Bala is incredibly beautiful, as you would expect in the heart of North Wales. There is a spectacular Lake with a delightful steam railway running alongside. Bala centre has lovely pubs and antique shops, as well as plenty of space to roam around.

Bala lake itself is obviously the main attraction and that was well visited when we were there but there was plenty of car parking to access along with excellent options for access to the lake from various car parks on both sides of the lake. You could even take a ride on the steam train and get off at an excellent bay in which to canoe, swim, paddle and enjoy a full family day at leisure.

The town has everything that you'd need & the surrounding countryside is beautiful with some easy walks & some for the more adventurous. Water sports, walking & cycling are the main activities on offer & if you're happy with those combined with easy-going restful evenings then you'll love Bala.

I stayed for one night during a three-day cycling tour. Beautiful country around.
White Lion Royal Hotel is a good place to stay, especially if you need an early start, as it serves breakfast early. It also serves excellent pub food - though the kitchen closed early this day, so I missed out.
There are several other places to eat along the High Street, including pizza places and an Indian restaurant.

Disappointed of the town not a bit like we expected. Two nights we ate in a small Bistro just two doors from the hotel, the food was excellent and very friendly staff and service .
It was called Cyfnod Cafe and Bistro.
The property is located in a veautiful Bala valley. With amazing river view. Caravan is a 6 person capacity with 4 single beds and one double. Good size toilet and shower. Sitting space is also very spacious and comphy to gather around the dinning table. There is Tv, VCR recorder, dryer everything you need out of home.
the host was very pleasant and would deffinatly recomend the stay.
Lovely hotel, excellent food, staff very friendly, helpful and approachable. Breakfast very good and a varied menu. Food in the Huntsman Bar and Bistro was excellent and so was the 7 course Tasting menu in the Henry Robertson Dining Room. Stayed in the Beaumaris Turret Room lovely and clean, bottled water and Mead complimentary which was a nice touch, Tea and coffee also available.
Bala is a very quiet town, in the middle of a beautiful area and sitting right next to a lake. There were plenty of wonderful local places to eat, and the pastry shop right around the corner was exceptional. The manager provided very easy and clear directions on where to park, and the house had everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable.
We loved our stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.
The location is perfect for a break, Bala is beautiful. Also if you need to stay over for travelling further into Wales this would be an ideal choice. The owner is lovely very helpful. We would come back in the future. Thankyou for a lovely stay.
Lovely hotel right in the heart of Bala, spacious room with very comfy bed. gorgeous Welsh shower gel/moisturiser in bathroom, even started buying it back home. Staff were great, very attentive and loved breakfast, even had a parking space with our name on, will definitely return.
The hotel is in a good position, handy for local amenities such as they are. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The bar meals were well cooked, well presented and value. Unfortunately, breakfast was scrimped in both quantity and quality.
Beautiful house perfectly clean, comfortable beds and kitchen well equipped.
Lake Bala , Restaurants and Local shops ( co-op , spar ) within few minutes .
We had an amazing stay with our two children (5 and 10Y )

Everything was what you need for holiday, great location, amazing views, private back garden, well equipped kitchen, lovely patio area, close to town and Bala lake. 1hr drive from Snowdonia summit.
Brilliant location in some stunning countryside, close to Bala town centre and the lake, really lovely barn conversion with modern fixtures and fittings, very comfortable warm and spacious.
I enjoyed the place, nice and cozy, wonderful people, highly recommend for vacation in Bala - Welsh, to roaming around in Snowdonia National Park and wonderful lakes, outstanding service!
Couldn't have asked for a better location - right on the edge of Lake Bala with everything in walking distance! Cosy little cottage with the added bonus of a lovely cafe on the doorstep!
Lovely, comfortable, clean and cozy. Location great for Bala lake and easy to travel to other areas in North wales. Easy check in and great communication with hosts. Very easy parking!
Breakfast was filling and yummy, great location near Bala lake for a pit spot.
Rustic old pub a little tired but added to the feel. Owners were friendly and hospitable.
