location was great and easy to start/finish bike ride from. Walk up to the hilltop shrine was easy walking distance and worth doing for the view. Laundry room was easy to use and no problems getting a machine. Reception was very accommodating. The only thing that we were disappointed about was maybe the meals at the restaurant - while sounding amazing on the menu probably wasn't what we expected when it came out or very small portions considering the price, and second-night dinner wished we had gone else were. But for ease after a days riding we didn't venture out. other than that really enjoyed our stay and they made a great G&T from a local Gin.

Great location, in the heart of Onomichi! Short walking distance to convenience stores, ramen restaurants and the famous Onomichi walking/shopping mall.
The staff were very kind and helpful, providing maps and places to rent bikes for the Shimanami Kaido.
The room was cosy, had Japanese TV and the beds were clean and comfortable.
I also enjoyed the humidifier/air purifier.
Great place to stay for people wanting to go cycling or try the famous Onomichi Ramen!

The breakfast was 2 pieces of bread, 2 pats of butter, and jam. and a toaster. There was a coffee maker. I would not call this a bed a breakfast.

An easy ten minute walk from the station, on a nice smooth paved pavement, along the seafront. A shopping arcade opposite the hotel with a fair number of options ( if you like Onomichi Ramen.) Great views of the sea from the bedroom window. Well thought-out interior decor and fittings, very stylish, comfortable , large bed.!

When cycling I came across this hotel and made a spontaneous reservation for the next night. It was incredible to arrive after a day of cycling, leave my things in the beautiful and thoughtfully designed room, have a shower, go to the onsen next to it, and be on the rooftop just when the sun was going down; before ending the day with a special dinner in the same building. In the morning before taking the ferry back to the mainland I had a traditional Japanese breakfast with a nice coffee. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. I highly recommend stopping here when cycling and staying for a night or two!

Quaint little town - lots of small, independent shops. Feels like you are stepping back in time. Everyone we met was very friendly. Perfect base for starting the Shimanino cycle ride across nearby islands. Good bike hire at docks.

Onomichi is easily one of the best places I've ever been to. There is so much beautiful scenery and so many hidden gems to enjoy. The people are marvelous and the food is amazing. And of course the great many cats to be seen make for a truly magical experience

My favourite place is the observation deck on the top of the mountain, which has a great view. You can take beautiful pictures of this city. For food, Onomichi Ramen is fatty for me, but there are other restaurants in city which have their own specialties. A city walk is recommended, since there are a lot of temples on the mountain, and you need to get there on foot, and explore their beauty. I will prepare a better shoes for the next trip and bring less item with me next time, because the tour on in the city requires a lot of physical strength.

For many Onomichi is the start of the Shimanami Kaido cycle route, but Onomichi has enough attractions that it is worth staying at least one day to look around. The Temple Walk is worth viewing the 25 temples along the route and the view from the top is great, and Cat Alley is great fun. A walk along the pier and having a snack or meal at one of the restaurants there is pleasant.

Onomichi is a nice seaside, port town and has a good vibe.
Onomichi is a nice seaside, port town and has a good vibe. Its the start, or end, of the Shimanami Kaido and attracts many people keen to do this cycling route. The town has a nice atmosphere as the people are friendly, helpful and accommodating. If I was keen I'd stay an extra day amd do the temple walking route as it seemed nice and went into the hills above town. Local ramen was demand served by super friendly hosts in the restaurants.

If you want to cycle the Shimanami Kaidou, be s7re to arrive early in Onomichi, since you are able to visit the main attractions, being Senkou-ji and the old temple course, in a few hours. After this you should be able to start cycling the Shimanami Kaidou.
The Hotel has an excellent view of Onomichi bay. The house is a good conserved 100 years place. There are just a few rooms so is important to book with time. Please be aware no car is possible to arrive near. You need to walk depending on where you park your car (Best is the Senkoji Temple parking 600 yen a day). A totally good experience with Hotel staff. Recommended for those who would like to experience 100% Japanese style hotel
Receptionist staff was helpful to bring my luggage up to the room even though I did not ask for help explicitly as i was over-encumbered with too much luggage pieces on hand. I appreciate the sincerity and help rendered. Room was spacious and clean overall, with the hotel situated just a minute or two away from JR Onomichi. Overall a very pleasant stay.
We had a very comfortable and spacious room with a much appreciated Japanese style. The room was quiet with good beds. The onsen was very modern, tastefully decorated and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located right on the Shimanami Kaido cycling route. The included breakfast at a nearby restaurant was delicious!
Our stay in Onomichi View Hotel Seize was great! We only stayed for a night but everything was great! The staff are very friendly and helpful! They picked us up and brought us back to the train station! The view from the room is amazing! Nice quiet neighborhood close to sightseeing places! Would definitely come back :)
Excellent location for family riding bikes on Shimanami Kaido. Small but comfortable room with bunk style beds. Shared bathroom but ok as only 3 rooms. Host very helpful. Not a traditional hotel but very good for our requirements (family of 4).
The location and friendly staff!
The hotel is just right above the station!
Although it’s close to railway , it’s not too noisy and your sleep won’t be disturbed.
Staff are very nice and able to communicate in English.
Clean, comfortable and cute! The location is full of snack bars and karaoke spots. It was around a 20 minute walk to the Onomichi bike rental port. The bunk beds have privacy doors. Everything seemed really clean.
The staff was exceptional. They helped arrange transfer of my luggage from Onomichi to Matsuyama when it looked impossible using the original way I had intended. Excellent hospitality. Thank you to the staff!
I booked this hostel, because most hotels were fully booked.. We had two rooms and slept on the floor. The mattresses were very thin, I had expected thicker futons. Toilet en shower were basic, but ok.
Nice Hotel with friendly staff. Room very nicely decorated. Cafe and Breakfast room good.
Lots on offer for breakfast ice bathroom.
Twin bed room
Shuttle bus ran from 8 am in morning if reserved.
Right across from JR Onomichi station, and next to the rental cycle place for those cycling the Shimanami Kaido. Attentive english speaking staff. Room size was pretty good by Japan's standards.
So close to onomichi port, great view, comfortable bed, good desk for working, very helpful staff who gave me a map for the temple walk and helped me find an e-bike! They were great.
