Accra, the vibrant capital of Ghana, offers a rich tapestry of culture, history, and modernity. This bustling metropolis boasts beautiful beaches like Labadi and Kokrobite, where visitors can unwind and enjoy the Atlantic Ocean. It is a more organised version of Nigeria. Good for tourism.
It is a more organised version of Nigeria. Good for tourism. There are many places to learn about the history and culture- National Museum Accra, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Osu Castle etc.
It's very easy to exchange dollars/euros/pounds to the local currency. On average, Accra is not expensive for a capital city. The people are also fun and lively. Great destination. Good hotels too!

Accra is a city with many layers.
Accra is a city with many layers. You need to take time to see all of it and the best advice is to ditch Google and ask the local taxi drivers for what ever you fancy. Be specific and don`t be shocked to find first world restaurants tucked away in obscure run down streets. Stay away from tourist traps as Ghana is expensive as it is and malls charge over and above for things you can have in the city for less.

The sightseeing tours were most enlightening.
The sightseeing tours were most enlightening. Learning about the history of the country and the people was eye opening. It was so much more than what we have been taught in schools and what we see on TV. The people we encountered were very pleasant and welcoming. Visiting the museums and other historic sites was absolutely amazing. The restaurants and the food was delightful. Some of the most beautiful restaurants. As well, Mosques and Churches were always nearby.
I stayed 10 days and visited 5 of the 16 regions. I will return to see and experience more.

Title: Beware of Deceptive Andy at TheLennox in Accra
Title: Beware of Deceptive Andy at TheLennox in Accra
I booked a room at TheLennox in Accra through Booking.com, which was confirmed via email and also over the phone by a person named Andy. However, my experience with Andy quickly revealed him to be a dishonest individual.
Moments after arriving at the hotel, I presented my active booking confirmation to Andy, only to find out that he had sold the room to another guest through Airbnb. Despite providing concrete evidence of my prior reservation, Andy callously claimed that the other guest had paid, and therefore, he had given the room to them instead. This behavior is nothing short of deceitful and impudent.
To make matters worse, Andy also attempted to upsell me to a room that was double the price of my original reservation. It is evident that he was trying to coerce me into paying more for accommodation. This kind of manipulative behavior is unacceptable and further underscores his untrustworthiness.
I want to emphasize the unscrupulous role that Andy played in this situation. He knowingly confirmed my reservation, then tried to push me into a more expensive room while giving away my original booking to someone else for his own gain. It's clear that he is not to be trusted.
I write this review as a deeply disappointed customer to warn others about the risk of encountering someone like Andy at TheLennox. Such unethical and dishonest behavior should not be tolerated in the hospitality industry. I strongly advise against staying at this establishment, as you may also fall victim to Andy's fraudulent actions.
Never again.
Location, security, comfort, and cleanliness are things I don't compromise when searching for accommodations during my travels, and this place aced all of them during my stay. At the top is the security protocol implemented at the building for guests. The apartments are very modern, clean, and comfortable. The location is just great. It is easily accessible and very close to the airport. Making everything better was my host, Eric. Very polite and effective guy. I look forward to staying here during my next visit to Accra.
I highly recommend the hotel and started to recommend to friends and family. I hope to return soon for another visit. What I liked most about the property was the caring, respectful and warmth of the staff especially the hotel manager Mavis, who followed me up before during and after my return to ensure I was happy, comfortable and had nothing wanting - she went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable stay in my first trip to Ghana
Prices are too high for Accra as a whole. The standards in Accra is not there yet for the rent being paid in Accra. this is killing off business and chances to get better. London, Atlanta, Barcelona and many other countries are neater, cleaner, constant water, clean streets and still 4 times cheaper. I just wish hotel managers look to this for the charges they give to individual in Accra. Unnecessarily expensive with no grounds.
Great location- central and close to the airport after a late flight. Great location for nightlife, restaurants and close to Accra sites. Pool was gorgeous, seating areas around pool very comfy. Restaurant was very great, food was excellent, staff all over the very friendly and helpful. We requested a driver from the hotel & he got us to the hotel comfortably and quickly. Beautiful oasis right in the middle of Accra!
The room had one cup, one towel, one toilet roll yet we booked for two people. Same everywhere in Ghana. It is the culture to provide for one when two book. Why? Breakfast and evening meal were very good with plenty of choice. Chef was very helpful. Reception staff were good but cannot understand poor quality room. Our bedroom window opened onto a half completed en-suite for another room!!
The superior suite was so lovely and classy. The ambiance alone was refreshing. I love that it’s situated in the heart of Osu. The staff were ready to assist at every step and all other services I engaged just seemed to go beyond my expectation. I will recommend this place for anyone needing a getaway, traveling to Ghana or within Accra! It’s super💯
I was upgraded to a 2bed due to an issue - and what a delight that was! Such a stylish apartment with a modern decor, loved the African artwork and urban vibe, a fitting representation of beautiful Ghana.
My host Osborn was superb, very attentive and accommodating. Shout out to Rosaline on check out too.
I've already booked to return
A lovely, cozy and well located hotel … seemed an oasis within the bustle of central Accra. The attentive and welcoming staff made our stay more than comfortable, with thoughtfully appointed and cared for rooms, an on-site restaurant offering delicious food, and staff that truly looked after us. Highly recommended.
Very quiet neighborhood, pleasant small hotel with a small swimming pool. Spacious room with lot of light, large bathroom with hot water. Complimentary water, tea and coffee. Good service to the airport. Very kind staff. Decent restaurant. Excellent wifi. They take credit cards, which is not very obvious in Ghana.
I booked the apartment for my parents trip . It was my dad’s 70th birthday. They had a wonderful experience particularly with Rashida who was an awesome host checking for their needs from time of arrival till they left.
The hotel is also well suitated - close to major places in Accra the mall, museum etc
It was a pleasure to stay at Bays Boutique Apartments; everyone was really kind, even the security officer. The accommodations are well-maintained and furnished with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. I would recommend anyone who is coming to Ghana to stay here.
The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The staff were very helpful and kind. The location is good, close to the airport, and it felt very safe. There are numerous restaurants close by. After traveling around Ghana for 3 weeks it was a great place to stay.
I loved the people and the place. Absolutely amazing pool and surroundings. There is a great restaurant called Jamrock with live music and next door to the hotel there is a big shopping centre. I will definitely stay there again next time I go to Ghana.
Amazing facilities and the owner was brilliant at providing recommendations for me and my friends. Felt very safe and welcome. Best shower I had on my month long visit to ghana. Would highly recommend.
The breakfast was great! The room, the view from the balcony, the design and decorations were exquisite! I would definitely love to book again for my future stay when I return to Ghana!
Nothing, a Confirm reservation from booking.com, we get there he tells us he has no rooms available for us. Had to call booking.com to make this complaint. Ghana when? I quess never.
Breakfast was great. I also appreciated the flexibility that was offered around check-in. Will recommend my friends stay at Hechtech during an upcoming trip of theirs to Ghana.
