The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space to relax and make yourself feel at home. The shared kitchen area was also a lovely addition to our stay. We had a roast dinner at the pub and that was excellent too.

The Spa and facilities were great. We booked treatments and the only thing that could have made it better was a glass or 2 of fizz, but was still very pleasant. The hotel bar meal we had on the first night was very nice. The barman/waiter was talkative and knowledgeable.

This is one of my favourite hotels in the area, with an easy bus route right outside into Porthcawl (and a corner shop over the road if needed). I've normally stayed in the cottages rather than the main house (the apartment at the far end is great). The bar staff are effective and in the warm weather is it nice to site outside. I was not up for a large breakfast in the morning unfortunately, so just had a sausage sandwich rather than the proper breakfasts, which was unfortunate, I'm quite sure it would have been an excellent breakfast (and a good range of options).
