Nairobi offers an exciting blend of adventure, culture, and...
Nairobi offers an exciting blend of adventure, culture, and urban charm. The city is a gateway to thrilling wildlife experiences, with the Nairobi National Park providing a rare opportunity to see, giraffes, and rhinos against a backdrop of skyscrapers. The Giraffe Centre allow for intimate encounters with giraffes. Nairobi's rich cultural heritage is showcased in attractions like the Karen Blixen Museum and the Nairobi National Museum. The bustling Maasai Market is perfect for shopping for local crafts and souvenirs. Culinary delights abound, from street food stalls to high-end restaurants offering both local and international cuisine. Despite its busy urban environment, Nairobi has serene spots like the Karura Forest for nature walks and picnics but was flooded during my visit. The city's vibrant nightlife, friendly locals, and mix of traditional and modern experiences make Nairobi a captivating destination for any traveler. Be extra cautious of your safety and belongings while travelling, lurking danger of thefts always.

Buzzing city with a lot of restaurants, bars and social places. Easy modes of transport. Highway has made it wonderful to go from airport to town and vice versa. Lots of greenery and access to game lodges and parks. Lots of high rise buildings too which is not so nice.

loved Nairobi elephant orphanage and giraffe Centre a must - we also saw Bomas of Kenya and some museums. Also visited a tea farm which was a great relaxing day. Restaurants we visited were very nice. People very friendly - easiest way to get around is make sure you have uber app although be careful of them trying to hike price up when they realize you are tourists. Try not to arrange visits for peak travel time as roads are extreamly busy and can be scary. Also if there it is an absolute must to book safari.

I like that there are small privately owned shops and street hawkers. I prefer shopping at individual stalls as opposed to a department store. The food at The Olive Restaurant is a good value. I'd love to look around Simlaw Seeds; I used to have a farm and will return to farming.

Loved Nairobi!!!
Loved Nairobi!!! Do not let people freak you out with the security... No problems whatsoever (not more at least than any western countries to say the least). Do not spend your time in shopping centers, imerge yourself meet Kenyans and go around!! Uber are super safe.. Go for it
Studio Apartment was perfect size for me as single traveller.
Working lifts, and clean , which was great!
Ideally located for ease of access to CBD, Westlands , Gigiri, industrial area.
Hot Water shower available on demand. With excellent pressure - which was perfect!
Friendly staff at the front office reception and willing to assist.
When I arrived the iron was missing but was given once calling the reception.
Good stay for short term and ease of access.
I would definitely recommend the facility and would come to stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel the night we arrived in Nairobi and the night before our departure. The free hotel shuttle was on time, the driver waited for us patiently when we were delayed and made our trip very smooth. The location is less than 10 minutes drive from the airport. The staff was lovely. The food was very good. We could even get breakfast at 5 AM before checking put for our early flight. The rooms were simple but clean and sufficient for one night. A very convenient stay close to the airport.
Everything. It was affordable, the bed was clean and comfortable to sleep in, and the bathroom had proper cold shower. I actually stayed on my first 2 nights in Nairobi, before I travelled to other cities across Kenya and Tanzania. And when I came back to Nairobi to spend my remaining 3 days there before leaving Kenya for good, I booked the hotel again because of my overall positive experience there. It's also in the centre of downtown Nairobi so finding transport and food was easy.
I rarely write reviews as I spend a lot of time in business hotels BUT Best Western Westlands stands out from every other business hotel I stay in for one reason - the most accommodating and helpful staff ever! Nothing is ever too much trouble and each and every staff member goes out of their way to make sure that your stay is perfect. For me there is no other option in Nairobi, this is the best hotel by far for business or leisure travel and value for money. Thank You
Terry - recepcionist - very helpful, focused on client's support
breakfast/restaurant - typical for this region of Africa with added option
flexibility of check-in and check-out
the hotel is secured and has own electricity generator
Kilimani is relatively safe part of Nairobi; the neighborhood is OK (many safe shops/restaurants)
in category budget/middle - the one of the best option in Nairobi
wifi - works fine!
room and hotel cleanliness - OK!
I stayed at this hostel twice during my stay in Nairobi. It's located near Westlands in a secure estate and is a perfect place to escape the craziness of downtown Nairobi. It wasn't too busy when I was there but we had fun chilling and chatting in the reception area, watching a movie in the film room, the kitchen was fully equipped and the beds were comfortable with adequate bedding. The bathroom was clean and large with hot water.
Jamia Central Hotel is a wonderfully quiet and excellently located within walking distance of matatu stages (to Naivasha f.e.) but just outside the hectic areas. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located on second floor of a shopping center but very quiet. Nice and clean. Very close to a Naivas Supermarket (for some snacks as I arrived late) and close to City Market and easy access to CBD. Would stay here again.
Charity was amazing and very helpful. The host at the restaurant on the main level was too. Poolside restaurant was great! Hotel is in the city but is very quiet and serene. The rooms overlooking the city (Deluxe) are the best ones. Located on the 5th/6th floors. I upgraded and it was definitely worth it. Enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back.
Best staff ever!!! Safe for solo female, delicious breakfast, nice (warm) pool, good vibe, interesting selection of TV channels (a lot of news), again outstanding staff! It’s Nairobi so adjust your perspective and enjoy this absolutely wonderful hotel. Thanks to Patrick and all the staff for your incredible kindness.
Excellent property with the most cordial staff. The location is great for quick access to CBD, Kilimani, or even just a quick walk or Boda ride from Westlands. The rooms itself are impeccably clean and well taken care of. You’ll feel at home and the receptionist Faith is very responsive to your needs. Thank you!
The location is right in the centre of Westlands and very close to good bars and restaurants. There is one below the hotel which is a karaoke bar and very loud but fun to join in and a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. You get what you pay for so for a cheap one night stop it is okay.
Surprisingly quiet because it's right inside the middle of Westlands CBD. The parking is basement and a few on ground level. Parking seemed squeezed. Rooms are smaller compared to others in Westlands. Wifi is good and the TV has alot of channels. Good working space. It's good for business trips.
The location is great if you want to explore the city. The place itself has such a cool and young vibe to it that we ended up spending a lot of time at the hotel restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Nairobi again.
Traveling into Nairobi we had no idea what to expect, the hotel kept in communication with me as to meeting us at the airport and getting us to the hotel. It worked perfectly. Many thanks to the Crowne Plaza and their staff.
The hotel is located just 5 minutes from the airport terminal, which is convenient for airline cabin crew and travelers who need a hotel for the night while transiting through Nairobi to another destination.
The apartment that I book online at booking.com .Homes by Della - Sebuleni Westlands, Lantana Road, Westlands One Urban, 1st Floor, Nairobi, Kenya wasn't the same as I booked.
The internet was extremely fast. The bed was comfortable. And the location of the hotel is in the middle of Nairobi Westlands. The position of the desk to work was perfect.
