the kitchen was very well equipped with a lovely extra touch of a basket of goodies to help yourself. Parking just outside on street. Would highly recommend if in or around this pretty borders area.
This guest house was lovely. The room is large and has two very comfortable chairs. This is the best bed we have slept in over the course of this 3 week vacation. It is quiet, and I slept like a contented baby! The town of Hawick is very charming, also.
Excellent location in countryside with beautiful views. Combined with convenience of less than 10 minutes drive from Hawick for shopping and other services. Thoughtful touches of milk already in fridge and complimentary packet of "Borders Biscuits" !
Room was very comfortable. Dinner was great and good value. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A very pretty hotel in a lovely location with a beautiful garden. This was perfect for us to break up our journey home as a 1 night stay.
The staff at this hotel were very lovely and helpful and made our anniversary extra special. It had free-parking and is situated right by Hawick high street, comfy stay for one night en route to the highlands!
Our guest travelled to Hawick for our film festival and said they felt very comfortable and at home in this apartment. They were already asking when they could come and stay again!
The location, the flat and facilities are excellent. Having the option to cook, relax or eat out is great. A great base to explore Hawick and the borders.
